TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

Well, it's nice and warm, but no sun, either thick fog or clouds. 🌫 Perhaps that's just as well; otherwise, it would be a lot hotter. ♨️ The temperatures are unusual here. It can be a nice, cool mid-seventies until the clouds disappear, and within minutes, it's up to 98°F. Then, close the windows and turn on the AC time.

I would prefer fresh air 🏔 cooled rather than air conditioning, but my tolerance isn't what it used to be, so says the old Grey Mare. 🫏 Well, Whistle Butt 🐴 wouldn't think too highly of it either; she prefers an air-conditioned 🥶 barn. 🛖 Me, if the temperature drops below 72° F, then I turn into Chilly Willy 🐧🔥. Where's my fur coat, mitts, and mukluks, Ma? 🧥 🧤 🥾

Enough ot that, my toes are turning blue just thinking about it. There are still about 11 weeks of shirt-sleeve weather left. 😌

🙏 Prayers For The Day 🙏

For the prayer of the day, we may want to give some thought to those who will be homeless and without access to administrative assistance facilities and healthcare this fall in the wonderful country of America. In this land, hope, love, and empathy are dying—the land of Tent Cities. Let us take a moment for prayer and meditation.

I can't say what to do, except to do what you know is right in your heart to bring the country back to sanity. Just do whatever little or much of a part you can do to pet the fat cat backwards.

How do cults relate to psychology?

The combination of unresolved trauma, a fragmented sense of self, and the manipulation tactics employed by cult leaders creates a powerful psychological grip on cult members. Breaking free from this grip often requires intensive therapy and support to heal the underlying wounds and rebuild a healthy sense of self.

Psychological Witchcraft:

The idea of "psychological witchcraft" suggests exploring how psychological principles might explain or intersect with practices associated with witchcraft, particularly in the context of belief systems and rituals. This involves examining how concepts like the placebo effect, altered states of consciousness, and the power of suggestion can play a role in the perceived effectiveness of magical practices.

Trump flees Washington controversies for golf-heavy trip to Scotland

Fleeing Washington’s oppressive humidity and nonstop questions over heated controversies, President Donald Trump is once again taking weekend refuge at his golf clubs — this time more than 3,000 miles away in Scotland.

While the White House has called his five-day trip a “working visit,” it’s fairly light on the formal itinerary. Trump is poised to hold trade talks Sunday with the chief of the European Union and is scheduled to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday.

But he’s expected to spend most of his trip out of public view at two of his golf resorts – Trump Turnberry in the west and Trump International about 200 miles away in the north, near his mother’s ancestral homeland...

Gaza airdrops a “distraction and screensmoke,” UNRWA head says

Returning to the topic of airdrops into Gaza now, after CNN’s earlier reporting on the UK’s plan to move forward with deliveries and criticism of the practice from aid agencies.

UNRWA head Philippe Lazzarini has just described these aid airdrops as a “distraction & screensmoke” and pleaded with Israel to “open the gates” to trucks instead. “Airdrops will not reverse the deepening starvation. They are expensive, inefficient & can even kill starving civilians,” Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), posted on X.

“A manmade hunger can only be addressed by political will. Lift the siege, open the gates & guarantee safe movements,” he said. Lazzarini added that UNRWA has the equivalent of 6,000 trucks in Jordan and Egypt waiting for the green light to enter Gaza via land borders, which he says is a much easier and effective way to get aid supplies into the besieged territory.

“Airdrops will not prevent aid diversion, principled humanitarian assistance will. It reaches those in need,” Lazzarini said...

Fireworks, flashlights and snipers: Attacks on immigration facilities put law enforcement on edge

On the night of July 4, a group of assailants mounted a coordinated attack on an immigration detention facility near Fort Worth, Texas, using vandalism and fireworks to draw officers out and into the sights of two shooters positioned in a line of trees across the street, authorities allege.

Barely three days later, a Michigan man opened fire at a Border Patrol facility nearly 500 miles to the south in McAllen, near the US-Mexico border. The man was able to fire dozens of rounds at officers, one of whom was struck in the knee, before being quickly killed by returning gunfire.

The attacks don’t appear to be directly connected. But amid the continued backlash the agency faces in the wake of the Trump administration’s deportation efforts, they have put officials on edge, prompting them to increase the presence of security officers at the front of Department of Homeland Security facilities, federal officials told -CNN-.

