The good news is that I'm alive and well physically, mentally, and spiritually. Physically, I am relatively discomfort-free this morning. π π π I got up a little later than usual, and the sun would have been up before me if it weren't for the usual grey clouds hiding it.
The good news is that the daylight comes one hour earlier now and ends one hour later in the evening.π Now we just need the βοΈ with a SUNset and SUNrise that would be more like an hour and a half earlier in the morning and an hour and a half longer in the evening; that is why I usually look forward to the February sun, which appears as though the Orange Puke Bag put tariffs on the sun too. π€ π

I just received an Accuweather report warning people to brace themselves for atmospheric rivers forming on the West Coast. This raises concerns about flooding and mudslides in Southern California.
First, it was an extended El Nino. Now, in the last couple of years, we have La Nina. There has been an increase in torrential rains, in more than normal amounts, in places that usually get little, nominal, or average rainfall. In the last couple of years, there's been an increase in rain in those places while the wetlands, tropical and semi-tropical, are drying up. The atmospheric convection currents have been changed enough that now we are getting hurricanes forming in the Pacific Ocean, moving from East to West. Hurricanes and tornadoes in the middle of the winter?
An imbalance in the Earth's large-scale atmospheric air movements that circulate heat and moisture around the planet's cooling and warming cycle, like an air conditioner, has disturbed the control and has gone defunct, Ma'am! The Fairy Lady Chief One Feather of engine room #3 stands at attention and salutes, reporting to Starship Captain Jane Hathaway. Katie of the Hootowl Tribe, Tayana Grey Cloud," Chief Engineer of combustion units for engine room #2, has goofed again, Ma'am! On a scale of 1 to 100, I will guess that at least 75% of the Earth's population between the ages of 25 and 65 can remember what the weather was like when they were younger; even a couple of decades ago, it was quite noticeable and rapidly changing.
If you are honest with yourself, you will know, beyond any doubt, that the weather patterns have not been normal, or what normal was considered to be just back three decades ago.

Conservative firebrand Steve Bannon pleaded guilty to defrauding donors in a fundraising effort to build a wall along the southern US border in a deal that allowed him to avoid prison.
Bannon pleaded guilty to one state felony count of a scheme to defraud in the first degree and was sentenced to a three-year conditional discharge. He will not serve any time in prison, nor will he be required to pay any restitution under the deal.
Prosecutor Jeffrey Levinson said there is no restitution because Bannonβs co-defendants in a related federal case already returned millions of dollars to victims.

CANADIAN NEWS:
Trump slaps 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum imports 'without exceptions'
President said 'I don't mind,' when asked about countries retaliating
U.S. President Donald Trump followed through on recent threats Monday evening and signed orders imposing 25 per cent tariffs on all steel and aluminum imports β including from Canada.
The tariffs are scheduled to take effect March 12. This guarantees a frantic few weeks as Canada and other countries scramble to be exempted from a series of trade penalties threatened by Trump β including the economy-wide tariffs he has paused but is still threatening to reimpose across North America.
After the orders were signed, Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne said the government will be examining the details and consulting with international partners.
