TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡
Land of Whispering Pines 🌲
Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏
I am late getting started this morning, not ill or anything like that; body functions were normal, except for that terrible need to be horizontal. I had begun to make the morning coffee, then just could not concentrate on what I was doing, so I went back to lie down and have a couple more hours' rest. It seems to all boil down to the GERDS. I researched some more on the topic and discovered that both GERD and when I had the appendix misery are a combination, which can bring on all kinds of wonderful torture-chamber-level type pain; literally, I was writhing with pain. One source of pain is gone, the appendix, but the GERD still lingers.
TODAY'S DISCUSSION:
My discussion for this part of the news is about my personal health and how grateful I am to have received the medical care I did; they were all Angels, thank you all - Nurses, Staff, and Doctors at St. Catharine's Hospital. YOU ARE EARTH ANGELS.
I would like to EMPHASIZE HERE THE IMPORTANCE OF YOUR PERSONAL HEALTH CARE AND MAINTENANCE.
So it has been for me. I have been doing much better, at least the discomfort from the Gerd is not as excruciating, but now it's my teeth, and THEY WILL BE GONE, even if I have to use my Colt 45 to remove them. I am seeing the dentist at the end of October. I am in tears at the anticipation of leaving all this torture chamber 👺🚺 stuff behind me. I have a low to no tolerance for pain, especially with no meat on my bones for protection against them, just a bump feels like I got hit by a bus. Lesson number one:
DON'T MESS AROUND WITH MISERABLE TOOTH ACHES OR GERD, and attend to ANY OTHER MISERY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Don't wait unnecessarily; if it persists in making return visits, it won't go away by itself.
I'm only as wise as the amount of bruising I have incurred just walking through this maze that doesn't make sense until after you already experience it. The question is, did you learn something from it? The objective should be to learn how to see around corners from previous experience and knowledge before engaging in any action with the beast that is not yet in sight. Nothing is as simple to deal with as it may seem at first glance. See it in the long view through a wide lens.
And if you are sensitive to others' feelings, you are empathetic. In that case, you can feel both the negative and the positive polarity on the human emotions and intentions, the inner emotion detecting machine, an IEDM, Bugs, "Eeeeep, what's up doc?" Hey Doc! Better get the IEDM machine out!
EMPATHY A SIGN OF WEAKNESS, EH! YOU CANNOT DESTROY EMPATHY. You cannot destroy energy.

Science says:
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but only transformed from one form to another, a fundamental principle known as the law of conservation of energy or the first law of thermodynamics. When energy appears to be lost, it is actually converted into a different, often less useful, form, such as heat, rather than disappearing entirely.
Amazing eh! What other forms?
I wonder just how many of you are even awake or aware that you are no longer in Cansas, Man! If you are not aware that America no longer exists. It's putting itself in exile. The beast will not relent; it will bring down every other one of its victims with it. YOU SHOULD BE AWARE that even if you're Canadian, you could wake up in the morning to a totalitarian regime knocking at your door. Your loss, I'm 80 years old, what have I got to lose? VIVE LAS RESISTANCE ✊
BREAKING NEWS:
The trope of ‘liberal media’ is finally dead
New York
—
Growing up in Missouri, the home state of Rush Limbaugh, I often heard the word “media” spoken with a fair bit of derision, sandwiched by the words “liberal” and “bias.” It was an accusation that crystallized as a capital-T Truth for much of the country as Fox News emerged in the late 90s, wielding it as a cudgel to reinforce the network’s conservative credentials. The perception of “liberal” media was always exaggerated, and often unfair, rooted partly in the fact that most mass media giants were headquartered in Democratic strongholds like DC and New York (where, of course, Fox is also based.)
But President Donald Trump’s MAGA coalition are done crying about perceived bias. Even “fake news” has lost its bite. In his second term, Trump is taking his complaints straight to the source, siccing lawyers and regulators on outlets he sees as a threat (the New York Times, NPR), or allowing his billionaire supporters to wrest control of those he thinks he can jostle into compliance...

Charlie Kirk DM’d me before he was murdered. Here’s what he said
The day before he was horrifically murdered, Charlie Kirk sent me a direct message on X.
He and I had been sparring publicly over the killing of a Ukrainian refugee and its relationship to race. He said the gruesome killing of a White woman by a Black man was motivated solely by anti-White hatred. I denounced those comments on CNN as unfounded. He went on TV and denounced MY denunciation. Then he unleashed a firehose of tweets, challenging my argument.
Kirk’s pushback sparked an online torrent of racist death threats against me, the likes of which I have rarely seen...

Researchers turn to AI for help fighting superbugs
MIT study uses AI model to identify new candidates against gonorrhea, MRSA
This story is part of CBC Health's Second Opinion, a weekly analysis of health and medical science news emailed to subscribers on Saturday mornings.
Vulnerable patients with superbugs need antibiotics to work better, say doctors and scientists who are encouraged by an AI tool that invented new chemicals to treat drug-resistant gonorrhea and MRSA. In the arms race against drug-resistant superbugs, humans have been falling behind. Infections from antibiotic-resistant strains kill more than 1.2 million people a year globally, leading to an "urgent global health threat," according to the World Health Organization.
While the new compounds still need to go through clinical trials to check for safety and efficacy and be approved by regulators like Health Canada to be used by patients, they have shown potential against the drug-resistant strains in laboratory tests on mice.

Carney's 'Buy Canadian' policy expected to be fully in place next year: source
Policy is one of several supports for tariff-impacted sectors announced this month
Ottawa's "Buy Canadian" policy will be featured in the fall federal budget and is expected to be fully in place by next spring, according to a senior federal source.
The source said initial elements of the policy should be in effect by as early as November, and will be fully applied in 2026. The source, who CBC News has agreed not to name because they were not authorized to share their knowledge of the government's plans, added that details in the November budget would be key for moving the policy forward. They said they expect new funding to be attached.
