TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May Great Spirit bless 🙏

It's another beautiful, sunny morning here at the Tree House. 🌄 🏡 I got up feeling much better this morning, only the usual little annoyances like my creaky back and, of course, my queasy stomach.

NOTE: MY INTENT FOR THE NEWSROOM DISCUSSIONS HERE AT THE TREE HOUSE NEWS

My only desire here in the Newroom is to share with you, the reader, my life's experiences and how I have come to a point in my life so that I wish to share with you, as an Empath, how I got through the jungle of life and even avoided all the crocodiles on that journey in life thus far.

This Too Shall Pass

And so shall it be with the Trumpo administration. When that time arrives, I pray, I will have more time to devote to other topics. What about science, technology, and imagination? Also, discussions on psychology and other concepts in technology and biology. So many different issues of possible interest, pick one 👍

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

Post Trumpo Regime,

Changing Some Points Of Interest in The Tree House News

Perhaps, Like Below;

I LIKE: SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, PSYCHOLOGY & NEWS

Maybe a new masthead, similar to the one below. The thing is, I'm thinking ahead for when normal people are back in charge of the asylum.

One could be The Journey of The Fairy Lady, or how about A Personal Self-Help Program, or how about 'If the Shoe Fits, Wear It' Club.'

Maybe use abbreviations? Tree House - S.T.P. & N. Or how about a Personal Self-Help Program, something like, Tree House P.S.H.P. or something to that effect, like, *If The Shoe Fits, Wear It' Club* - Tree House I.T.S.F.W.I.C.

I have experienced the good, the bad, and the indifferent all the way to the profoundest of awakenings to the ultimate beauty and grandeur in the discovery of the cosmos. Phenomena which cannot be seen in the physical, except possibly as an energy source, but are felt or sensed by a deeper consciousness within me.

The stomach issues are an irritation, as the word suggests, - Irritable Bowel Syndrome. - The stomach is never really comfortable, and I often feel like I'm full, so I don't feel hungry. It also spoils the taste buds, so everything tastes like shredded cardboard. If I only had the stomach problem to live with, just one illness, not two or three at the same time. It would make me feel like I have a better chance of controlling it. With the aid of medication, I could live a somewhat normal life, like a human among the living. That is the conundrum I'm in at the moment, until I get those damned teeth pulled out. I pray that my taste buds and appetite will improve after the extractions. Then I will know for certain what the status is on my stomach. It's kind of hard to do when there is an entire army of Dunce Cadets lancing me in the stomach in the coliseum of Hell. Well, it's that or the torture chambers in The Kink of Bizarromerica's castle of evil vampire bats and fire-breathing dragons. 💔 🦇 🔥 🐉

I love imagination, and I'm an Empath, and nothin's a' gonna take that away from me. 😇💗✨🌌🏰

Motor Skills

I have found a cure for my "Butt Finger Syndrome," as I call it. In other words, the eye-to-hand motion becomes somewhat impaired as you get older, affecting eye-to-hand coordination.

To improve my motor skills, I have learned to navigate my way methodically, not a race to see if I can break a record, in this case, break dishes to finish putting them away as quickly as possible. Instead, I hesitate and think before I make a move, working out a way or pattern around obstructions until I create a habitual process that works best for me.

I have learned to move more methodically and think ahead, clearing my work area of possible obstructions before extending an appendage, so I don't find myself getting ahead of myself and then trip, with my face hitting the floor before the rest of me gets there, you see? I'm only just learning this stuff at the age of 80. I wish I had started to learn when I was 60. I suppose I wasn't prepared for the challenges of aging.

‘The problem is everybody wants to win’: Congress bitterly deadlocked as shutdown pain skyrockets

The government shutdown is on the verge of becoming the longest in US history — and lawmakers still have no idea how much longer it will go.

In Washington, senators left town for the weekend deadlocked and more frustrated than ever, while critical safety net programs could soon lose federal funding for the first time.

Two federal judges said Friday that the Trump administration must tap into billions of dollars in emergency funds to at least partially cover food stamp benefits for the month of November. President Donald Trump said later Friday he’d instructed administration lawyers to ask the courts how it can legally fund the benefits, adding that if “given the appropriate legal direction by the Court, it will BE MY HONOR to provide the funding, just like I did with Military and Law Enforcement Pay.”...

'This is not a game,' Carney says as he signals he's ready to fight election over federal budget

Prime minister says he's '100 per cent confident' the budget is right for the country

Prime Minister Mark Carney signalled on Saturday that he’s prepared to fight an election over his government’s upcoming budget should it come to that. The fiscal plan will be tabled in the minority Parliament on Tuesday, but it is far from clear whether the governing Liberals have the support of opposition parties.

