TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

It is a lovely, mild morning here in my Green Space, with cirrus clouds rolling in from the Southeast. I pray that the upper winds don't shift more from the east; if it does, we usually experience a change in weather patterns here in the Niagara Region. It often comes quite rapidly, even overnight. The jet stream typically drops from the north, bringing colder, wetter weather. When the jet stream goes north, warmer air from the southwest comes to our region 🥶🥵. Southwest 🥵 is what we are predicted to experience for the next couple of weeks. You know, the usual, Summer hanging onto a twig 🌱 on the edge of the dark, mysterious precipice of winter deal. 🌬 🥶

For today, it appears like it's going to be another typical summer day, and I am very grateful for that. And thank you for spending a moment or two with me as you read through the Tree House News.

Now, let us pause for a moment and pray, then take action. Help one another, VIVE LA RESISTANCE!

Today, let us pray for the not-so-fortunate survivors of human or naturally caused catastrophes. Please look after one another. Now, maybe it's time to bring back some of the old ways where neighbor helped neighbor as we did to get through the Great Depression. It's called being humanitarians. Sharing love, caring, compassion, and EMPATHY are at the top of the list.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

WHAT IS A HUMANITARIAN

  • Humanitarian - Google Search -

A humanitarian is a person dedicated to helping others and reducing suffering.

- Google Search -

  • Being a Humanitarian:

Being a humanitarian means actively working to reduce human suffering and promote human welfare, often in times of crisis like natural disasters or conflict, by providing essential aid and advocating for dignity and equality. This can involve formal work as an aid worker, but it also extends to individuals who volunteer, fundraise, or campaign for justice, emphasizing a personal commitment to compassion and social reform. ... • A Humanitarian:

A humanitarian is a person who expresses concern for others while promoting human welfare. A humanitarian may be a volunteer or a paid employee who works on global issues and challenges, such as food and/or water shortages, malnutrition, environmental disasters, political unrest, and health care emergencies... I remember my mom telling me a story about when she was little, living on the farm during the Great Depression. It was not unusual for her dad to take in homeless people riding the freight trains and provide them with lodging in the barn. They ate at the supper table with the rest of the family, and he paid them for working on his farm. That's one example of helping one another, that and bartering. Maybe this humanitarian system can be applied in many other living situations until the Orange Pus Bag storm has blown over.

My Partner and I have a proposal package that we are working on together to present to you, the people, to consider putting into action.

I know I am just little stuff as far as the news goes, but at least I do my best to UNFAKE THE NEWS

BREAKING NEWS:

ICE calls for removal of man accused of beheading another man with machete at Dallas motel

Police say Cobos-Martinez was cleaning a room with an unnamed witness as the incident unfolded. The witness told police Cobos-Martinez became upset when the victim, Chandra Nagamallaiah, used the unidentified witness to translate his request to not use a broken washing machine instead of speaking to him directly, according to the affidavit.

Surveillance video shows Cobos-Martinez leaving the motel room, pulling out a machete and attacking Nagamallaiah. After the victim ran, the attack continued outside – in front of the victim’s wife and son – both of whom attempted to intervene, according to the affidavit. After beheading Nagamallaiah, Cobos-Martinez allegedly placed the victim’s head in a dumpster.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued a statement Thursday announcing it had lodged a detainer for the federal arrest and removal of Cobos-Martinez, whom ICE called a “depraved criminal illegal alien from Cuba.”

The beheading comes amid the Trump administration pointing at crimes committed by undocumented people as reasoning behind the recent immigration crackdowns across the United States.

Cobos-Martinez was previously held in ICE Dallas custody at the Bluebonnet Detention Center but was released on an order of supervision on January 13 “because Cuba would not accept him because of his criminal history,” according to ICE. CNN has reached out to the Cuban Consulate in the US to verify this accusation. ...

Yordanis Cobos-Martinez. Quite probably the truth since there was an eyewitness. BUT!

I suppose we won't know the complete, undiluted truth behind this one or any other with Hispanic-sounding last names until we have a real legal system that doesn't discriminate against ANYONE, so be it. 🙇‍♀️ AMEN! 🙏

NATO launches ‘Eastern Sentry’ operation in response to Russian drone incursions

NATO has launched an initiative to reinforce the defense of Europe’s eastern flank after a Russian drone incursion into Polish airspace this week, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced on Friday.