Trump's NASA cuts will 'compromise human safety,' hundreds of employees say in letter

More than 360 current and former NASA workers sign letter, but half remain anonymous due to fear of reprisal

NASA scientists say pending cuts to the space agency could compromise mission safety and pave the way for another tragedy like the 1986 Challenger disaster. "When you're talking about cuts that appear unstrategic and unthoroughly researched and not motivated by actual improvements in mission safety, then you start to get people worried," Kyle Helson, a research scientist at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the University of Maryland, told As It Happens guest host Megan Williams.

Helson is one of 362 current and former NASA employees who have signed an open letter sounding the alarm about "recent policies that have or threaten to waste public resources, compromise human safety, weaken national security, and undermine the core NASA mission."...

TODAY'S DISCUSSION

DETERMINATION

Suppose we could only remember to lift our spirits on high before we even begin a journey. You cannot do it consistently because you will encounter numerous traffic jams on the way.

Fortunately, there are many great rest stops on that journey. They are there for you to rest, take inventory, replan, and make the necessary corrections on your life's path, then continue till the next rest stop.

Ambitious, inquisitive imagineers, dreamers, and positive thinkers are people who vigorously chase their dreams, like moths to a lamp. Compassion, passion, love, empathy, and ethics are all essential qualities that enable us to connect with the spiritual side of this temporal world.

Plenty of arguing in scientific research, more questions than answers, but all arguments closely follow a standardised mode, many of which were the work of Dr. Albert Einstein, the renowned theoretical physicist. This is a primary requirement for extracting specific scientific data from that bug compared to its ancestral lineage. 😆 "Quantum Mechanics is the Evolution of scientific data, the Quanta. Or Quanta = G-d

The Evolution of the soul would take us to where we are supposed to be. In this reality, you can only follow the Yellow Brick Road, one brick at a time, and to get there, just follow your 💖. But beware of getting lost in the bushes while watering the tulips and ending up in a field of prickly cactus. It's called choices, man! If it doesn't feel right in the solar plexus, stay away, period. Pick a different bush to go water the tulips.

I never had much in the way of patience, so I did most of my learning the hard way, by stubbornness, coming home nearly every day with a scrape here and a bruise there; that was life, brute force. Well, that IS THE HARD WAY. It got me through, but it took a toll on my stomach.

It took me many years until I reached my seventies, when I began to realise that the body parts move a lot slower than the mind does. Unless I intend to waste money on busted stuff and bones, I have to learn to compensate for that loss of coordination.

See! No Trump this time in my discussion, can't waste all of my time on a piece of garbage except happy birthday, you 💁‍♀️ 🚛 🪳 and your 🪳 🪳 🪳 🪳🔺 brigade. I can come up with some good adjectives for this loony bin character that would make his head spin. I wouldn't even have to use words; just emoticons, since he can only read pictures. I could talk circles around that baboon if I had the time to waste on Truth Social, but I don't bother. I wouldn't last five minutes there before I got my walking papers.

And I thank you, the reader, for reading the Tree House News, or I wouldn't be here. I only pray to share an island of rest, contemplation, and read the absurdities in the world, and maybe smile at some of my puns.

Here's what we know about Epstein's accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell

British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell was the ex-girlfriend-turned social companion of Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell was sentenced in 2022 to 20 years in federal prison for carrying out a years-long scheme with Epstein to groom and sexually abuse underage girls. She has attempted to appeal her conviction.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche met with Maxwell yesterday and said he’ll interview her again today. The meeting comes after a judge declined to release grand jury documents from the criminal probe into Epstein and amid growing backlash against President Donald Trump and his administration for not releasing more information on the Epstein case.

More on Maxwell’s relationship with Epstein:

Maxwell and Epstein are reported to have split in the 1990s, although the socialite remained close to the convicted sex offender, who was facing sex trafficking and other charges at the time of his death in jail in 2019.

  • Maxwell’s name was frequently mentioned in unsealed court documents on the Epstein case, which said she helped procure underage girls for him and other high-profile people.
  • Epstein described Maxwell as his best friend in a 2003 profile with Vanity Fair.
  • According to multiple people in affluent Manhattan circles, including two of her friends, Maxwell introduced Epstein to many of the social figures in his life.
  • Images published in 2000 in the Palm Beach Post show Maxwell, Trump, Epstein and Prince Andrew in attendance at a charity fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago.
  • Maxwell was arrested in 2020 in the northeastern US state of New Hampshire, having disappeared from view following Epstein’s arrest the previous summer.

TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

It's another beautiful day here in the Newsroom. I moved my station to the kitchen table, next to the sliding glass doors that overlook my green space (balcony). It's nice to see the sun and feel the cool air of a July morning. At least situated here among the trees of the park and the creek, all around the back section of the building, the air is reasonably fresh up here. It's like a real treehouse.

