Land of Whispering Pines ๐ŸŒฒ

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you ๐Ÿ™

This morning here at Tree House Newsroom, it looks like the sun is rising in an ever-growing tinge of orange over the trees, ๐ŸŒ„ with what appears to be only intermittent clouds. I was outside in my Green Space ๐Ÿƒ for a bit earlier, when it was still dark, ๐ŸŒŒ and I needed a light jacket to ๐Ÿฅผ be comfortable enough to sit in my Green Space ๐Ÿƒ with my coffee this morning, or standing at a bus stop ๐ŸšŽ๐Ÿ›‘ while waiting for a bus ๐ŸšŽ ๐Ÿฅผ. Well, you wouldn't be waiting for an elephant at a bus stop ๐Ÿ˜ unless you work for the circus, right? ๐Ÿคก Then you may wonder where you're going to put your elephant ๐Ÿ˜ on this bus, ๐ŸšŽ? Then Gus the Bus driver ๐Ÿ˜Ž says,' back seat row, no luggage. The elephant leaves his trunk at the bus stop ๐ŸŒถ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸšŽ๐Ÿ›‘

OK, enough of that for today.

ANOUNCEMENT:

I have an appointment today at 12:00 to get my COVID-19 shot, so I don't want to miss it as the COVID-19 season closes in on us again. I am pretty sure I will not have the news finished before then, and I refuse even to attempt racing against the clock. I was never very good at that, and I have no desire to mess up and end up taking an extra hour or more to fix the messes afterward. Yesterday was a disaster that way, and I didn't even have an appointment; I don't want a repetition of yesterday.

Time Anxiety

Worrying about not having enough time is a form of time anxiety, which is the fear of wasting time or the unease about time passing too quickly. This feeling can create a vicious cycle where the anxiety itself leads to procrastination and more wasted time, further increasing stress. This anxiety can range from a daily sense of being rushed to deeper existential dread about not achieving your goals. ...

My Opinion:

I believe this is the best description I have come across thus far in my research on this topic. I still very much have an interest in the topic, for I have this disorder as well, and the only cure I have found for myself is to find retirement. OK, with that said, retirement from doing physical or mental work behind a desk or on a construction site, doing it by the clock, is stressful—even for a regular person, or even a hardened one. After a while, that stress catches up.

I remain active with the outside world through Social Networks. I express my thoughts, feelings, and opinions on local and world events, where I can still feel useful in society without worrying about a clock on the wall. I don't give a fiddler's fiddle about getting comments, though I wouldn't mind getting some. What's more important to me is whether anyone is reading my comments. Some social networks don't have view numbers. I would appreciate it very much if you read it, heart it, ❤️ or, if you don't like it, post a thumbs down ๐Ÿ‘Ž —simple as that.

_*If I were still in the workforce, I would certainly have fun in a drone designing research facility with no clocks, nanotechnology, and even work on the theory of anti-gravity, moving past Einstein's Field Equations (EFEs): ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ•น๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿงฌ☢️๐ŸŒŒ It's called "CURIOSITY!" I shouts to the cosmos, arms outstretched.

Pentagon to use $130 million donation from anonymous Trump ‘friend’ to pay military members

The Trump administration plans to funnel a $130 million donation from an anonymous ally of President Donald Trump toward paying military service members during the government shutdown, the Defense Department confirmed on Friday.

“The donation was made on the condition that it be used to offset the cost of Service members’ salaries and benefits,” chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said in a statement to CNN, adding that the money was accepted under the department’s “general gift acceptance authority.” The move marks a striking departure from government procedure for funding the military, which traditionally relies on public funds appropriated by Congress. And it raised immediate questions about the donor’s identity and motivations for cutting the nine-figure check to the government.

The $130 million donation is unlikely to make any meaningful impact toward covering salaries of the roughly 1.3 million active duty military troops, netting out to about $100 per service member...

As pressure mounts, here's where every Indiana senator stands on Trump's redistricting push

The pressure is mounting on Indiana's Senate Republicans, who are the roadblock to President Donald Trump's plan to redraw the state's congressional map mid-decade.

It's reached a fever pitch since Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric Bray, through a spokesperson, revealed publicly in Politico Oct. 22 that his caucus doesn't have the votes to redistrict. Since then, a handful of vocal state senators who support redistricting have doubled down, and one prominent Senate leader ― Chris Garten of Charlestown ― made clear his positive position for the first time. Meanwhile, conservative activists from outside Indiana have vowed to come to here to rally and organize against Indiana senators who've opposed redistricting.