The “Eastern Sentry” operation will commence in the coming days and will involve assets from Denmark, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and others, Rutte said. “Eastern Sentry will add flexibility and strength to our posture and make clear that, as a defensive alliance, we are always ready to defend,” he added.

Rutte said that Russia’s “dangerous and unacceptable” drone incursion on Wednesday was “not an isolated incident.”

“Russia’s recklessness in the air, along our eastern flank, is increasing in frequency,” Rutte said.

NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe, US General Alexus Grynkewich, said the operation, which will be “flexible and agile,” will include enhanced capabilities, integrated air- and ground-based defenses, and increased information-sharing among NATO partners.

Foreign hack of John Bolton’s AOL account cited as part of reasoning for searching his house

*The inclusion of the section about the hack indicates that it has become a key reason for investigators to believe Bolton may have violated laws that prohibit the unsecured keeping or sharing of national defense and classified records following his departure from the White House in the fall of 2019.*

The FBI’s search affidavit also discusses his public commentary about other politicians needing to protect classified records and his work on a manuscript in 2020 that he published that year as a deeply critical look inside the Trump White House. In addition to the new court record, a source familiar with the investigation has told CNN that intelligence related to the hack – collected overseas by the CIA years ago – provided the basis for the warrant to search Bolton’s house.

The US intelligence community believes Bolton’s emails had hallmarks of being intercepted by China, Russia or Iran, according to a source familiar with the matter. Of those three countries, Iran was considered the top suspect, the source said, though it remains unclear if investigators ever concluded who the exact culprit was...

TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

Well, that settles it. I made the coffee and ate my cereal as I waited for the coffee, feeling much more alive today instead of like roadkill yesterday. After the coffee was done doin' its thing, I took a cup and went to sit out in my Green Space, with the early sun shining down from the top of the trees, it felt like Heaven.

My Personal Prayer For Today is: I need and deserve a little piece of Heaven in mind and body now and again, not constant Hate and Pain. Physical and spiritual pain is Hell. HATE, PAIN, and HELL are Satan's holy trinity in my opinion. For today, I am grateful and thank the Great Spirit for allowing me to be free from the torture table in Satan's dungeon, and I pray that my debt for any wrongdoings has been paid in full.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

UNFAKING THE NEWS:

My mission was to set a goal to learn more about the aspects of human emotions and behavior. I began by starting a blog, thinking it would be a home for someone to hang their hat for a while and let their imagination be their guide.

I carry the message of goodwill and hope; hope, survival, determination, and faith, BELIEVE! I employ the spiritual and the imagination, where limits and borders do not exist, to bring readers to The Land of Infinite Potentialities. Pick one and follow the map in your heart, and you will get to where you are supposed to be. Where do you want to be?

I am attempting to do the same with my Tree House News.

Fairy Lady - News Chaser and commentary on the latest news. AS I SEE IT.

I do what I can to share whatever enlightenment, warnings, encouragement, or support I am able to share. I have no mental brick walls; they belong to the chicken livers, deceivers, crow baits, rusty tin can gods, the arbitors, the doubters, the what ifs and what if not, maybes, possibly, no way, the maybes and maybe nots, or I'll try; they are neither here nor there, like the prayers and thoughts without action. They are all limbo statements just hanging there in space. That's the way it was for me for nearly 30 years of my life.

I am GRATEFUL I was where I was supposed to be, or I would not have had the privilege of the many adventures I had on the road; I learned a lot, and saw a lot that I would otherwise have missed. Thank you for reading the news.

Why pesticides could threaten a MAGA-MAHA political divorce

Pesticides are a big business in the United States — a billion pounds of insect and weed killers can be used in a year, mostly to blanket acres of corn, soybeans, spinach, and wheat grown by America’s massive agriculture industry.

Banning or heavily restricting certain pesticides has been a core tenet of the ‘Make America Healthy Again’ movement, and supporters expected the Trump administration, with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as its Health and Human Services secretary, to deliver. But a much-touted strategy report by the MAHA Commission — a Trump-mandated group led by Kennedy that is supposed to tackle the drivers of chronic disease in America — emerged this week with little to show on the issue...

You thought it was fall? A major pattern shift starts today

Anyone who’s drinking hot pumpkin spice lattes in a chunky sweater may need to rein it in for a little while. The crisp weather many in the United States enjoyed over the last week or two was just a sneak peek of fall: Late summer heat is making a comeback.