At the closing of the APEC summit in South Korea, he talked up the benefits of what his government is planning to invest in and do in the future, but he avoided directly answering whether he believes there are enough votes in the House of Commons to get it through...

TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Breaking News:

Good morning, everyone! May you all be blessed on this day🙏

Well, today is the "get rid of the pain in the butt teeth day." Good news is I finally got the paper I needed from my physician to get the OK for the anesthetic, there is no way in Hell I would get teeth pulled out while aware of it, even if I don't feel the pain, even just thinking of my high sensitivity to physical pain, they would be peeling me off the ceiling with a spatula.

Like a quivering piece of meat in pain, that's how I sometimes think of myself. I greatly appreciate anyone who sends a thought, meditation, or prayer my way for healing, and that mercifully, this is the last of the pain for one lifetime. Thank you.

I do not expect to be on tomorrow, October 31, and I am unsure if I will be recovered sufficiently to sit in one place long enough to do the news on Saturday, November 1st, either. Therefore, I may not be on again until Sunday, November 2nd, or Monday, November 3rd.. I have no idea. I've not had all of my upper teeth pulled out before. The last time I had an experience with a dentist was when I was 16 years old, and that didn't go well, either.

I will update you all tomorrow ON THIS POSTING as to my status after tomorrow's visit to the dentist. 👩‍🔬 I wish it were a real tooth 🦷 fairy 🧚‍♀️ who could just make those bad teeth disappear; "Poof!" 💨 she could have um for free. 🤣

Until Then. May G-d Bless

Thank you for reading the Tree House News.

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

You hear about the kid piling blocks one on top of the other, aiming to reach the expected height. The bottom block always kicks out before the kid ever gets near the desired height. So goes life, eh! It's like getting to the top floor of a high-rise. The elevator light comes on, indicating floor ten. You step out of the elevator, then the building collapses.

Lucky, the cement slab you were lying on broke your fall. The only problem is it was kind of a messy job cleaning you out of that perfect form or mold of you in the concrete slab!

Now that's one Far Out! Statue, a good specimen for a museum. Drop by on a Tuesday at 8:28 AM on October 30, 3025, to visit the famous inside-out statue. 😂🤣

Always start the day with a bit of humor—it's like turning on the heat, at least long enough to get rid of the morning chills—then turning on all the lights on, especially on a grey, gloomy day, like today. Wet, damp with a cold north-east wind 😝

We have bright lights in the kitchen, and there are also bright lights from my two growbox gardens; the light from them gives the impression of sunlight.

Note! I will be getting my teeth pulled on Friday, 31, 2025. I have no Idea how long I will be incapacitated. I never got all my teeth removed before, only one tooth when I was 16 years old, a memory I would sooner not remember, and that was one lousy tooth. I'll only know POST-CATASTROPHE—hopefully Saturday or Sunday.

Otherwise, keep sitting on the fence, it's your *free* choice

"Sitting on the fence" is an idiom for being undecided or neutral, not taking sides in a dispute or argument. It implies a person is delaying a decision or avoiding committing to one of two opposing viewpoints. The phrase can be used when someone is genuinely unsure, wants to remain on good terms with both sides, or is indifferent.

Good enough description to fit this topic, thank you for reading the Tree House News:

I don't expect to be able to complete this morning's news report until I come back from wasting at least an hour just going there, sitting around waiting, then back eats up at least an hour and a half. Just to go sign a piece of paper. I only have an hour left, and I don't like playing that game, Beat the Clock 💩 , so I will see you all in a bit.

Exclusive: Three-star general pushed out amid tensions with Hegseth

A three-star general serving on the Pentagon’s Joint Staff has been pushed out of his position following months of sustained tensions with Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, according to people familiar with the matter. The general’s stalled promotion also contributed to his early retirement, the sources said.

Lt. Gen. Joe McGee, the director for Strategy, Plans, and Policy on the Joint Staff, left his position earlier this month, the sources said. They added that McGee had frequently “pushed back” against Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine on issues ranging from Russia and Ukraine to military operations in the Caribbean. The sources noted that McGee was nominated by former President Joe Biden nearly a year ago for a promotion to serve as director of the Joint Staff but was never renominated by the current administration.

McGee’s primary responsibility in the role was to advise Caine on long-term military strategy including weighing the risks of potential actions and planning for crisis contingencies. “He has had a target on his back for a while now,” one of the sources said of McGee. Two other sources said there were discussions internally as far back as the spring about pushing out McGee...