'Don't Need America': Canada SNAPS Ties With U.S. After Fiery Carney-Trump Clash, Tariff Crisis?

Prime Minister Mark Carney vows to double Canada’s non-U.S. exports amid rising U.S. tariffs, warning that America’s protectionist trade shift is strangling investment and threatening jobs. Carney declared the “era of economic dependence on the U.S.” over, urging Canadians to “take care of ourselves” by expanding global trade with India, China, and other partners. He said tariffs have hit industries like steel, autos, lumber, and aluminium hard. With over 75% of exports tied to the U.S., Carney’s bold plan signals a major economic pivot toward self-reliance, energy independence, and global market diversification.

Milky Way a Tiny Red Dot in The Laniakia Supercluster

Please read this. I believe it goes very well with the James Webb article I posted earlier below:

The yellow structure shown is the Laniakea Supercluster one of the largest known cosmic structures in the observable universe.

That tiny red dot… is us. Our Milky Way home to billions of stars — sits inside the Laniakea Supercluster, a colossal web of over 100,000 galaxies stretching 500 million light-years across.

Discovered in 2014, this “Immense Heaven” connects galaxies like rivers of gravity flowing through space showing that our home galaxy is just one thread in a vast cosmic tapestry.

It’s a humbling reminder: even our mighty Milky Way is just a small part of something far greater. ๐Ÿ’ซ

Trump says he’s ending Canada trade negotiations over anti-tariff ad

President Donald Trump said on Thursday he was terminating trade talks with Canada, threatening once again to upend the crucial economic relationship between the United States and its second-biggest trading partner.

Trump said he canceled the talks in response to an advertisement released last week by the government of Canada’s Ontario province, which featured audio from a speech by former US President Ronald Reagan criticizing tariffs on foreign goods. In the 1987 speech, Reagan lambasted tariffs as hurting “every American worker and consumer” and “triggering fierce trade wars.”

After the ad aired, the Ronald Reagan Foundation claimed it “misrepresents” the speech, and that the Ontario government had not asked permission to use the clip...

TODAY'S TOPIC:

~ INTUITION OR LITTLE VOICE ~

When I say my little voice, I mean it is more like information booths at Grand Central Station or Toronto Airport. Of course, airports are more of a gamble when it comes to whether your plane will arrive on time. But in times of high stress, the speakers do come on if you're listening.

Where do the sources of packets of information come from to form a thought? Ever wondered about that? Yeah, in these modern times, well, in the academic field of science and research, anyway, we are learning a lot about the brain — how it processes information and communicates with the rest of the body.

But just exactly where does the source, not the process, of each thought come from?. You know, like, when you see the precipice, something should be setting off alarm bells in your mind. Instinctively, you should become aware and stop. What is it that tells you to stop?

On the other hand, the precipice is quite real, but your mind is not present to see it. So you don't see it!

What is it that indicates to your mind to stop? How many pieces of information, and from what sources, do these pieces of information come to indicate that something is out of place, then make me aware of my surroundings, and I suddenly STOP! Given I haven't got my nose stuck in a cell phone.

US military strikes 2 boats in Pacific in apparent expansion of campaign against alleged drug trafficking

The US military conducted lethal strikes against two boats in the eastern Pacific this week, killing all people on board each vessel, according to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.

The two strikes on vessels in the Pacific — the eighth and ninth known strikes by the US military on alleged drug-smuggling vessels since the start of September — appear to mark an expansion of the US military campaign, with all seven previous strikes targeting boats in the Caribbean Sea.

At least 37 people in total have been killed in the nine strikes, officials have said.

“Narco-terrorists intending to bring poison to our shores, will find no safe harbor anywhere in our hemisphere,” Hegseth said on X Wednesday, noting a Tuesday strike in the Pacific had killed both people on board. Hegseth said the boat in that strike was “being operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization...

Trump plows past concerns over East Wing demolition — and envisions an even bigger ballroom than initially planned

President Donald Trump has proceeded with enormous latitude as he constructs his massive new ballroom, bypassing concerns raised by preservationists and so far stopping short of seeking approval from the commission overseeing construction on federal buildings to tear down the entirety of the White House East Wing.

The ballroom is now expected to be larger than initially planned, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. The president has shown visitors two flat tabletop models, at times quizzing the room on which version they preferred: the smaller one or the larger one. Most answered that the bigger one was better, to which Trump agreed. While it’s not clear how much larger, Trump did say Wednesday that the ballroom is expected to cost a projected $300 million, seemingly in line with a larger structure. Previously, the administration had put the cost at $200 million...

