Great Spirit bless 🙏
Hi folks, I will be delivering only a short report for today. I had some difficulties with nausea from my GERD acting up, so I just lay back in the recliner for a couple of hours' rest. I feel better than I did, although I still feel like Sylvester the cat in the cartoons after being dragged backward tail-first through a knothole in a board fence. Leaves you kind of disheveled, doesn't it? ((🫨))
Well, anyway, I'm still here, in one piece, and the opportunity to share my opinions, thoughts, and comments on the daily happenings in this crazy world at the moment. The topics are all well-researched using Google Search, SNOPES, and other fact-checkers. If I am misled or make an error in any of my topics, I will admit my error and apologize promptly.
I analyze and report on the top breaking news stories and provide a recap of the day's headlines. Thank you for reading The Tree House News.
Now for the breaking News.

Trump announces U.S. talks with Iran, 5-day pause on strikes against Iranian energy infrastructure
Iran’s foreign ministry has reportedly denied that talks are underway and suggested Trump’s post was an effort to reduce energy prices.
VIDEO | Included:
As the Iran war enters its fourth week, President Donald Trump on Monday announced that the United States has engaged in diplomatic talks with Iran and is taking a five-day pause on strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure. “I am pleased to report that the United States of America, and the country of Iran, have had, over the last two days, very good and productive conversations regarding a complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East,” Trump wrote in an all-caps message posted to Truth Social.
He continued: “Based on the tenor and tone of these in depth, detailed, and constructive conversations, which will continue throughout the week, I have instructed the Department of War to postpone any and all military strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for a five day period, subject to the success of the ongoing meeting and discussions.” In a subsequent Truth Social post on Monday, Trump said the U.S. was getting “very close to meeting our objectives” and suggested American involvement in the Iran war could be “winding down.”

ICE officers deployed to some airports as TSA callouts worsen
Where Things Stand:
• ICE deploys to airports: Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are heading to 13 airports today to help with crowd management as the Transportation Security Administration faces growing callouts from officers during the ongoing Department of Homeland Security shutdown.
• Growing travel woes: Travelers have been dealing with worsening airport wait times as TSA workers have gone without pay since funding for DHS lapsed in mid-February. Track wait times at major airports here.
• No end to shutdown in sight: There are few signs lawmakers will reach an agreement to fund DHS, which includes TSA, ahead of a scheduled holiday break. President Donald Trump injected a new demand Sunday, saying he doesn’t want to make a deal unless Democrats support an elections overhaul bill.
