TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡
Land of Whispering Pines 🌲
Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏
Well, the sun 🌅 is returning, and it is reasonably mild out there. I sat in my Green Space with my coffee for a bit, watching the morning sun rise above the trees. I was contemplating this day of October 18, 2025, trying to remember what was important about today. I thought about the dentist, that's 13 days away, Uuuuurg! So it isn't that, then BINGO! It hit me, like I twitched in my clothes instead of jumping off the road and getting run over by a northbound choo choo. 🚂🚃🚃🚇💨🙃
Today is the SECOND KICK at the bucket for NO KINGS DAY. (X 🫅☀️) All I can say is that this day, October 18, 2025, is going to go down in history.
🙏 PRAYER 🙏
Let us all pause here and take a moment to meditate and/or pray for all those souls out there protesting the autocrat in the White House. May they be guided by and protected from the forces of those who do not know empathy, or are incapable of feeling any human emotion, except for their own piece of Carrian meat suits with no souls. That's all these beings are worth, their rotten nothing, meat, containers for their bodies. The question should be, where will the first "pop! goes the weasel" come from? Casualty #1: One of The Orange Pus Ball's Dunce cadets or a demonstrator.
To be certain, THIS MAJOR COUNTRY-WIDE DEMONSTRATION will be in the mainstream news and will be posted on the latest update and developments when I do the news. Thank you for reading the Tree House News.
"SO! Eppp! What's up, Doc?" 🐰🌶
TODAY'S DISCUSSION:
FREEDOM OF CHOICE
- Google Search -
Freedom of choice is the ability to make decisions about one's own life and actions without being coerced by external forces like the law or other people. It is a fundamental human right that includes the autonomy to make personal choices regarding finances, healthcare, work, and relationships. While often associated with free will, freedom of choice can also be restricted by certain circumstances or by the need to not violate the freedoms of others...

My Opinion:
People, including immigrants, must learn that in the Western world, whatever your faith is, it's your own business, and you keep your business to yourself, your family, and your fellow followers or worshipers. No one is obliged to follow another's spiritual or religious tenets. Everyone on Earth has as many different faiths as there are stars in the heavens. How do you know what is right and what is not? You can only judge by weighing their actions in your own heart, or in an elected legislature representing the people where you live.
Obviously, there is no reason to kill anything unnecessarily without consideration of the value of life. It should be anyone harming another except in self-defense that should be punishable by all and any laws that govern the land

"Thou shalt not kill" is the sixth of the Ten Commandments, found in Exodus 20:13 and Deuteronomy 5:17. The commandment is interpreted to mean "Do not murder" and prohibits the unlawful taking of human life. It has been expanded by Jesus in the New Testament to include anger and hatred, and it underscores the sanctity of life and the importance of living in peace with others...

Trump meeting brings good news for Zelensky, but Kyiv’s real prize remains out of reach – for now
The relationship between US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky has unquestionably improved but the real prize Kyiv seeks seems out of its reach, for now.
After nine months of extraordinary diplomatic acrobatics and verbiage, Trump still prefers to give Russian President Vladimir Putin yet another chance to talk him around, over blunt military escalation.
But there were – among the fawning compliments and the conviction an elusive peace was near – bits of good news for Ukraine. Even Trump’s final word on the matter, a Truth Social post delivered as he left for Mar-a-Lago, suggested “They should stop where they are” – a ceasefire along current battle lines, suggesting something Kyiv could very much tolerate. “We have to stop where we are. This is important, to stop where we are, and then to speak,” Zelensky told CNN during a news conference after the meeting...

Canada’s ‘boycott America’ movement is hurting innocent bystanders
New York
—
Virginia Distillery CEO Gareth Moore was bullish on his company’s American single malt whisky sales north of the border when 2025 kicked off. But then demand crashed as the centuries-long friendship between the United States and Canada broke down amid bruised feelings over tariffs and President Donald Trump’s threat to make Canada the 51st US state.
“We were looking to triple the business. Instead, it collapsed to zero,” Moore told CNN in a phone interview. “It was almost like suddenly the whisky didn’t taste good because of where it’s from.” ...

These Niagara Region residents want a new amusement park to replace Marineland — without the animals
CBC spoke to residents of the Ontario region about what they'd like done with the sprawling property
It hasn't been determined what will happen to the sprawling property where now-shuttered Marineland sits in Niagara Falls, Ont. After the passing of the amusement park's owners, John Holer in 2018 and his wife and successor Marie Holer in 2024, the estate was placed in a trust. The 323-hectare property is believed to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
In the meantime, the fate of the 30 remaining beluga whales and other animals at the park on the 323-hectare property is also uncertain, after Marineland's request to the federal government to export the whales to China was turned down in recent weeks...
- Concerns about local economy without a park:
"Any type of zoo is potential that the animals can be mistreated. I would prefer not to see that, but it’d be nice to just have somewhere to go take our kids."
- Niagara Falls mayor wants tourist attraction:
"I would love to see someone come back and take the love that we all had for Marineland when I was a kid."

AI-related data centres use vast amounts of water. But gauging how much is a murky business
As tech companies spend billions on data centres, citizens around the world are starting to push back
On a dry, hot day this summer, Kathryn Barnwell, a retired English professor, marched up the road from her home in Nanaimo, B.C., to take another crack at the mayor.
Leonard Krog, a longtime friend of Barnwell’s, was standing by the entrance to a parched wooded lot, the proposed site for a data centre Krog has been backing.
“I really, really enjoin you to think about what this [data centre] could mean for your political career,” Barnwell said, barely looking him in the eye...
Krog, who has been mayor since 2018, sees the project as a chance to modernize the city’s economy. “The kind of jobs that would be attracted to this kind of facility are the jobs of the future,” he said...