Carney tours newly completed South Korean sub as Canada weighs multi-billion dollar order

PM got to see what kind of submarine South Korea wants to sell to Canada

South Korea put political weight behind its bold, high-stakes bid to sell submarines to Canada on Thursday as Prime Minister Mark Carney got a look at one of the country’s new boats and toured the shipyard that would do the construction.

South Korea Prime Minister Kim Min-seok accompanied Carney during the visit to the Hanwha Ocean Ltd. facility in Geoje, 96 kilometres from Gyeongju, where the Asia Pacific Co-operation (APEC) summit is being held. Earlier in the day, Carney also met with South Korea’s new president, Lee Jae Myung. Hanwha Ocean and its partner Hyundai Heavy Industries have been fairly aggressive in pitching the KSS-III (Batch 2) submarine to Canada, delivering an unsolicited, detailed proposal to the federal government last winter — just ahead of the last election...

O Canada! Summer tourism numbers hit all-time high

Record numbers driven by strong domestic and international travellers

Tourism operators across the country will remember the summer of 2025 fondly, as the amount of money spent by tourists reached an all-time high. Canada’s tourism sector generated a record-breaking amount of revenue of between May and August, reaching $59 billion, a six per cent increase compared to the same period last year.

Most of the revenue was the result of Canadians choosing to spend their travel dollars within the country, as domestic tourism was up seven per cent. Revenue from international travellers remained strong, particularly from overseas markets, which increased by 10 per cent, according to new figures released by Destination Canada on Thursday...

TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

Another pleasant sunny morning here at The TreeHouse. I put on the coffee and got busy with a couple of things around the kitchen usual breakfast prep. Two bowls and two spoons and milk for cereal, which is corn flakes for me in the morning just something to keep the stomach quiet. Then, when the coffee was done, I woke my partner and went out onto my Green Space, in just my nightgown. It was undoubtedly on the cool side, but with the sun shining down on me and no wind, it felt like spring. While I was out there, I cleaned one of the bottom windows that I had missed the other day.*_

That's typical you can always see the tiniest smudges you missed on a window's glass in bright sunlight. Try to get them out, especially if they have an oily base — like a fingerprint — which are the usual suspects on glass, and they have dried there for some time; it's hard to get off. Maybe I could do as I suggested to my partner a while back about cleaning the oven. I say, "Flatten the ends of the lead slugs the business ends of the bullets for a six-shooter; you could use them for chisels." But then you have to be a precision shot and I'm not talking about shooting pool, or shooting ducks or fish in a barrel, if you can stuff ducks in a barrel. That class is next door.

This is the How to Remove Fingerprints on Glass Class. Pay attention, eh! 🤣

Enough nonsense from the Newsroom for today. On to the Discussion of the Day...

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

Removing Fingerprints... Err.. We're done with that one, Ma! Put on the Next film in the projector, please! 😂😆

Sensory Processing Sensitivity or SPS

- Google Search:

Sensory processing sensitivity (SPS) is a personality trait characterized by an increased sensitivity of the central nervous system and deeper cognitive processing of both physical and emotional stimuli. Individuals with SPS are more aware of subtle environmental details and can be more easily over-aroused by sensory input like bright lights, loud noises, or strong smells. This trait is a heritable personality disposition, with about 20-30% of the population considered "highly sensitive".

From my own experience, I know that when I go to the depths of my perceptions—from the sensory and visual levels to the not-usual or to a much deeper sensory level than the visual—there are more details on the sensory level than on the visual level.

To most people, they either fall asleep from boredom or think it's all fairy tales or unicorn 💩

In time, all I have changed is the manner in which I present a proposition, which is that I include the little details in pieces, in a storyline analogy.

Fed looks set to cut rates for second time this year despite data blackout

What We're Covering Here

• The Federal Reserve is set to announce its latest decision on interest rates at 2 p.m. ET, with most economists anticipating another quarter-point cut to support the waning job market.

• Central bank officials are forced to make their monetary policy determinations this month without any federal economic data due to the government shutdown.

• If the data blackout persists for much longer — obscuring how the world’s largest economy is faring — central bankers may need to hold off on any rate cuts until there’s better clarity.

Why Trump’s growing politicization of the military could backfire

What’s the difference between the flight deck of a mighty US aircraft carrier and a MAGA rally? Not much in the mind of President Donald Trump.

The commander in chief used a speech on the USS George Washington, moored in Japan Tuesday, to revive 2020 election falsehoods and to campaign for his constitutionally questionable plan to send troops into US cities. Once, such political activity using the military as a backdrop would have provoked shock back home. But Trump has infringed so many customs of the presidency that it came as no surprise.

