The Land of the Whispering Pines
Good morning, everyone; I pray that you are all having a pleasant, uneventful Saturday. Relax, play with the kids, or let the kids play with you. Play tag with your husband or wife while Martha's chihuahua is a yippin' and a yappin' at your heels, gaily wagging its little tail in a frenzy into the day, along with Bobbie McGee and me in the out-of-control front seat of the old chuck wagon going downhill on a lonely moonlit loose cobblestone wagon trail somewhere between Masachusits and Moosennee. "Yikes! Better put your dentures in your pocket, Ma! And hang on to your hat! This is going to be a rough one!" 
We appear to be back around the average temperature for this time, which varies on average in January from 41°F to 14°F. Today's expected height is 34°F, but we got down to a whopping 2°F for a week back when everyone was getting all that snow the first time somewhere between Halloween and Christmas, I believe. Then, the other one is in the early part of the new year, and some are still getting whacked.
We got a total of what's outside right now? About two inches north of Toronto is swamped in snow, and south of the border, there are tornadoes and forest fires. At this time of year, it was unheard of just a couple of decades or so ago, especially in the winter. Not the same pattern as I remember, now a day it seems that people get whacked no matter what time of year it is.
And the shaking, the Great Mother trembling in discomfort and pain from our intrusion. The trembles get stronger each time. Suppose we can survive in a world with constantly burning vegetation, hurricanes and tornadoes, even earthquakes and volcano eruptions, and tsunamis that seem to be on the rise. In that case, more CO2 will be pumped into the air. And what does the study of geology and volcanology, electromagnetic polar shifts, would be the immediate and most obvious places to start looking if you are looking or studying the motion of the fault lines.
One may ask, "What do geology and volcanology have to do with the surface environment and its cycles?" The surface elements are mostly affected or governed by the sun, the atmosphere, and our oceans. I believe these motions are called convection currents. Let it suffice to say I don't have enough data to make an intelligent comparison or to make a theory between volcanology and the external environment enveloping the Earth. Whether geological and seismological has any effect on the external environment, outside of tsunamis, we don't have that data that I know of.
We can fireproof our homes under domes and underground, but sooner or later, we will have to go outside for fresh supplies for our daily sustenance. What? Where? And where from? Greenhouses would be very limited in terms of supplying an entire population. I believe that even if we were to turn off all fossil fuels worldwide today! The damage would already have been done, and now Nature needs to heal and will run its course to correct the imbalances.

Some California residents get extra protection from wildfires – for a price
As the Palisades fire began intensifying Tuesday evening, Los Angeles real estate executive Keith Wasserman sent out a plea on social media: "Does anyone have access to private firefighters to protect our home in Pacific Palisades? I need to act fast here. All neighbors houses burning. Will pay any amount."
The now-deleted post sparked an intense blowback by social media users who felt the wealthy shouldn't be given special attention during an emergency.
"Whose home gets saved shouldn't depend on their bank account," one TikTok user commented.

I can't argue with this one: Desperate people do desperate things, and so do the rich; if they can afford to pay for it, that's their privilege. Just a tiny suggestion: If these people are rich enough to have special insurance, why don't they hold a charity collection for those who can't afford it?

The conspiracy theory had circulated widely on social media, including on Meta's own platforms, Facebook and Instagram. It was eventually debunked by one of the third-party groups that Meta paid to fact-check popular content on its sites.
On Tuesday, Zuckerberg announced an abrupt end to Meta's fact-checking program in the U.S., drawing praise from Trump.

Los invernaderos ser铆an muy limitados en t茅rminos de abastecer a una poblaci贸n entera. No puedo discutir con esto: la gente desesperada hace cosas desesperadas, y tambi茅n lo hacen los ricos; si pueden pagarlo, ese es su privilegio. Solo una peque帽a sugerencia: si estas personas son lo suficientemente ricas como para tener un seguro especial, ¿por qu茅 no hacen una colecta ben茅fica para aquellos que no pueden pagarlo?
