Good morning, everyone! This is the Fairy Lady here in my sunny Newsroom, preparing to make my report for the day. I write everything here that pops out of my mind: opinions, suggestions, and a little humor to go with your coffee and donut. I check for the accuracy of any news reports through SNOPES, and my sources are mainly CNN and CBC because they are not as biased as some of the other news sources that are biased and politically influenced in reporting their news.
I pray the sun stays out for a while just to cheer up the day. I woke up this morning to go to the powder room and guess what? The sun was shining on my face. Isn't that incredible? But that also meant I stayed in bed an hour and a half longer than usual. But it was so worth it.

WEIRD: Phycology research for Mental Absurdity
I live for today and worry about tomorrow when tomorrow comes. I worry about the NATIONAL DUMBNESS in the world. "Oh my! Dumbness, you say! Is it taking over the world?"
HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DUMBNESS DAY!"
Then, in silent meditation, you say, I pray not everyone has become dumb. They think to themselves, Dear G-d, there's nothing I can do about tomorrow, so why worry about it? But in my opinion, there is something I *can* do, not just worry, but get off my butt and join in helping to make the dominos fall against the flow in whatever capacity I can, tiny or big. My way of contributing is to do my best to put in my two cents with this blog, The Tree House News.
Plan today, for tomorrow, the next day, another day, and another, one at a time, in cadence, but START WITH THIS ONE and don't just sit on your butt and say, "Oh! I'll start tomorrow", tomorrow is gone and the next thing you know you're falling off a cliff, free falling with flapping and flailing arms and legs, without a parachute? No way, man! I'm a stayin' home; you'll be lucky if you have a closet left to hide in.
I should know about the inferiority complex; I was like that when I was younger: inferior and alien, alien, like in, from outer space, complete with the little antennas on the back of my head, with tiny red knobs at the end of them that blinked red and blue and went beep, beep, for all to notice.
There were also always the big negatives. For Example: Let someone else worry about it. Or how about, "I'm stupid! What do I know? They know better than I do." I'm just a little nobody.

US freezes almost all foreign aid
The US State Department has frozen nearly all foreign assistance worldwide, effective immediately, days after President Donald Trump issued a sweeping executive order Monday to put a hold on such aid for 90 days.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio sent a cable, seen by CNN, to all US diplomatic posts on Friday outlining the move, which threatens billions of dollars of funding from the State Department and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) for programs worldwide.

American tech billionaire Elon Musk made a surprise address at the campaign launch for Germany's Alternative for Germany (AfD) party as thousands of people gathered across the country to protest the rise of the far-right party.
Musk, who spoke to the crowd in a live video, was met with huge cheers by the roughly 4,500 AfD supporters gathered inside a hall in the eastern German city of Halle on Saturday.
While speaking with party leader Alice Weidel, AfD's candidate for chancellor, Musk reiterated his belief that AfD is Germany's "best hope" in the upcoming general election on February 23.

Two years after Foreign Affairs Minister M茅lanie Joly declared she was taking the unprecedented step of moving to confiscate millions of dollars from a sanctioned Russian oligarch with assets in Canada, the government has not actually begun the court process to forfeit the money, let alone to hand it over to Ukrainian reconstruction — and it may never happen.
The federal government announced on Dec. 19, 2022, that it had ordered a freeze on $26 million US held in a Canadian bank account by an offshore investment fund, saying the money ultimately belonged to Roman Abramovich, a high-profile ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

¡Buenos d铆as a todos! Soy la Dama de las Hadas en mi soleada Sala de Redacci贸n, prepar谩ndome para hacer mi informe del d铆a. Aqu铆 escribo todo lo que se me ocurre: opiniones, sugerencias y un poco de humor para acompa帽ar tu caf茅 y tu donut. Verifico la precisi贸n de cualquier noticia a trav茅s de SNOPES, y mis fuentes son principalmente CNN y CBC porque no son tan sesgadas como algunas de las otras fuentes de noticias que s铆 lo son y est谩n pol铆ticamente influenciadas al informar sus noticias.

Dos a帽os despu茅s de que la ministra de Asuntos Exteriores, M茅lanie Joly, declarara que estaba tomando la medida sin precedentes de proceder a confiscar millones de d贸lares de un oligarca ruso sancionado con activos en Canad谩, el gobierno en realidad no ha iniciado el proceso judicial para confiscar el dinero, y mucho menos para entregarlo a la reconstrucci贸n de Ucrania, y es posible que nunca suceda.
El gobierno federal anunci贸 el 19 de diciembre de 2022 que hab铆a ordenado la congelaci贸n de 26 millones de d贸lares estadounidenses que se encontraban en una cuenta bancaria canadiense en poder de un fondo de inversi贸n en el extranjero, diciendo que el dinero en 煤ltima instancia pertenec铆a a Roman Abramovich, un aliado de alto perfil del presidente ruso Vladimir Putin.