The president recently had service members cheering a deeply partisan speech at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, that troubled many former senior officers. He staged a parade through Washington to mark the Army’s 250th anniversary — which coincided with his birthday. He rambled in a speech before top brass flown from around the globe in Virginia last month. The generals and admirals were also treated to an anti-“woke” screed from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Most notoriously, in his first term, Trump enlisted Gen. Mark Milley to march with him after demonstrators were cleared from outside the White House. The then-chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff apologized for being pulled into domestic politics and landed on Trump’s forever enemies list.

  • The military isn’t immune from politics — but tries to avoid them:
  • Presidents always walk a fine political line with the military:

Bank of Canada lowers key interest rate to 2.25%, suggests it's done cutting rates for now

Central bank can't undo structural economic changes from trade war, says governor

The Bank of Canada lowered interest rates to 2.25 per cent on Wednesday, but cautioned that monetary policy can't fix the structural economic damage caused by the U.S. trade war. The central bank said it made the 25-basis-point cut as weakness ripples through the Canadian economy and with inflation expected to stay close to the bank's two per cent target.

"For many months, we have been stressing that monetary policy cannot undo the damage caused by tariffs," said Bank of Canada governor Tiff Macklem in his opening statement...

Macklem also indicated that if inflation evolves broadly in line with the bank's current expectations — hovering around the two per cent target — it will hold rates at their current level.

However, if the outlook changes, "we are prepared to respond," he added...

UPDATE ON ONTARIO HIRING AMERICAN DOCTORS AND NURSES

Me asking - Google Search -

Why is Ontario still closing hospital beds and rural clinics when we are supposed to be hiring American doctors and nurses?

- Google Search Response -

Ontario is closing some hospital beds and rural clinics due to a combination of factors, including a shortage of healthcare workers, increased patient demand, and financial pressures, which are not being immediately solved by the new policy to recruit American doctors and nurses. The closures are a result of long-term staffing issues, the impact of the pandemic leading to early retirements, and a mismatch in resources, while recruiting foreign-trained professionals is a newer and more gradual solution to a complex, long-standing problem.

Ontario Connecting 500,000 More People to a Family Doctor and Primary Care Team

Next call for proposals open as part of plan to connect every person in the province to convenient primary care by 2029

"Ontario continues to lead the country with unprecedented investments and rapid action to strengthen the health-care system through its plan to add over 300 new primary care teams across the province, connecting two million more people to publicly funded primary care by 2029. In June, the government announced a $235 million investment, which funded over 130 new and expanded primary care teams to connect more than 300,000 to primary care, some of which have already begun accepting new patients."

Me asking - Google Search -

Why did they change one policy's red tape to make it easier and faster for American doctors and nurses to work in Ontario, then put the brake on by putting in another non-essential policy of two years of high school, A DOCTOR? That's a straight-out insult.

- Google Search Response -

The policy changes you are referring to are for different groups of medical graduates, implemented for distinct reasons, which is why the rules appear contradictory. One set of changes was designed to speed up the process for already licensed doctors from the US, while the other gives priority to locally educated graduates for limited residency spots.

Policy to fast-track US and out-of-province doctors

In June 2025, the Ontario government, citing a goal of cutting "red tape," announced new measures to make it easier for fully licensed US and Canadian doctors and nurses to practice in the province.

Me asking - Google Search -

Since 2018, the province has added nearly 100,000 nurses and 15,000 physicians. Where are they? We still have a shortage, and the shortage is still growing.

- Google Search Response -

Adding healthcare workers does not automatically solve the ongoing shortage, as the increased supply is offset by a combination of high attrition rates, worsening working conditions, and a growing and aging population. The issue is not just about adding more professionals, but also about retaining them in the public health system.

I have a feeling the next question will be the beginning of a Merry G Round trip. I don't believe they're doing much more than the thieves just sucking off the federal tit, and the hell with health care.

- Google Search -

What is the system BC uses to attract American doctors?

British Columbia's system to attract American doctors involves a targeted recruitment campaign and a new, direct licensing pathway that fast-tracks credential recognition for U.S.-trained doctors. The province is working with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC and other partners to enable U.S. doctors to become fully licensed without additional training or assessment. Additionally, it is conducting a marketing blitz in states like Washington, Oregon, and California to highlight job opportunities in areas with shortages.

Me asking - Google Search -

Why does Ontario not adopt the same system BC is using to attract doctors and nurses?

- Google Search Response -

A direct comparison between Ontario and British Columbia's (BC) healthcare recruitment strategies is complex due to differences in funding models, demographics, and political priorities. While BC has focused on financial incentives for family doctors and streamlined licensing for U.S.-trained professionals, Ontario's recruitment efforts primarily involve addressing regulatory barriers and investing in team-based primary care.

