"Where, where?" shouts the squirrel as it runs about, looking for the case full of nuts. You will find a lot of them in court cases, so says Judge A. J. Parsley.

Hand me that, mike, will ya! It reminds me of Saturday night at karaoke when I was asked to come on stage; I got behind the mike and told stories in different bars around the Central Ontario area where I lived.
As I was moving about, traveling with my truck and camper, I did my little stints wherever I could, as I did when I was on the road and during my stay in the Morristown, Tenessee area. At karaoke in bars or barn dances, It bought me gas for the truck.😊 and yeah, I raided a few gardens as well and picked aluminum cans and other aluminum junk alongside the Interstate to sell at the aluminum recycling plant in Morristown. Got a story behind that one, too.
Now for the Discussion of the day.

Or PICKING ALUMINUM CANS alongside the Interstate.
I have dealt with both. I prefer picking aluminum cans than facing a possible doomsday standing in front of a judge. How about sweating bullets and white-knuckling the steering wheel when a cop car tailgates you for miles before they decide to part company or come within an inch or less of a fatal end?
That all falls under the category of fear. Real or made up, fear is fear and affects you the same as anyone with PTSD. I don't have PTSD, but I do have Hyperekplexia, not to be mistaken for PTSD.
(PTSD) Post-traumatic stress disorder is a mental health condition that's caused by an extremely stressful or terrifying event — either being part of it or witnessing it. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares, severe anxiety, and uncontrollable thoughts about the event.
*Hyperekplexia* is a rare, inherited neurological disorder that causes an exaggerated startle response and muscle stiffness. It's also known as startle disease.
Mine is more of the startle disease triggered mainly by a sudden noise, and it doesn't have to be loud; it's just unexpected. A sudden, unexpected movement will also send me jumping for the light bulb on the ceiling, like standing on a chair to escape the wild man-eating mouse. I am also sensitive to the environment around me, feeling the moods and feelings of others, especially those who struggle with personality disorders, depression, and those with high and low anxiety levels.
It can get wearisome to be among a lot of people for too long. On the plus side, it works wonderfully with like-minded people. I suppose that is why the ten steps of recovery work, as well as association and strength in fellowship, are like minds in spirit.
Now I know the difference between PTSD and HYPEREKPLEXIA.<- First, I hear of that word to describe my disorder, or is it more like order being disordered sometimes by Hyperekplexia? A type-O can completely wipe out all that was in my head that I was about to type out. Or how about flipping the page you're on by error, and that also wipes out my memory instantly? It's as slick as cleaning off a pool table. I have always been sensitive to quick movements no matter how tine the point of observation is. One brick is missing in a row of similar brick buildings, and I'll pick it out.

Federal judge blocks Elon Musk's DOGE access to critical Treasury payment system
federal judge, citing a risk of "irreparable harm," has temporarily restricted Elon Musk's government efficiency team from accessing a critical Treasury Department payment system.
The judge's order, issued Saturday, temporarily halts access to a sensitive payment system that distributes Americans' tax returns, Social Security benefits, disability payments and federal employees' salaries.
US District Judge Paul Engelmayer ordered the destruction of any downloaded information from the payment system by anyone given access to it since January 20, citing "the risk that the new policy presents of the disclosure of sensitive and confidential information and the heightened risk that the systems in question will be more vulnerable than before to hacking."

Canada's premiers and federal officials are pitching cutting interprovincial trade barriers to guard against a looming trade war with the United States, arguing it could boost the Canadian economy by billions of dollars.
The idea gained steam on Wednesday after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau hosted a virtual meeting with the premiers. Trudeau said in a statement there was agreement that "more work is to be done to facilitate internal trade."

Todo eso entra en la categoría del miedo. Real o inventado, el miedo es miedo y te afecta de la misma manera que a cualquier persona con TEPT. Yo no tengo TEPT, pero sí hiperekplexia, que no debe confundirse con TEPT.
(TEPT) El trastorno de estrés postraumático es una afección de salud mental causada por un evento extremadamente estresante o aterrador, ya sea por ser parte de él o por presenciarlo. Los síntomas pueden incluir flashbacks, pesadillas, ansiedad severa y pensamientos incontrolables sobre el evento.
La hiperplexia es un trastorno neurológico hereditario poco común que provoca una respuesta exagerada de sobresalto y rigidez muscular. También se la conoce como enfermedad del sobresalto.
La mía es más bien una enfermedad del sobresalto que se desencadena principalmente por un ruido repentino, y no tiene por qué ser fuerte; es simplemente inesperado. Un movimiento repentino e inesperado también me hace saltar hacia la bombilla del techo, como si me subiera a una silla para escapar del ratón salvaje devorador de hombres. También soy sensible al entorno que me rodea, percibo los estados de ánimo y los sentimientos de los demás, especialmente de aquellos que luchan con trastornos de personalidad, depresión y aquellos con niveles altos y bajos de ansiedad.
Puede resultar agotador estar entre muchas personas durante demasiado tiempo. El lado positivo es que funciona de maravilla con personas con ideas afines. Supongo que es por eso que los diez pasos del trabajo de recuperación, así como la asociación y la fuerza en la camaradería, son mentes similares en espíritu.
Ahora sé la diferencia entre el trastorno de estrés postraumático y la hiperekplexia. En primer lugar, escucho esa palabra para describir mi trastorno, o ¿es más como si el orden se desordenara a veces debido a la hiperekplexia? Un tipo O puede borrar por completo todo lo que tenía en la cabeza cuando estaba a punto de escribir. ¿O qué tal si pasas la página en la que estás por error y eso también borra mi memoria al instante? Es tan hábil como limpiar una mesa de billar. Siempre he sido sensible a los movimientos rápidos sin importar cuán preciso sea el punto de observación. Si falta un ladrillo en una fila de edificios de ladrillos similares, lo identificaré.