Temperatures will start getting toasty Friday afternoon, and by Sunday, over 90 million people in the central and eastern US are expected to have afternoon highs above 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The jet stream will lift all the way into Canada this weekend across the eastern half of North America. When the jet soars north, it opens the gate for warm air to travel well beyond its usual early-September stomping grounds.

Technically, it’s still astronomical summer until the autumnal equinox on September 22, so the season’s second wind isn’t so surprising. But on the heels of a refreshing false fall, the snap back to summertime will feel all the more dramatic...

Charlie Kirk shooting suspect taken into custody and identified

  • Where Things Stand:

JUST IN: The suspect in the killing of Charlie Kirk is in custody, officials just announced in a news conference.

The suspect, identified as Tyler Robinson, reached out to a family friend, who then contacted authorities, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said. Robinson spoke negatively of Kirk before the shooting, a family member told investigators, the governor said.

Investigators discovered a bolt-action rifle wrapped in a towel, and inscriptions — including one that read “Hey fascist! Catch!” — were engraved on casings found with the rifle, officials said.

President Donald Trump earlier said he believed “with a high degree of certainty” that the shooting suspect had been apprehended...

Source says legislation could be tabled as early as Tuesday

Prime Minister Mark Carney's government is expected to introduce legislation as early as Tuesday to crack down on people willfully intimidating and obstructing individuals entering places of worship, cultural community centres and schools, CBC News has learned. A source with knowledge of the government's plans says Ottawa will propose three new offences under Canada's Criminal Code, including creating a new hate crime offence.

Carney promised during his election campaign to respond to what he's called a "horrifying rise in hate" including antisemitism and Islamophobia. He signalled to his caucus this week changes were coming...

Popular support for more immigration has cratered. Politicians are taking note

Nearly three-quarters of Canadians support reducing number of new immigrants: poll

Canada's large immigrant population has long been regarded as a virtue — but new data suggests popular opinion on adding more newcomers has gone through a seismic shift after years of explosive growth.

For much of the last 25 years, immigration was something of a third rail in Canadian politics, with few elected officials publicly questioning its value. On that issue, too, there's been a major about-face. At the Liberal caucus retreat in Edmonton this week, Prime Minister Mark Carney put the immigration system on notice, saying recent levels have not been "sustainable" and a more "focused" approach is required. "It's clear that we must improve our overall immigration policies," he said...

TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

It's another beautiful summer morning out there in my green space. I savor every second, it won't be around for much longer. I am sure that I will be appreciative to be able to sit in this chair without pain. Got enough problems with the stomach, I don't need a pain in the arse toothache to go with it. Too much pain for this tiny body. I pray that this is the end of the torture rack; I have had enough to pay for several lifetimes of sins. The only positive thing I can do while I'm suffering is to send prayers for the healing of those who are suffering, and there are plenty of them out there to pray for. Why suffer unnecessarily? Put it to good use.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Let us take a moment to pray and meditate for those who are suffering and for those getting chewed up in Trump's meat grinder. I like the guy about as much as I do my TOOTHACHE AND MY SICK GUT, but I leave it to the Great Spirit as to what Karma they shall receive. Let the Great Spirit deal with him and his MAGAt dunce brigade. I can only pray that whatever Karma the Great Spirit has in store for them is expedited BEFORE more people are destroyed.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

Shooter still at large after Trump ally and activist Charlie Kirk was murdered on Utah campus

This comment was made by MSNBC analyst Matthew Dowd yesterday, and it got him fired:

"Regarding Charlie Kirk, a devoted Trump ally, He's been one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or aimed at certain groups,"

Dowd replied. "And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions. And I think that is the environment we are in."

In my own opinion, it stands to reason that for every action, you get an equal and opposite reaction. That's science, to put it simply, if you throw a brick in a crowd, you get one back.

This comment drew so many demands from MAGAts for Dowd's firing that MSNBC canned Dowd due to his comments being "inappropriate."

