Land of Whispering Pines 🌲
Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏
There is a mixture of clouds, sun, smoke, and the holy ghost, who lives on the coast, is hiding behind the post with the host of the Bob Hope Show. Take your pick!
As for the weather, I hope that all those carbon particles in the air are put to good use and form raindrops in those clouds. It got much cooler through the night, so I had to turn all the fans off. They are only just circulating the smoke around the room anyway, in and out again, or vice versa. "Gotta smoke that cigarette!" cough, cough... 🚬 I used to smoke like a chimney too, up until about ten years ago. I'll be honest, I do like weed now and again. 🦯
TODAY'S DISCUSSION:
MIND TRAVEL:
Do you like traveling? I traveled most of the U.S. and Canada in my younger years. Yes, I loved traveling, but today it feels too much like a death wish to go anywhere except to the grocery store and for doctors' appointments. I don't really care to go anywhere that makes me feel like I've got eyeballs studying me like a specimen in a petri dish.
Now, whenever I want to travel, all I need is a little time to relax - you know, take a nap. Often, before I drift into oblivion, the dream/vision that comes before can be so vivid that the memory feels like I was there. The familiarities, the aromas, you see and can even touch what's around you, and you are actually there for a few seconds. I savor deeply those few seconds. Those memories are what give me hope and keep me going.
*Personal Experience:
.1 There have been many storms in my past, and to be sure, there will be more storms in my future, but there will always be a little sunshine now and then.

Karma does work, but it can be a two-edged sword. I only travel back to the good parts of my past. The bad ones remain obscure in the darkness of my subconscious mind and stay there unless called upon for a reason. I might dig one out for an example, like what not to do, to help guide someone else away from falling over a similar precipice.
.2 On occasion, when I do a little weed, I may get profound visions in my mind's eye. Some are as deep as the depths of the scientific concept of quantum mechanics, and as spiritual as can be conceived in my finite human mind. That is the best condensed description of what I see.
NOTE: I don't mean you need to smoke a whole bag of weed to achieve the effect; four puffs will do. 🦯💨🥴 Visions come during the floaty time.
Let us pause for a moment and send prayer and meditation to our brothers and sisters south of the border.

BREAKING NEWS:
Top Trump officials will discuss Epstein strategy at Wednesday dinner hosted by Vance
Top Trump administration officials will gather at the vice president’s residence Wednesday evening as they continue to weigh whether to publish an audio recording and transcript of Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche’s recent conversation with Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.
The administration’s handling of the Epstein case, as well as the need to craft a unified response, is expected to be a main focus of the dinner, three sources familiar with the meeting told CNN. The meeting will include White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, Vice President JD Vance, Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel and Blanche. With the exception of Vance, the White House considers those officials the leaders of the administration’s ongoing strategy regarding the Epstein files, two of the sources said.

Putin-Witkoff meeting was ‘constructive,’ Kremlin says ahead of Trump’s sanctions deadline
The Kremlin said US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a “constructive and useful” meeting on Wednesday, according to Russian state media TASS, as the Trump administration’s sanctions deadline looms over Russia.
The meeting, which state media said lasted around three hours, took place after a frustrated US President Donald Trump last month threatened Russia with sanctions if it does not soon agree to a Ukraine peace deal.

‘God, please fix me’: Inside the dangerous resurgence of ‘ex-gay’ conversion therapy
*He remembers walking towards the worst experience of his life. The dorm hall was a concrete tunnel, with chipped white paint on the walls and a stench of sweat trapped inside. The stairs, he recalls, squeaked underfoot. They led to a wooden door, which Andrew Pledger prized open.
He stepped inside, sunk into a peeling black couch and locked eyes with the man sitting across the desk.
And then something happened.
“Everything around me just faded away,” Pledger says. He floated out of his body. “I almost couldn’t hear him anymore … time just completely slowed down.” The next thing he remembers is leaving the office, a pounding pain in his chest. An hour had passed. Whatever happened in that room had shaken Pledger, then a tormented, depressed student at a private evangelical university in South Carolina. A voice filled his head, telling him: “You cannot do this. This is unhealthy. This is not good.”
Pledger had just experienced conversion therapy – the discredited, pseudoscientific practice that purports to help a gay person change or resist their sexuality. The practice doesn’t work: Virtually every major medical association denounces it as junk science. A flood of studies has warned of its dangers; young people who experience conversion therapy are more likely to suffer depression and attempt suicide, researchers have found...

The Canadian drone industry is spinning up — with lessons from Ukraine
Canada has started to get serious about developing its drone warfare capabilities
It's been 24 years since what is widely considered the first lethal drone strike: a Predator UAV attack on an al-Qaeda vehicle convoy in Afghanistan just nine weeks after the Sept. 11 attacks. The strike killed Mohammed Atef, son-in-law of Osama bin Laden and head of the group's military operations, and made clear to all that 21st century warfare was going to see a large role for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Large, expensive fixed-wing drones such as the Predator and Reaper still have their place. Canada has ordered a fleet of similar drones expected to be up and running in 2033...
Bill Blair, at the time the minister of defence, announced last year that
Canada would be providing more drones to Ukraine. Canadian firms are now developing their own products

Have you ever become so confused, stumbling over a mistype, messing up what you were typing, then trying to reestablish the messed-up posting back to its original intended message? It looks easy, but you keep making error upon error, and what appeared to be simple now feels like being dragged through a tight, corkscrew-shaped tube backwards. But the process gets more opaque.
ReplyDeleteWhat started as keystrokes now becomes like laboring with a rope to keep a train from derailing into a swamp full of alligators. When the rope breaks, you fall into the swamp on the other side, and then you're lost. The simple and easy has become such a mess that the only solution for this five-sided Rubik's cube is to start from scratch again and take a Tylenol for the headache. I got one of those.
I care about the quality of my work and the time it takes to complete it. I don't like unnecessary time consumption. Now it's break time.