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you ๐Ÿ™

Well, we again have a beautiful, bright, sunny morning out there, cool but bright. I like the brightness; greyness feels like I'm moving through a cloud with the density of molasses, as if I'm carrying around a 500-pound sack on my back. Anyway, I did feel like that when I first got up, but once I saw the sun come up over the trees, my mood changed, and I thought I would begin today's comments on a happier note.

I was looking for an old Stompin' Tom tune to attach to a post in one of my social networks and happened upon the one below. This tune brings memories of happy days on the road. That tune turned my crank for the day. I do believe today will be a pretty fine day.๐Ÿ˜‰

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9gg8GEy-ls

P.S. I may have even beaten Stompin' Tom's itinerary. I don't know if he ever heard of Mims or Sawgrass, Florida, Washburn, Tennessee, or Dildo, Labrador. I thought that was a neat one. And oh, Peach Springs, Arizona, on the Grand Canyon Hualapai Reservation, land of the cute little prickly pear cactuses. Ah, I could fill a book about each place I liked and set roots in for a while, ya know, hang my hat on a peg and call it home—the camper and truck days.

I have a doctor's appointment. Still, I can't grumble about this one, it is necessary I see him so I can set up my prescriptions to match the time I will not be seeing him until spring, in March or April, when the bug season, COVID and FLU, what I call that killer bugs season, is over ⚫️<-Big period that's it.

It's hibernation time until I completely recover from all this crap, the knives, and other complications I have gone through over the last 25 years. I would so love to know how it feels to wake every day, knowing that I'm going to feel and be aware that I'm alive, without having to feel every part of my body complaining when I shouldn't even be aware of the inner working parts or even be reminded they're there. THAT IS ALL THAT I PRAY FOR IN THE NEW. YEAR* I NEED A BREAK, TIME TO HEAL, "Hot Stuff ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ”ฑ , Go masturbate yourself in the seventh circle of Hell ♨️๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ‘ฟ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ‘บ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ‘พ , for a while, OK! Like about half past eternity!" ๐Ÿคฃ

My Opinion:

And do whatever turns your crank today, in a positive way, whether it be in what you can contribute in a physical, mental, spiritual, or scientific capacity to advance humanity. Even the tiniest of deeds, shared or new information, or data are recorded on the fabric of time and space. You can only make a difference if you listen to your little inner voice, or what your heart says, and you get off your duff and do it!

I pray you all have a productive, safe, and blessed day. Thank you for reading the Tree House News.

National Guard deployment latest as anti-ICE protests flare from coast to coast

What We're Covering Here:

• A dizzying lineup of legal disputes is unfolding today in President Donald Trump’s push to deploy US troops to Democratic-led cities. At this moment, a federal judge is holding a hearing on whether to extend an order blocking the deployment of National Guard troops to Chicago.

• While Trump leans on a new federal appeals court ruling backing his deployment of the National Guard to Portland, Oregon, he’s urging the US Supreme Court to allow a similar effort in Chicago. The latter case is one of the most significant emergency requests to reach the high court lately and almost certain to spill over as litigation plays out elsewhere, including Memphis.

• Immigration raids, meanwhile, keep flaring up across the country. In New York, bystanders stepped in Tuesday during a raid along Manhattan's Canal Street, while in Los Angeles, a US marshal and a TikTok streamer who is undocumented were hurt in a shooting at an ICE stop.

World Court says Israel must allow UN aid into Gaza

The International Court of Justice said Wednesday that Israel must allow the United Nations aid agency in Gaza, known as UNRWA, to provide humanitarian assistance to the war-torn territory. The UN General Assembly asked the court last year to give an advisory opinion on Israel's legal obligations after the country effectively banned the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, the main provider of aid to Gaza, from operating in the territory.

Israel "is under the obligation to agree to and facilitate relief schemes provided by the United Nations and its entities, including UNRWA," the court's president Yuji Iwasawa said...

TREE HOUSE NEWS ๐Ÿก

Land of Whispering Pines ๐ŸŒฒ

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you ๐Ÿ™

Well, it is another bright sunny morning ๐ŸŒ„ here at the Tree House ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿก Newsroom. ๐Ÿ“ฐ Cool, but nice for this late in the fall. It is supposed to be intermittent sun and in the upper 60s °F next week, beginning on Friday. So it appears we get another kick at the can for nice, early summer-like weather.