There is no denying that this bunch of Republican henchmen, Dunce Cadets as I call them, REPUBLICANS MY ARSE, DUNCE BRIGADE MAGAts, are so obviously a bunch of sadist clowns. A man speaks the truth, and he loses his job, or Trump finds someone's wallet to choke. No wallet, no ID, and no money, you are a non-person. AND THEY BLAME IT ALL ON THE DEMOCRATS, when the Democrats are still so far off afield they'll have to call in an international agent to find where their ball went. They can't even squeak, let alone get in the way of the meat-grinding Dunce Brigade MAGAts, which are steamrolling them.

I don't know who Charlie Kirk is. I have never heard of him, so I don't think he's one of The Big Cheeses, but they are certainly making a big deal about him. What about all those who were recently killed in a school shooting? And these Mother Truckers want more guns on the street. Will more guns solve everything? In its last term, the Utah Legislature made it legal to carry firearms, openly or concealed, on a college campus.

Who was Charlie Kirk? What we know about the shooting and the suspect

Video of the incident shows Charlie Kirk speaking to a large outdoor crowd when a gunshot rings out.

Charlie Kirk, a well-known conservative activist in the United States and staunch ally of President Donald Trump, was shot dead at an event at Utah Valley University (UVU) on Wednesday.

Video of the incident circulating on social media showed Kirk speaking to a large outdoor crowd when a loud crack, a gunshot, rang out...

UK fires ambassador to US Peter Mandelson over Epstein links

London

Peter Mandelson was fired as Britain’s ambassador to the United States on Thursday after his ties to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein became another unwelcome problem for the embattled Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Mandelson had been under mounting pressure over his relationship with Epstein after US lawmakers on Monday released a “birthday book,” compiled for Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003, in which the veteran Labour party politician had penned a handwritten note describing Epstein as “my best pal.” Despite the revelation, Starmer forcefully defended his ambassador on Wednesday, telling parliament that Mandelson had his “full confidence.”

Double whammy for Americans: Inflation continues to rise as jobs outlook grows weaker

The cost of living continues to increase for Americans at a time when the job market appears to be on shakier footing, creating a complicated economic problem that could be tricky to solve.

Consumer prices rose 0.4% in August, driving the annual inflation rate to 2.9%, the highest since January, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data released Thursday. The reading marked an acceleration from the 2.7% increase seen in July, with price hikes driving up the cost of Americans’ most basic needs. Grocery and fuel prices shot higher in August after falling the month before. Food at home prices rose 0.6% — the highest monthly jump in nearly three years — and gas prices climbed by 1.9% after falling 2.2% the month before.

The latest Consumer Price Index provided further evidence that some costs from President Donald Trump’s policies, such as sweeping immigration reform and steep tariffs, are slowly being passed along to consumers, economist Dean Baker, co-founder of the Center for Economic and Policy Research, told CNN on Thursday...

TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

It appears it is going to be a beautiful sunny summer day again today. I really have no idea how I'm going to feel and how long before some pain in the arse shows up, like right now. My stomach is playing skipping rope, and I have the beginnings of a headache in my left temple, which I believe is my teeth, like it's trying to keep the same beat as the stomach. I don't need a crystal ball, but I can see a retinue of doctors in tiny rooms full of COVID-19 in my future.

Oh well, I guess as you age, you'd better be prepared to carry an extra suitcase just for your pills. You need to take a bucket of pills just to live a half-normal life. There's not much of a physical life after 80 years old. The only way to deal with the ailments is bull my way through, and while my mind is occupied, the pain goes in the background.

If you wish, please send me a HEALING PRAYER to get rid of some of this pain. I only ask to be fully active and have my faculties intact until it's time to go, and so I can finish my work here. It's hard to do if there's a constant pain in the arse or threats ot it.

Now For The Good News.

CANADIAN SPACE LAUNCH

NordSpace Planning Another Attempt at Rocket Launch in St. Lawrence by Mid-Month

Rendering of NordSpace's Tundra Orbital Launch Vehicle (NordSpace)

A Canadian space technology company, which is developing a commercial spaceport on the Burin Peninsula, is hoping to take another stab at Canada's first commercial space launch by mid-month. NordSpace, a company based in Markham, Ontario, made several failed attempts to launch its Taiga rocket from St. Lawrence in late August before the optimal weather window closed.

CEO Rahul Goel says they're ready to launch again as soon they get the authorization. He says that while it was disappointing that the rocket didn't get launched as planned in late August, but all the fail-safes worked as they should.

