 TREE HOUSE NEWS

Land of The Whispering Pines

I certainly pray that you are all still well, safe, and blessed on this wonderful, normal, bright, sunny February morning. I know my house plants will love it, they were turning into pale faces. "Not pale faces in my Wrapaho Tree House, Please!" Chief One Feather, Paula says.

Well, so far, it has been an excellent morning, and I am thankful to be working behind my keyboard in the Newsroom. First, I need to check out Chief One Feather. Now, on with the discussion of the day.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

RELIGIOUS FENATICS

At least 18 dead in crush at New Delhi train station as crowds head for a religious festival, Indian media reports

Many of those in the crowds are thought to have been heading to the Maha Kumbh Mela, the world's largest religious gathering, in the Indian city of Prayagraj.

This is what I mean about the f'n stupidity in some if not most, religious fanatic dumb dumbs. As I said, I have read and studied many manuscript scripts and scrolls, both Egyptology and Sumerian, and enough Hebrew to read the Qubala and the Torah. I also spent considerable time in Mesoamerican cryptology, the other Incan systems like the pictographs on pottery and walls, and the strings and knots system. Then, we have the more advanced stylized works, the Maya script. As far back as the first etchings on cave walls, I have never read or deciphered anything that says, "Kill in the name of your god." Small -g- because that would have been a very small -god-.

It was the ritual offering of nourishment to the gods and goddesses. Blood was viewed as a potent source of nourishment for the Maya deities, and the sacrifice of a living creature was a powerful blood offering. By extension, the sacrifice of human life was the ultimate offering of blood to the gods.

  • Maya human sacrifice:
In Maya culture, killing another was usually in the form of sacrificing a great or esteemed enemy, a leader, chief, or hero enemy warrior, and then enslaving the rest of the people, which in time they simply assimilated into the tribe.

I READ MY BOOKS! This is the same as they did in North America: honored the dead enemy braves.
The tribe would expel a troublemaker or one who is disobedient to the law of nature or a blasphemer of nature to survive alone in the wilderness. The only difference is that the Mayans sent their arses back to their creator a little quicker. Usually, someone in an esteemed position gets the volcano bit.

The most important Maya rituals culminated in human sacrifice. Generally, consisted of only high-status prisoners of war were sacrificed, and lower-status captives were used for labor.

- Google Search -
  • Quabalah:
According to Kabbalah, killing another human is absolutely not considered right; in fact, it is viewed as a grave violation of ethical principles, emphasizing the sanctity of life and the importance of compassion towards all beings.
-Google Search -
  • Torah:
According to the Torah, killing another human is generally considered wrong, with the Sixth Commandment stating, "Thou shalt not kill" (Exodus 20:13); however, there are specific situations where the Torah permits taking a life, such as in self-defense or during a war sanctioned by religious authorities, with interpretations varying among Jewish scholars on the specifics of these situations.

  • Sanscrit:
  • Brahmahatya:
The most grievous form of killing in Hinduism is considered "Brahmahatya" - the killing of a Brahmin (a priest or scholar), which is seen as a grave sin.
  • Ahimsa:
The principle of non-violence (Ahimsa) is a central tenet of Hinduism, emphasizing the importance of avoiding harm to all living beings.

So, as I see it, if life is sacred and you want to celebrate your thanks to the G-d you believe in, if it's that busy, I would stay home to meditate and pray or watch the ceremony on TV. That would make more sense.
When I was a kid, we used to watch church TV on snowed-in Sundays, then go out and play in the snow.

Inflation rose to 1.9% in January, with low prices on GST-free goods offsetting high energy costs

First full month in which GST break was in effect, distorting prices
Canada's consumer price index rose to 1.9 per cent in January, as higher energy prices weighing on overall inflation were partly offset by the federal government's tax holiday, Statistics Canada said on Tuesday.
January marked the first full month that the GST holiday was in effect — temporarily lowering the price of products to which the tax is usually applied, including restaurant meals, alcohol bought in stores, plus toys, some games and hobby supplies.

EL DEBATE DE HOY:

Fan谩ticos religiosos

  • Tor谩:

  • S谩nscrito:
  • Brahmahatya:

1 comment:

  1. Comment, Paula Koval

Good afternoon and good evening, Everyone!
Thank you for visiting and reading The Tree House News.

Cindy's comments and research on how some of the major religions view killing in the name of their Supreme Being is enlightening, as none she discussed approve of it as a general proposition.

Her dissertation on the reasons for human sacrifice practiced by the Mesoamerican religions I know of cleared up any misconceptions about why and how it happened.

For those looking to connect human sacrifice with the tribes of North America, they need to look elsewhere, as banishment for serious offenses was the punishment, not execution.

The instant case of trampling in India is a common occurrence of zealous believers on an extremely crowded pilgrimage route to a holy place at a sacred time. I cannot conjure an explanation for its occurrence. I have no idea how anyone on a pilgrimage could trample a fellow pilgrim. Will pilgrims be docked for late attendance? If there are so few rooms in the holy place, why go at all? Going quickly and stepping on someone makes no sense to my non-Hindu way of thinking.

Similar accidents happen during the Hajj in Mecca. I don't associate trampling with religion in either case. It's crowd control. When densely packed crowds move in the same direction, all persons in the mass of people cannot move at the same speed. The crowd presses on one another. Someone falls behind, and they fall down, thus the trampling.

I do not know how to control a mass of people in any situation, much less a moving mass.

How does this work? Putin and Trump discuss terms of peace talks to end the war that Putin started with Ukraine. Zelenskyy has not been invited to participate in these discussions in Saudi Arabia. This is like your worst enemy who has broken through your fence, torn up your property, raped your wife and daughters, taken your sons captive, shot your parents and grandparents, and tortured your dog and cat discussing a settlement of ***what you owe them*** with their best friend whom you know is on your worst enemy's side! What kind of deal is this?

This is typical of Trump. Putin's lapdog, the developer of Gaza, pisses on 2,000,000 Gazans.

Canada's inflation rate is down, probably due to the GST tax holiday. Really? What is the core inflation, less taxes? Don't hurt your rotator cuff with those back pats!