And there you have it, dear Ontarians, in my opinion, they are just plain not busting their arses much to acquire more medical personnel, Doctors, nurses, etc. in Ontario. Perhaps it's time we ask our dear leader what's up with that, eh?

WHERE ARE THEY?

Like I said yesterday, if Trumpo the fat 😡 💩 🧳 is thinking about putting Canadians in concentration camps,👮⚔️🗝🛖🛖🛖🛖 he will save a lot of money on us, he would only need one tent. ⛺️ We'll bring out our own complete with a woodstove 🪵🎛 in it.

Well, that will be enough babbling, better get that supply of whiskey, put on the sunglasses, bring the umbrella, and oh! Don't forget the picnic blanket to put under the old oak tree on top of the hill. "Paula! Please don't forget to bring out the boom box, the fiddle, and glasses, thank you. "NOW WE'S A' READY TO HAVE A PARTY WHEN THE FIREWORKS BEGIN!"

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

Thinking vs Reasoning

Thinking is one thing; reasoning is a very different critter altogether. It can be deceiving what could pop out of that box when you open it. Be careful when you open the box, eh!

You can think this and think that. Still, all that thinking without any confluence or integration and connection of *thoughts* is just a jumble, like word salad, or the output of an AI robot after one of its backup memory bank chips just got sublimated into atoms. Now it can only skip around back and forth at the point of default in its memory banks.

The result of such faulty processing is much like the TV commercial for Lavazza Coffee featuring the little robot that delivers cups of coffee and makes the mistake of sipping it. The result is kind of shocking to say the least! In its damaged state, lacking guidance, it will keep bouncing off the walls, indefinitely, like in - The Wondrous Toy - Christmas Song by PETER PAUL AND MARY.

Thinking vs Reasoning

Thinking is the broad, general process of using your mind to produce ideas, thoughts, and memories, while reasoning is a more specific type of thinking that uses logic and existing information to draw conclusions and solve problems. All reasoning is a form of thinking, but not all thinking is reasoning because thinking can be subjective, emotional, or illogical, like dreaming, while reasoning is always structured and logical.

Reasoning about what is right or wrong is a process of moral reasoning, which involves critically analyzing actions in terms of principles, duties, or societal norms. This process is influenced by a combination of logic, emotions, personal beliefs, and external factors, and can lead to subjective or conflicting conclusions depending on the individual and the situation. Philosophers and psychologists study moral reasoning, with different ethical theories like deontology or utilitarianism providing frameworks for making decisions.

And here is another instance of insanity, not just putting more people on the streets without assistance or any aid, like food, shelter, and medical help, Like I can rememebr vividly the stories about people just to die along with the cattle and other farm animals. Even dead people on the side of the road, or railroad tracks. I guess you flag-wavers with the funny cross want those days of suffering through the terrible droughts of the great depression.

That's not to mention the aftermath of the Second World War in wartorn Europe. Now it is about to return to the days without any aid, and care to keep body and soul together, and to add to misery, no medical care. IS THIS WHAT YOU, THE YOUNGER GENERATION, WANT FOR A FUTURE? More tin can g-d dictators. Knuckle-dragging geniuses, note on door says, IQ' NOT HOME! Come Back Later.

Carney mum on whether he saw Ontario's anti-tariff ad beforehand

PMO says there will be no further comment on the Ontario government ad that derailed U.S. trade talks

The question of whether or not the prime minister and his chief of staff saw and approved — either directly or tacitly — an Ontario government anti-tariff ad that set off U.S. President Donald Trump followed Mark Carney to Singapore on Tuesday. The Prime Minister's Office said there would be no further comment on the television ad, which last week led to the meltdown of sectoral trade negotiations with the United States.

Speaking on background, a senior federal official continued to place the responsibility for the marketing campaign on the government of Ontario Premier Doug Ford, despite the prime minister’s assurance that Ottawa is in charge of negotiations...

Which industry in each province is most threatened by tariffs?

As U.S. negotiations hit another snag, taxes on Canadian exports pile up

Before U.S. President Donald Trump terminated trade negotiations with Canada late Thursday night, premiers were clashing over which tariff-beleaguered industries should be prioritized.

With Ontario’s auto industry pitted against the canola industry of the prairies, and B.C. raising concerns that the lumber industry is not getting the attention it deserves, Team Canada was looking increasingly splintered. Trump's latest actions have resulted in a more united front across provincial borders. But as tariffs remain, so do those underlying tensions...
