Seasonal Affective Disorder

Good Afternoon:

After almost six months of chilly, cool, damp grey clouds, I am beginning to feel like the snail stuck inside its shell. My inner self is turning into ever darkerening shades of grey. Feeling listless, low energy, and no enthusiasm or drive to move much. I begin to feel cold, then I want to curl up in a ball under a pile of blankets, just to feel the security of this warm nest.

I know it can be psychological, like Seasonal Affective Disorder, serotonin imbalance, or a chemical imbalance, or any number of depressive disorders, like Bipolar disorder, or Mania, and so on.

Mine was the foremost. Greyness has always made me feel lonely, bored, and depressed, sometimes to the point of crying. I become more emotional and more sensitive to outside stimuli during periods of extended grey weather. And I pick up on other people's moods and feelings much more keenly.

But lately, I don't believe it's just the weather, although after six months of this greyness, I think it would wear even on the nerves of even the most optimistic person. But then I'm the type that, as soon as I get my corn stepped on, I open my mouth and, *pop goes the weasel*, I express what I feel before taking time to analyze or weigh out what I'm going to say.

It's also all the upheaval everywhere, the Bizarro stuff across the river, two wars, and people acting as though they are the Gestapo, people suffering, The Orange Menace and his mob. All this negative stuff is in the airways. Like our dear president sentencing his people to death, come winter, with no income to take care of themselves. That's as bad as what Stalin did, just in a different fashion. Stalin used bullets. The Orange Puke Head is doing it by taking away their means of survival. SAME SHIT! Genocide is genocide.

Buenas Tardes

Después de casi seis meses de nubes grises, frías, húmedas y frías, empiezo a sentirme como un caracol atrapado en su caparazón. Mi interior se va oscureciendo cada vez más. Me siento apática, con poca energía y sin entusiasmo ni ganas de moverme mucho. Empiezo a sentir frío y luego quiero acurrucarme bajo un montón de mantas, solo para sentir la seguridad de este cálido nido.

Sé que puede ser psicológico, como el Trastorno Afectivo Estacional, un desequilibrio de serotonina o químico, o cualquier trastorno depresivo, como el trastorno bipolar o la manía, etc.

El mío fue el más importante. El gris siempre me ha hecho sentir sola, aburrida y deprimida, a veces hasta el punto de llorar. Me vuelvo más emocional y sensible a los estímulos externos durante los períodos de tiempo gris prolongado. Y capto los estados de ánimo y sentimientos de los demás con mucha más intensidad.

Pero últimamente, no creo que sea solo el clima, aunque después de seis meses de esta grisura, creo que cansaría hasta al más optimista. Pero claro, soy de los que, en cuanto me pisan el callo, abro la boca y, *pop hace la comadreja*, expreso lo que siento antes de tomarme un tiempo para analizar o sopesar lo que voy a decir.

También está toda la agitación por todas partes, las cosas bizarra al otro lado del río, dos guerras, y la gente actuando como si fueran la Gestapo, gente sufriendo, La Amenaza Naranja y su turba. Toda esta negatividad está en el aire. Como nuestro querido presidente condenando a muerte a su pueblo, cuando llega el invierno, sin ingresos para mantenerse. Eso es tan malo como lo hizo Stalin, solo que de forma diferente. Stalin usó balas. El Cabeza Vomita Naranja lo está haciendo quitándoles sus medios de vida. ¡LA MISMA MIERDA! Genocidio es genocidio. Soy una hada del sol, no un hada de la nieve. ¿Piernas y pies desnudos en la nieve? ¡Es broma!

Well, again grey sky, but much milder, like an early summer morning. I wish it were here to stay, but we have another session with the sagging scrotum jetstream going through again, bringing the temps below normal. It doesn't appear that we are having a very good prelude to the coming summer season this year. At the end of April, it will be 6 months of mostly grey clouds and a chilly wind. Since November 28th, 2024, it's been the sagging scrotum deal. Canadians will soon start ta lookin' like they's a sportin' chicken's wattles over their noses.