I enjoy sitting here at the kitchen table, looking out through the sliding glass doors onto my green space ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿชท๐ŸŒบ and that beautiful blue sky. ๐Ÿž It's just like living in a tree house with the tops of the trees all around us. ๐Ÿงš‍♀️๐Ÿ˜‰ Now where's my unicorn?๐Ÿฆ„๐Ÿคฃ

I love the early morning sheen on everything and the stillness; it's magical. The brilliant sun makes the trees, which are beginning to turn color, appear greener and pristine. Today's is probably the cleanest air we've had all summer. Now I pray we get a normal winter this year, which is, on average, about 20°F at its coldest here on the peninsula.

A Little More About My Creature Habits

I only do Fahrenheit. I was born with the English scale. I could never memorize math conversions because I have a short-term memory problem, which also causes a little difficulty with spelling. I do equations and mathematical problem-solving well enough, just hand me a piece of paper and an HB pencil, and I'll get the answer faster than the person next to me could with a calculator or a slide rule. Now they use computers to compute mathematical data. I still keep my HB pencil and a pad of paper next to my keyboard. I can solve an equation as long as I know how the equation operates, even if I don't see the equation itself. It becomes a concept for me.

Actually, I need to distract myself for fear of where my premonitions or intuitions might take me, especially if I allow my intuitions to drift like sensory tentacles loose in the world at large during the End Times when destruction and suffering of "biblical" proportions are inflicted upon Earth in this movie called the insanity of Planet 3-TARA-HBE 32 RIP. The third planet from Sol has been reduced to a red-hot cinder.

If the ways of our world don't change, prove me wrong.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

- Google Search -

MINDFUL INTUITION

What are the three types of intuition?

How does mindfulness help with intuition?

Intuition is obtained or honed through the brain's processing patterns from earlier experiences or observations. Mindfulness and intuition may have a symbiotic relationship where a mindful person is able to read more cues. The process of intuition is honed by carefully attuning to or being mindful of the cues around us.

- Google Search -

INTUITION:

immediate apprehension or cognition without reasoning or inferring. 2. : knowledge or conviction gained by intuition. 3. : the power or faculty of gaining direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference.

- Google Search -

MINDFULNESS:

Mindful means being aware of the present moment—including your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings—without judgment. It is a practice of paying attention to "what is" in the here and now, rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Mindfulness can be cultivated through formal meditation or informal daily activities and is a way to respond to situations more calmly and less reactively.

THINK, FEEL, ACT:

About Concepts

Once I have a concept, I have two parallel equations. Which should I follow? I have come learned to follow my instincts. But what about the greater chance of the result of following one equation compared to the other one? Picking the wrong one usually leads to catastrophic results. Often, the sticking point is that I didn't follow my instinct to begin with. I THOUGHT I had the right equation and THOUGHT I was right, but I persisted in choosing the wrong, parallel equation. Brushing off my inner feelings, I took the shortcut in favor of redoing the math.

That's what old folks do a lot of, thinking, twitching in their clothes instead of jumping out of the way of the double-decker bus coming at them.

Don't just think. Make a decision based on what you are feeling from within and give that tiny, nagging little voice your ear

That's my preach for the day. Thank you for reading the Tree House News.

They dreamed of studying in the US. Trump’s visa policies have forced them to look elsewhere

New Delhi

For decades, families in India have dedicated years and much of their finances toward a singular goal: getting their children a degree from a US university. Despite the hefty cost – often bore in staggering loans – the risk was palatable because the reward was likely a career launchpad that no other country in the world could offer.

But seismic policy shifts under President Donald Trump – from his recently announced $100,000 fee for H-1B work visas to his administration’s tightening scrutiny on international students and immigration crackdown – have many of those students and their families questioning that longstanding thinking. Avi, an 18-year-old from India’s Bihar state, said he had a nearly full scholarship lined up to study anthropology at Trinity College in Connecticut, but his US visa application was denied because he failed to demonstrate “ties that will compel you to return to your home country,” a letter from the US Embassy in New Delhi said.

“I will not apply to the United States anymore. The process feels very scary now, humiliating even,” said Avi, who asked to go by a nickname over fears of jeopardizing his future prospects...

Trump scored a legal victory over National Guard troop deployment to Portland. Here’s what we know

The Trump administration has been given the green light to send the Oregon National Guard into Portland after a federal appeals court on Monday overturned a lower court’s order to bar the deployment – but there’s at least one more legal hurdle to clear before there will be boots on the ground.