I am doing rather well at the moment. Even when I got up this morning, I was zipping around like a teenager doing stuff. But it was when I went to sit in my greenspace that I suddenly got a terrible headache, I mean, bending over pain, just suddenly. Took a Tylenol 500 mg and it went away. I wondered if it was a psychological thing. Just prior to the headache, I was preparing the coffee when I went to throw something in the garbage. I was examining the dent in the trash can lid, where a picture of Joe Biden had fallen off the wall the night before, actually, it was 3:00 am Wednesday.

It gave me the shivers thinking about that. Is this an omen? The sudden pain and Joe's picture. That night, the noise that the picture made was hitting the top of the garbage can. Imagine someone banging on a metal garbage can lid with a hammer. That's another story. We both thought some animal had broken in from the balcony, because that's where the sound seemed to have come from. Imagine me in my nightgown with my cane held at the ready to swing.

"RESISTANCE!"

I just met a Canadian Trumpeter. I was seething within at the ignorance and blindness, but there is no sense in arguing with a fascist dead tree stump, was my response. We will see in another six months or so when the seams begin to rip open on those jeans, then the 💩 will fall out for all to see. I ended the conversation right there, about the Orange snot bag.

Judge by the actions, not the words of a lying, slimy, venomous snake! If you don't believe me, what about USAID, Medicaid, and Medicare, Food Stamps (SNAP), school lunch programs, Meals on Wheels for the Elderly, and aid to education? Prescription medication? Where will all those fired federal employees live this winter? The results of these reactions should be enough to reveal the insanity of it all. Dunces, what's the end result thus far with a Dunce in Chief and his Dunce Brigade? In six more months, America will be another Ethiopia!

One way to fight back, if there are enough of you by now that are sick of that snot bag to the point of gagging themselves with a spoon, STOP PAYING TAXES. It's your money, and the Trumpet wouldn't have enough Dunce Brigade to collect the tax personally. And Revenue Agents are not welcome on my property 👩‍🌾. I am also certain that there are still some true Americans with their values, ethics, the Constitution, laws, and democratic principles still intact. The true American that still lives in their hearts, empathy, not apathy. Not the present sadistic, fascist creeps, the Orange snot bag & dunce brigade.

Let's have A Party ...

I mean I don't give a damned if you are Republican, Democrat, the Green Party, blue, black, purple, pink, yellow, red, plaid, tangereen, opaque, 🫥 , or invisible 👻 "Let's have a party!"...

Trump will join tour of Federal Reserve's renovation project, escalating pressure campaign on Fed chair

President Donald Trump will join a tour of the Federal Reserve building in Washington, DC, this afternoon, a sharp escalation in his pressure campaign on the body’s chairman Jerome Powell over the central bank’s renovation project and interest-rate policy.

The visit, set for 4 p.m. ET, had been previously scheduled as an opportunity for members of Trump’s staff to observe a renovation project of the Fed’s historic headquarters, which has gone well past budget and which the White House says may have violated planning requirements.

Trump said last week he believed the $2.5 billion renovation project could be a fireable offense. Later, however, Trump said he had no plans to fire Powell — which his advisers have warned could set off a worldwide economic calamity and would be immediately challenged in court. On Tuesday, Trump seemed to acknowledge the central banker would be in the role until his term ends next May.

He has nicknamed Powell “Too Late” and pointed to him as a reason the economy isn’t running at full throttle. Typically, presidents have avoided taking any steps that might appear to interfere in the central bank’s independence, particularly when it comes to the politically sensitive issue of interest rates.

Columbia agrees to pay over $220 million in deal with Trump administration to restore federal funding

Columbia University announced on Wednesday that it has reached a deal with the Trump administration following months of negotiation to restore federal funding to the school, in a move described by the administration as a “seismic shift” in its fight with elite higher education.

Under the terms of the deal to resolve several federal probes into allegations that it had violated anti-discrimination laws, Columbia did not admit to wrongdoing but agreed to pay the government a $200 million settlement over three years and an additional $21 million to settle US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission investigations.

In exchange, the university said in its statement, “a vast majority of the federal grants which were terminated or paused in March 2025 — will be reinstated and Columbia’s access to billions of dollars in current and future grants will be restored.” Columbia said the agreement also codifies policy changes it announced in March following the revocation of $400 million in federal funding over campus protests, including restrictions on demonstrations, new disciplinary procedures and immediately reviewing its Middle East curriculum.

TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

It's a fantastic summer morning, with the sun shining and birds singing, and I am here behind my laptop, feeling grateful to be alive. Physically, I am reasonably healthy, and my mental agility is functioning well. Hey there, June, turn on the tunes on the boom box, and I'll dance around the room with the broom until noon. 😉

I don't know if I'll make it to 90, but I certainly pray every day that I live long enough to see Trump's demise. 🍁🍁 CANADA DAY 🍁🍁 every day for a year to celebrate 🌟 💥 💫 ✨ that old cockroach who thought it was a frog 🐸 and croaked. Then I'll rest in peace. 😴 I believe this will be my last big mission in this lifetime. I wonder what other missions lie ahead after I leave. I will not refuse any mission, but G-d, please give me the necessary tools to do the job correctly and more effectively next time. Thank you.

It is so peaceful out there right now, all I hear is the birds, and the sun coming over the trees. I do pray to G-d that they shove that gutter vacuum machine up their arse today, please and thank you. Boy, poor G-d's ears must be ringing by now.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

PRAYER & FAITH 🙏

Everybody prays to the Creator, but do they take a moment of silence after prayer? It's not like snapping the fingers and getting an answer. You usually do not get the answer until sometime later in the day, take note and act on it.

Praying is fine, but action is also required. G-d doesn't go around with a magic wand to manifest every wish you make; he's not a magician, but he-she-it-entity-universe-infinity does speak to you, not with words but through your thought processes by way of the subconscious mind. This is the way it has worked for me. And don't forget, if there is doubt in your heart, then you may as well not waste your time praying.

It's been said there are no atheists in a foxhole. A soldier under fire is likely to pray, regardless of their belief in G-d. Believing in a power greater than us, I think, is a built-in instinct, as much as any other. You can see the light bulb glowing, but can you see all the mechanisms, the wires, the generators, and all their moving parts, and the source that keeps the generators going? Just to light a light bulb, and you carry the light bulb in your purse. 💡 👜

Have a Blessed Day

Exclusive: Newly discovered photos and video shed fresh light on Trump’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein

Newly uncovered archived video footage and photos reveal fresh details about Donald Trump’s past relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Photos from 1993 confirm for the first time that Epstein attended Trump’s 1993 wedding to Marla Maples. Epstein’s attendance at the ceremony at the Plaza Hotel was not widely known until now. In addition, footage from a 1999 Victoria’s Secret fashion event in New York shows Trump and Epstein laughing and chatting together ahead of the runway event.

Trump accuses Obama of treason, annotated

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Friday released a slew of documents that she said implicate members of the Obama administration for “treasonous” behavior during the 2016 election.

The claims confuse the allegation that Russia interfered in the 2016 election with the idea that Russia actively tried to change results by hacking into voting systems. CNN’s Jeremy Herb and Katie Bo Lillis went through them and talked to people who worked on a bipartisan Senate review of the 2016 election. “Wildly misleading” is how the information was described by one source in their report.

But that didn’t stop President Donald Trump from accusing former President Barack Obama of treason, a crime punishable by death in the US, when he was asked about it in the Oval Office on Tuesday...

A CANCEROUS PARASITIC CULT, now coming to infest CANADA. Beware, friends!

Ruling could help determine countries' obligations under climate law and consequences for harming climate

The United Nations' highest court on Wednesday underlined "the urgent and existential threat posed by climate change" as it started to read out an opinion on the legal obligations of states to take action.

The non-binding opinion by the International Court of Justice, also known as the World Court, is likely to determine the course of future climate action across the world. "Greenhouse gas emissions are unequivocally caused by human activities which are not territorially limited," judge Yuji Iwasawa said. The reading of the opinion was ongoing and the court had not yet announced its conclusions...

TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

For those who didn't receive my previous message, the power was out in our apartment due to electrical work being done, and we would be away from home. I said I would be here this afternoon, and here I am. ☺️

Well, finally back home. 🏠 It was nice to tour the countryside, checking out the various farmers' markets in the Niagara Escarpment area. It was fun to be out and about in the sun and fresh air, and we also stopped at a roadside mom-and-pop's and had French fries and a hot dog. It's been a while since I have enjoyed an outing in the country like this, and it's only about an hour's drive from our Tree House.

It's just that the weather hasn't been conducive to going out in comfort without being encumbered by a heavy coat, cane, and purse. So much less restrictive without the coat.

A young person sees the bear; they run. An elderly person sees a bear; they stand there, shake, and wet their pants. That's the main reason I got the cane, other than a slight problem with balance in open spaces, such as some degree of vertigo or feeling off-balance, like being off course or out of control, as if I were lost in space, and then suddenly, just before I hit the asteroid, "Splatter!". 🚀☄️Last thing I heard on the radio transmission was that there was a traffic jam at airlock 1, sir!"