GOOD! They're not wasting time. I knew that someday we would be launching rockets from Canada. Especially after the UK sent their first successful rocket back a while ago, I never thought it would be this quick. This cake must have been in the oven for a while, but I've not heard about it before.

I did a quick research of all countries that have orbital-capable rockets listed below.

WIKIPEDIA:

Timeline of first orbital launches by country

This is a timeline of first orbital launches by country. While a number of countries, including. Canada, Australia, Germany, Brazil, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Argentina, Italy, Indonesia, Poland, South Africa, the Philippines, Egypt, Spain, Mexico, Thailand and Chile, have built or launched satellites, as of 2022, eleven countries, incl. the United States, Japan, China, India, Iran, Israel, France, the United Kingdom and South Korea, could send objects into orbit with their own launch vehicles. Russia and Ukraine inherited the capability of the space launchers and satellites from the Soviet Union, following its dissolution in 1991. Russia launches its rockets from its own and foreign (Kazakh) spaceports.

SO, it appears that the space program is still alive and well somewhere.

LET US PRAY:

Great Spirit, please be merciful to We, the People. We have been caught up in the meat grinder of this insanity. Great Spirit, save, protect, and guide the people of The RESISTANCE. Resist through prayer and action. Don't just think about it, do something. You, the people, are who will get things done, one deed at a time. AMEN! 🙏

NATO shoots down Russian drones in Polish airspace, accusing Moscow of being ‘absolutely reckless’

NATO fighter jets shot down multiple Russian drones that violated Polish airspace during an attack on neighboring Ukraine early on Wednesday, as the military alliance denounced Moscow for “absolutely dangerous” behavior that ratcheted up tensions to a new level.

The operation marked the first time that shots were fired by NATO since the start of the war in Ukraine. Polish and Dutch jets intercepted the drones, with assistance from Italian, German and NATO’s multinational forces, officials said.

Russian drones were shot down in several locations across Poland

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said there were 19 intrusions of his country's airspace, and that a "large proportion" of the drones entered it from Belarus.

Trump is okay with letting his DC police takeover lapse, White House officials say

President Donald Trump doesn't mind letting his 30-day takeover of Washington, DC's Metropolitan Police Department lapse on Wednesday, White House officials told CNN — mainly because he feels the city has taken steps to cooperate.

Those officials argued the executive order signed by DC Mayor Muriel Bowser last week, which calls for indefinite collaboration with federal law enforcement, achieves their goals without an extension that would typically require congressional approval.

Trump has previously vowed to push lawmakers to approve his continued federalization of the DC police force. But after Bowser's order, the officials said he has abandoned plans to pressure GOP lawmakers to take up such a bill, which would have required some Democratic support in the Senate...

In new book, Kamala Harris says it was reckless to let Biden make reelection decision on his own

“In retrospect,” Kamala Harris writes of letting Joe and Jill Biden decide on their own whether the then-president should have tried to run for re-election, “I think it was recklessness.”

That is the assessment that the former vice president makes in her forthcoming memoir of her abbreviated 2024 run, in a significant break from the dutiful stance she took toward her old boss throughout their time in office and since. “‘It’s Joe and Jill’s decision.’ We all said that, like a mantra, as if we’d all been hypnotized,” Harris writes in the first excerpt of “107 Days” published Wednesday morning by The Atlantic. “The stakes were simply too high. This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to an individual’s ego, an individual’s ambition. It should have been more than a personal decision.”

Part of the problem, Harris writes, was a Biden team so committed to not helping her that she says it ultimately came at his own, and the country’s expense...

No oil pipeline on the list of projects of national interest

*No private company has raised a hand so far to develop such a project*

As Prime Minister Mark Carney's government prepares to announce the first projects of national interest it has selected, Radio-Canada has learned that no oil pipeline is on the list, according to three sources. "There is no [oil] pipeline project on the table," one of them said, despite the federal government's promise to make Canada an "energy superpower."

Carney has never ruled out the idea of supporting the construction of a new pipeline.

"We have to choose a few major projects, not necessarily pipelines, but maybe pipelines: we'll see," he said on the French-language TV show, Tout le monde en parle, during the election campaign. The prime minister nevertheless emphasized the importance of reaching a consensus with the provinces.

Behind the scenes, a Liberal source insisted that the absence of a pipeline on the initial list does not mean that one will never happen. Approval of a natural gas pipeline project is also not out of the question.