“After considering the record at this preliminary stage, we conclude that it is likely that the President lawfully exercised his statutory authority,” the 2-1 ruling from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Monday said. The ruling, supported by two judges appointed by President Donald Trump, overturns a temporary restraining order issued by US District Judge Karin Immergut, who last week extended two orders blocking the mobilization of federal troops to Portland.

It also marks a big win for the administration as it continues to battle other Democrat-led cities over troop deployment – efforts that local and state leaders say are a disproportionate response to protests against the administration’s immigration enforcement crackdown...

In scathing report, AG finds CRA call centres are slow to answer and often inaccurate

In test calls, CRA agents gave accurate answers only 17% of the time when asked about individual taxes

In a scathing new report released Tuesday, the auditor general found Canada Revenue Agency contact centres are repeatedly failing to answer calls in a timely manner — and when agents do connect to a customer, they are often providing inaccurate responses. While the CRA has committed to answering 65 per cent of calls within 15 minutes a standard that is already much lower than it was in the past Auditor General Karen Hogan found that just 18 per cent were answered in that time frame in 2024-25. In June, the service offered was even worse: fewer than five per cent of calls were answered within 15 minutes.

The AG's office placed 167 test calls to the CRA between February and May of this year to assess the agency's promised response time — the average wait time to reach an agent was nearly 33 minutes. Between time on hold and spent with an agent, the report said it took analysts about 50 minutes on average to get an answer to a query...

GM to end electric van production at CAMI plant in Ingersoll, Ont.

'It's simply a demand and a market-driven response,' GM Canada's president says

General Motors has confirmed it is ending production of its BrightDrop electric delivery vans at the CAMI Assembly plant in Ingersoll, leaving the future of the southwestern Ontario facility uncertain. Production at the plant was paused in May when GM cited slowing demand in the commercial EV market. The company said that as part of today's decision, BrightDrop vehicles won't be made elsewhere, marking an end to the line that was pegged to be a cornerstone of Ontario's electric-vehicle ambitions.

"These Bright Drop vans are a specialized electric delivery van for commercial customers and, quite simply, we just have not seen demand for these vehicles climb to the levels that we initially anticipated," said Kristian Aquilina, GM Canada's president and managing director, who was in Ingersoll for the announcement. "This has nothing to do with tariffs or trade. It's simply a demand and a market-driven response." ...

BREAKING:

Giant Russian gas plant suspends intake from Kazakhstan after Ukrainian drone strike

Gazprom-operated facility has an annual processing capacity of 45 billion cubic metres

The Orenburg gas processing plant, the largest facility of its kind in the world, has been forced to suspend its intake of gas from Kazakhstan after a Ukrainian drone attack, Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy said on Sunday.

Orenburg's regional governor, Yevgeny Solntsev, said earlier on Sunday that the plant had been partially damaged and the drone strike had caused a fire to break out at a workshop at the facility. The fire was later put out, Russian media outlet Kommersant reported, citing the operator.

Ukraine — which confirmed it hit a gas processing plant in the Orenburg region and an oil refinery in the Samara region, both in southwestern Russia — has stepped up its attacks on Russian refineries and other energy facilities since August to try to disrupt gasoline supplies and deprive Moscow of funding.

TREE HOUSE NEWS ๐Ÿก

Land of Whispering Pines ๐ŸŒฒ

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you ๐Ÿ™

Well, it is a fabulous, soggy, grey, chilly, clammy day. Good weather if you're a clammer from Nova Scotia. What can I say, when I don't have any hay, eh?

Well, there isn't much going on here in the Newsroom this morning except for the gloomy greyness. I went around the living room and kitchen and turned on every light and lamp I could turn on to cheer the place up a bit. I've gotten spoiled just stepping out into my Green Space in the morning and watching the sun come over the trees. I'm going to miss that.

Next week, beginning on the weekend, it is supposed to be up in the mid-60s °F and mostly sunny every day, not bad. That is about it from the Newsroom today.