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

AI Bots

I came across a source last night about how bots go around parroting someone saying one thing, then a minute later, the same bot impersonator saying the opposite, totally backwards, or scrambled. That's because the person the bot is parroting is contradicting themselves; bots can only perform what they are programmed to do, not make personal choices and judgments.

Confusing the bots:

Contradiction confuses the bots and what they were supposed to parrot. 😝😜🤪🤣😂😆I guess I'm doing a pretty good job of confusing the bots with my home-made adjectives, as many of you, "peeps not bots" are or should have noticed by now since I came to this Social Network. Take my pulse, I'm a people. 😜 Not stupid, not dumb, a genie, or a genius, not exactly a dunce either, maybe weird. Meet Squeeky from Valles Marineris, Mars. The third cave to the left at Dawson Creek. I may even be a little bit twisted at times, but I certainly ain't slowing down in the upstairs department store. Maybe the bots will have Alzheimer's or old timers trying to catch up to me. "Does Not Compute!" 🤖⚡️💨 After trying to decipher my home-spun adjectives.

Really, this is why I am very reluctant and hesitant to leave the chat to go to WhatsApp, which I didn't know anything about. I am careful about what I click on. I do not like wasting money on a technician to come over and unplug the internet toilet. I don't open anything that wants to sell me something. With that said, now is the Time for a quick review on what's happening nationally.

BREAKING NEWS:

They’re using the techniques honed by oil and gas to find near-limitless clean energy beneath our feet

Deep beneath Utah’s desert soil, an oil drill bored through the Earth at a blistering pace earlier this spring. Gnarly looking drill bits tore through granite at around 300 feet per hour.

It was done after just 16 days. The borehole, completed in April, stretches nearly 3 miles toward the center of the Earth, where temperatures reach around 500 degrees Fahrenheit and fossil fuels lurk between ancient sediments.

But this project is not searching for fossil fuel. It’s seeking next-generation clean energy. Fervo Energy, the Houston-based company leading the project, is one of several using the tools and advanced techniques of the oil and gas industry to drill many miles underground to reach the hot rock below. Their quest is to make clean, abundant geothermal energy available anywhere on the planet.

Next-gen geothermal has the potential to meet global electricity demand 140 times over, according to the International Energy Agency. It’s one of the only forms of clean energy that may be palatable for the fossil fuel-focused Trump administration. Yet the pathway to success is littered with challenges, from high costs and complex engineering problems to the risk of earthquakes as drills prod deep into the ground...

Trump administration takes all-of-government approach to target transgender community

From the first day of his second term, President Donald Trump has used a whole-of-government approach not only to limit the transgender community’s rights but even to deny their existence.

Trans people make up less than 0.6% of the United States population ages 13 and older, according to the Williams Institute, a public policy research center focused on sexual orientation and gender identity at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, and some experts are concerned that the Trump administration’s efforts are only the lead-up to widespread crackdowns on all Americans’ personal and medical choices.

Many of the new policies are tied up in the courts, and a full accounting of the administration’s actions is difficult to pin down.

  • But they have included:
  • Removing trans people from the military:
  • Sending the FBI and the Justice Department to investigate hospitals that offer particular medical services for trans children:
  • Eliminating any mention of trans people on federal websites; stopping data collection on health issues:
  • Removing trans people from hate crime surveys:
  • Suing states for allowing trans athletes to play on high school sports teams:
  • Dropping Fair Housing investigations:
  • Ending reimbursements by the Equal Employment Opportunity
  • Commission for state and local agencies that investigate gender identity claims:

Erasing transgender Americans

Limiting and criminalizing health care

U.S. doctors, nurses will be able to work in Ontario more easily through new fast-tracked process

Health minister says move will increase number of health-care professionals in province

Doctors and nurses licensed in the United States will soon be able to more easily practise in Ontario, under changes announced today by the minister of health. Sylvia Jones says the move will increase the number of health-care professionals working in the province.

The province is enabling qualified U.S.-licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and registered practical nurses to start working in Ontario health settings before they register with the regulatory college. They will be allowed to work for up to six months while seeking registration with either the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario or the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Doctors and nurses would still have to go through he usual immigration processes, and to qualify they must be licensed in their home jurisdiction with no history of misconduct or incompetence. The government previously expedited the process for physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and medical laboratory technologists registered in other jurisdictions in Canada to work in Ontario while going through the registration process.
