The Land of the Whispering Pines
Hi everyone, I don't think even the pine trees were whispering this morning. It's a very tranquil but chilly morning here. It's a whole 21°F and cloudy;

Good weather for penguins.The sun tried to peek through the clouds momentarily; then, I guess it thought it was too much trouble to fight the clouds and gave up the goat. Mrs McGoat, the old goat's last request on her way out the door was; now, where's my coat? And I shall remove myself from the... Yikes! I fell down the moat and had to get to the remote so I could give myself forty acres to turn this boat around. That ain't the half of it; the boat has a hole in it, and I don't have a bailin' bucket!
Other than that, I feel pretty good this morning. Upstairs was just practice, you know, like in clearing out the mental cobwebs. Other than that, there is not much a shakin' in the News Room. So, with that said, I will go on with the topic of the day; thank you.
DISCUSSION OF THE DAY:
Islamophobia:
I would sooner call it the fear of the unknown, primarily if the unknown is capable and known to act out in ways that can be life-threatening. All because, in all honesty, that's what the G-d they worship tells them to do, to kill infidels, even at the cost of their own lives.
They have no value for life, not even their own. Is there not a reason here to be nervous around them? There is also a cultural and religious clash.
*The Bible*, "You shall not kill" is found in Exodus 20:13:
*The Qabalah,* "Thou shalt not kill," which is actually a mistranslation of the Hebrew phrase "You shall not murder." The Hebrew words for killing and murder, harag and ratzah, have different moral connotations.
*The Torah,* also teaches that self-defense is a moral right and that force should only be used when there is an imminent threat of physical harm. It says, though, you shall not kill. Life is a gift that all should venerate and be grateful for; life is Sacred.
I have not read in any of those books above where it says, Kill In the Name of G-d
I will stick with what the books, and even the Dead Sea Scrolls from the ancient times, have taught me.
Killing anything indiscriminately for no other reason than, in my opinion, to eliminate the "garbage" from the face of the Earth type of attitude is the dark side, psychopathy, psychosis, or brain syphilis, genetic brain defect, etc.

Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc not seeking Liberal Party leadership
Liberal MPs gather for first time since Trudeau announced his resignation
Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc, whose name has been circulating as a potential Liberal leadership contender, says he will not be seeking the party's top job after all.
In a statement, the New Brunswick MP said he is touched by support he received but believes he can better serve the country by working to stop U.S. president-elect Donald Trump from imposing steep tariffs on Canadian goods.
"The threat these tariffs pose to our nation's economic well-being and to the livelihood of a countless number of Canadian families cannot be understated — and as such, it requires nothing less than my full attention," he said.
His decision comes as Liberal MPs gather in Ottawa with the daunting task of choosing a new leader — quickly.