MY POLITICAL PREACHING FOR THE DAY

Let us all go a' dancin' ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ‘ฏ‍♀️๐Ÿ‘ซ in the hay, ๐ŸŒพeh! ๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐ŸŒพ๐ŸŒพ says Mrs. McKay whilst a dancin' with the Orange Clown Commander, Chief Bent Feather ๐Ÿชถ from the white ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ  wearin' the loaded diaper, ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ in the merry month of May, June, July, August, and September, ☀️ ๐ŸŒค๐ŸŒฆ and the heck with October, November, December, January, ๐ŸŒจ❄️๐Ÿ’จ I like the bright sunny crispy month of February ☀️❄️ and the melting of the Ice Queen in March, ๐ŸงŠ๐Ÿ’ง and the ๐ŸŒธ ๐ŸŒบ apple blossoms of April.

Donald Trump's little cartoon of him flying a jet over the protesters and dumping ๐Ÿ’ฉ on We the People, is that WHAT THE KINK OF BIZARROMERICA REALLY THINKS OF WHAT USED TO BE AMERICA? . The Orange Pus Head ๐ŸŸ ๐Ÿคฎ says ๐Ÿ–• to the ✨๐ŸŸฐ . "๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ ON YOU ALL!" the little people!.

Like I said yesterday, we are no more than checkers on a checkerboard; ๐ŸŸ ๐Ÿคฎ can move any checker in any direction, any time he wants, when and wherever he wants, and he cheats at checkers.

He took your health insurance, your job, and he loves choking wallets, so people become non-persons. Then you can join the line-up of people without an ID getting deported to Great Spirit knows where?

Or living in a tent this winter. ⛺️ ๐ŸŒจ๐Ÿ’จ❄️ ๐Ÿฅถ

Be honest with your own little inner voice; the imagery doesn't leave much wiggle room for any other expletive or platitudinous scenario, political or not. If you're not looking directly at the item in question, you will trip on what you missed and do the face plant thing into the pile of ๐Ÿ’ฉ.

_*Believe me, I have felt, I mean, I feel the sheer incomprehensible insanity within Trump. This guy, for as many years as I've seen him on TV, has been mercurial and cruel. I never had any good vibes for this swell-headed, narcissistic, sadistic, demented Orange Pus Toad. ๐ŸŸ ⚗️๐Ÿธ I have also been sharp enough to have noticed that anyone who hung around that cockroach got well run over by a bus, and he continues to do so to anyone who disagrees with him. Your life ain't worth a plug Canadian wooden ๐Ÿชต nickel if you cross him, this slime worm. ๐ŸŸ ⚗️๐Ÿ›

So now you went and busted the system, eh?

"Dumb, dumb!"

When all it needed was a little modification and readjusting to be responsive to the fast-changing technological system in electronics, fiber optics, satellite communications, finance, cryptocurrency, and supercomputers that rule the times we are in.

I said that in a chatroom on Yahoo Chatrooms, just before New Year's of 2000, where all the computers were going to be worthless pieces of electronics after the clock rang year 2000. Nobody actually knew? Not even the developing companies of the computer industry. What a joke, but I was not so certain back then what was going to happen. Can you imagine the chaos if all the computers in the world suddenly shut down? I think I remember seeing a movie like that not long ago, something to do with knocking out all the satellites and relay stations

I LOVE A GOOD SCI-FI. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Ÿ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿซจ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

BREAKING NEWS:

Trump’s response to ‘No Kings’ marches only proved the protesters’ point

A president steeped in constitutional lore might have been offended by claims he’s acting as a king.

But Donald Trump and his entourage responded with mockery to weekend “No Kings” protests by millions of Americans — embracing the narrative in a way that explains his growing hubris and belief that he has unchecked power.

The president and Vice President JD Vance this weekend both posted AI memes to social media depicting Trump in a crown. The one Trump shared was a mocked-up vision of the president flying a fighter jet emblazoned with “KING TRUMP” appearing to dump raw sewage on protesters. In Vance’s troll on Bluesky, a site popular with liberals, prominent Democrats knelt as supplicants in a royal court before Trump, the divine and absolute ruler...

Ontario hit NextStar EV battery plant in Windsor with 10 stop work orders over hazards, documents show

'The minister proposed some solutions for consideration by labour,' local MPP says

Workers at a massive, publicly subsidized electric vehicle (EV) battery plant project in southwestern Ontario have faced repeated health and safety hazards, including high levels of carbon monoxide, electrical risks and flooded parking lots, according to government records obtained by CBC News.

The documents show provincial inspectors have visited the site dozens of times since construction broke ground in 2022 and have issued over 100 orders to NextStar Energy, the company behind the project, that were related to health and safety issues. That included 10 stop work orders for certain areas of the site until the company addressed the issues. Failure to comply with orders under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) could lead to hefty fines and even imprisonment...