It's about time we Canadians awakened our sense of humor, let's resurrect Stompin' Tom and finish the job he started "Jump in son, throw in your bag, an' the one you're carryin'"

And maybe Margo had the cargo, but this minibus mama trucker has been everywhere from BC to Mooonnee westward all the way to Arizona, then back across to BC, Washington, and eastward to Texas, Florida, Tenessee, Georgia, Washington, DC, back to Canada Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec, Newfoundland.

Everywhere I went, the people's personalities were unique, different from one another, not just from state to state or province to province, but from one community to another. Then I returned to Ontario, where I had frequented both the north and the south, and I settled on the southern peninsula of Ontario to make my home. We were thinking of relocating to Arizona until the Orange Puke Bag showed up.

Here in the Niagara Peninsula, the environment is less harsh than it is anywhere north of Toronto or even south of us; Buffalo and New York get it worse. Something to do with altitude, there is a sudden drop of about 500 ft or more in altitude from the top of the peninsula on the west side to where we are here on the east side of the Niagara Peninsula. Air currents tend to rise over us, usually keeping the temperatures above freezing. If Lake Ontario is not frozen, the air tends to stay the same temperature as the water.

Pretty neat dynamics; we have our own climate, except for this La Niña that doesn't appear to want to give it up. Orange Pus Bag's got my goat, so I can't even get enough goat, long enough to put cream in my coffee. Now I have to use the synthetic 98% plastic powder creamer and synthetic sugar.

And then we wonder why we have so many people with gut problems and other unexplained chronic ailments. I'm not a medical doctor, but my guess, and it has always been my suspicion, is that the additives and chemicals that shouldn't be in the food are the most likely suspect.

Why do we need chemicals like food coloring, flavor enhancers, texture additives, and additives for product moisture? Why? Preservatives are not necessary; that is why we have refrigeration. When they get caught with their hand in the jar, they just move their sick pills to another product. Why? To fraudulently obtain federal funds for research that doesn't exist. There are your corporate thieves, like parasites feeding off the We, the people's pocketbooks and poisoning them at the same time.

If this whole thing about letting all the sick and elderly die, maybe a part of The Orange Pr--ks egoistic, Neanderthal kuckle dragging schizophrenic psychopath maniac's idea among a few other leaders with a similar brain worm problem, thinking his ideals for a fascist movement of purging the world of the weak is a remarkable but not that old of a solution: Back in the Nazis days during world war-2 the answer was Concentration camps, worked camps and gas chambers: Today it would be called; Population Control, Inc. That's what it boils down to if someone doesn't grow a F'n backbone and stand up to those sleezballs.

No parece que este año estemos teniendo un buen preludio para el próximo verano. A finales de abril, tendremos 6 meses de nubes mayormente grises y viento frío. Desde el 28 de noviembre de 2024, nos ha tocado el tema del escroto flácido. Los canadienses pronto empezarán a parecer gallinas con barba.

Ya era hora de que los canadienses despertáramos nuestro sentido del humor. Revivamos a Stompin' Tom y terminemos el trabajo que empezó. "Súbete, hijo, mete tu mochila y la que llevas".

Well, at least the morning is starting sunny,🌦, but they are calling for rain in the afternoon. The temps are where they are supposed to be, 67°F. It will get a little cooler next week, with temperatures ranging from 50°F to 60°F, which is a bit more in line with normal temperatures for this time of year, typically in the 60°F to 70°F range. I'm glad to get out of that 30°F to 40°F stuff.

I was up at my usual time, 5:40 am, and did my morning routine. Then, I went out into my green space and sat under my fake coconut tree to enjoy some of the early morning sunshine. With the birds singing, it would be easy to close my eyes and envision myself on some tropical island of Jamaica or somewhere, just me, the birds, me, the jungle, and listening to the band on the beach singing IT'S A BRIGHT SUNSHINY DAY!

