Good morning, Everyone. I pray that you all have a reasonably good Thursday morning. Here at the Newsroom, it's the same old, dumb, dumb, grey clouds and chilly. I would be so delighted to see just one entire day of sunshine.
I was sitting at the kitchen table and turned on all of the lights I could turn on to brighten the insidious greyness and gloom seeping in from outside. It's like the cold that seeks to suck out any warm air there is, the lack of sun sucks all, and any brightness there is, like the event horizon, even light there, gets sucked into a black hole.
That's enough of that, but it certainly would help to lift the mood if we had some sun. So I will make this a time of PRAYER AND MEDITATION FOR PEACE and that we are all spared from apocalyptic NATURAL AND MANMADE DISASTERS in this year of 2025. Thank you.

I have read a good portion of the Quran, and I didn't see anywhere that said you had to crawl behind the man three paces. I believe that much of the scripture in most holy books is subject to wrong interpretation.
Some people turn the book upside down, and that's not just Muslims; they read it backward and change it to anything that benefits them, which is what I believe happens in most religions and how they interpret their holy books. Everyone should be free to practice their faith in their church, where it belongs. If there were one time I would agree with Trumpet's head, it's if he deported these people who do not conform to our way of living.

When Dmytro stepped out into the morning sun last October after paying to fill up his car at a gas station in Ukraine's southern Kherson region, the 46-year-old immediately heard the unmistakable buzz of a drone overheard.
And then he felt the force of a powerful explosion.
"It happened so fast," said Dmytro, who asked CBC News to not publish his last name for security reasons. "There were a lot of flames. I was bleeding right away."
He was thrown back into the store, hitting a fridge full of drinks. His eyes stung and pain radiated through his right shoulder.
