Well, for a change, I can say it's a bright, sunny, and much milder day ahead. Before sunrise, it was -6 F, with an expected afternoon high of around 23 F. I am so looking forward to spring, when I can go out and sit in my green space. I keep it clean of snow. If it's bright and sunny out there and no wind, as long as I'm wearing a coat, I can actually sit at the table out there in the bright February sun and enjoy a coffee. Not long from now, I'll be seeing the spring birds coming back; they begin to come back even before the snow is all gone.
This is probably the best place I lived since I left the homestead. At least about two months less winter here than there was back at the homestead in north central Ontario. With the apartment facing south, we get plenty of bright sun, certainly enough to keep our solar generators charged. Portable sun panels come with them. It's also great for growing houseplants, and it's wonderful to watch the trees bud just across from our balcony or Green Space. It will be nice to see the creek begin to flow again.
I PRAY π I'm not sick this summer, I would like to sit by the creek and Grandfather Weeping Willow. I kid you not, it would take at least four full-grown men to wrap their arms around it. Paula and I couldn't even reach halfway around it. I love sitting under that tree; it's so large that it wouldn't be hard to imagine an entire world living in that tree, like in the fantasy movies. And that, my dear friend,s will be about it from the Newsroom this morning.

U.S. President Donald Trump likes to throw out a lot of figures during speeches to his base that he says prove how successful his first year back in office has been.
A rally in Iowa on Tuesday evening was no exception, where he made several wild claims including that a recent poll found that 80 per cent of Americans support his immigration enforcement campaign, while suggesting that mass deportations had led to a 78 per cent drop in crime in Memphis, Tenn., in just two months.