At about 7:30 am, I sat down on the recliner couch, like it had become a habit with me, to spend half an hour scrolling through the groups to check out what's cookin' for the day. Anyway, it gives me the opportunity and satisfaction to stick my tongue out at the clock and say, I'm retired. While scrolling, I came across a group of people in a discussion about being detained at the border; most of them call themselves Brown Canadians.

Well, I'm not brown; I'm French Canadian, but I have been a friend of the Ojibwe people, brothers and sisters, since I was a toddler. I told them I had never had a problem crossing the border, even with my brothers and sisters; they just use their status card, and I still have my Ontario Metis card.

To make a long story short, I told them I wouldn't be going across the border for a very long time, or at least not until they get rid of the King Orange Pus Bag. Good thing he's orange; I wouldn't want even to hint that he's a member of the same species as the White Man.

Discrimination & Prejudice

In my opinion, I am reasonably sure that everyone has experienced discrimination or prejudice; they are the left and right arms of the same culprit. It's just that too many people today have become desensitized to the reality of discrimination and prejudice, which never goes beyond judging by surface examination of the specimen only.

Even if I used a microscope, I would only see the anatomical structure and its command center, the brain, as well as the neural network, but I cannot see into the internal consciousness, the heart.

You will find that in the anatomical and physical realms, there are many discrepancies between the anatomical structure and the internal consciousness, The Heart. No one can know or understand this unless they have that part of them inside of them. It's called EMPATHY. Without empathy, there is no hope, only darkness and suffering.

On the positive side, to discriminate can also mean to criticize and investigate before making or passing a judgment.

Prejudice:

Prejudice is a negative attitude or opinion held against someone or a group based on their identity, while discrimination is the act of treating someone unfairly based on that prejudice. Prejudice is a thought or belief, while discrimination is a behavior or action.

Discrimination:

Discrimination is the unfair or prejudicial treatment of someone or a group based on characteristics like race, age, gender, or disability. It can be intentional or unintentional, and it can take the form of direct (outward) or indirect (subtle) discrimination.

To Discriminate?:

Synonym to discriminate: discern, know apart.

Discern, distinguish, make out, pick out, recognise, spot, tell apart. Perceive, or detect with the senses. Verb. Recognize or perceive the difference.

US will abandon Ukraine peace efforts ‘within days’ if no progress made, Rubio warns

The United States could end its efforts on ending the Ukrainian conflict within “days” if there are no signs of progress, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned Friday.

“If it is not possible to end the war in Ukraine, we need to move on,” he told reporters before departing Paris, where he had held high-level talks with European and Ukrainian officials. “We need to determine very quickly now, and I’m talking about a matter of days, whether or not this is doable,” he said.

Rubio’s comments point to mounting frustration within the Trump administration at the lack of progress at bringing the three-year full-scale war to a halt.

Harvard University’s finances have become the latest target of the Trump administration – and experts say the hits could hurt.

In the past week, the administration has threatened Harvard University’s funding from multiple angles: freezing billions in federal funds, and potentially revoking its non-profit tax status and its ability to enroll foreign students.

More than $2.2 billion in federal grants and contracts have been frozen and even more could be siphoned away if the other pressures materialize. Harvard Medical School is preparing for possible layoffs and the School of Public Health, which received three stop-work orders on research this week, is winding down two leases in off-campus buildings.

With just 10 days to go until election day, advance polls open Friday across the country for those who want to vote before April 28.

Registered voters can cast an early ballot at their assigned polling station between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. from April 18-21.

Your voter information card, which registered voters should have received in the mail by April 11, will tell you where your assigned polling station is for advance voting. (Your election day station could be at a different address.)

En mi opinión, estoy bastante seguro de que todos hemos experimentado discriminación o prejuicio; son el brazo izquierdo y el brazo derecho del mismo culpable. Simplemente, muchas personas hoy en día se han insensibilizado a la realidad de la discriminación y el prejuicio, que nunca va más allá de juzgar solo por el examen superficial de la muestra.
