NEWS AGGREGATION & COMMENTARY
May Great Spirit bless π
Monday morning coming down, it appears like clear sky out there, and that infernal wind we've been having for the last couple of days has died off. It's about time. It was beating the π©out of my artificial palms and coconut tree in my Green Space, lucky they still have limbs.
I seem to be back to feeling as normal as this body is going to be, and I am thankful for that as long as I can still be functional and not so sick that it takes all my energy just to walk across the room.
That was a prime example of getting the flu on top of recovering from having my teeth extracted, then the GERD desides to act up as well, all at the same time. I was bedridden for nearly a month, except for when I was sitting here on the couch doing the news.
TODAY'S DISCUSSION:
VACCINES
DON'T BE A MORON π₯΄ by being an anti-vaxer and getting as sick as a squealing pig π·and passing it onto someone else, then they get ill and die. IF you don't get the shot and you get terribly sick, and or die, blame your own stupidity. I don't feel sorry for THOSE WHO WILL NOT TAKE THE PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES AGAINST THESE DEADLY VIRUSES. π¦ DON'T BE A DUM-DUM πΏ GET SMART, AND GET THE FLU SHOT*_ π
If they're too stupid south of the border to give out and take shots, the entire U.S. should be quarantined from Canada. With Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the BUTCHER, in charge, using the whole country as a petri dish. How do you like being a specimen in a petri dish? Well, ya voted for that piece of orange carrion meat, NAZI LOVER!
Now is the time to undo the wrong before the wrong gets you. I wish there were vaccines against stupidity. There are a lot of members of Congress that could use a shot of that antidote against Samurai Dumbness, especially those in the retirement homes they call Congress and the White Shπ© House, Home for elder demented people

Importance Of Vaccines
Vaccination is crucial for protecting individuals and communities by training the immune system to fight diseases, preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and death from infections like measles, polio, and COVID-19, and building "herd immunity" to shield vulnerable populations, proving safer and more effective than getting the actual disease. Vaccines stop outbreaks, safeguard future generations, and are a cornerstone of public health, saving millions of lives annually by preventing diseases that still exist globally.
Well, that will be about it for now from the Newsroom. Thank you for dropping by to read the latest in CONFUSION DELUSION WORLD NEWS. Hey, LOST! Follow us. π«°

Is Trump’s grip on the GOP weakening? These eight Republicans tested him in 2025
Washington
—
They are still the rarest of Republicans – those who have spoken out and stood up to President Donald Trump over the past year, willfully saying something he rarely hears: No. Even as most of the GOP faithful remains squarely behind the president or unwilling to publicly step out of line, the list of those confident enough to defy Trump over policy and politics is growing. It’s a new moment for Trump, who has kept a tight hold over his party for most of the last decade.
The stresses and strains of the upcoming midterm election year may show whether the fractures in Trump’s base are truly deepening. That, of course, is far from certain. Yet this group of eight Republicans is notable for how they’ve gone against the grain to openly challenge Trump...

Paramount’s new, hostile offer to Warner Bros. Discovery: Larry Ellison will personally guarantee $40 billion
Paramount has upped the ante in its hostile takeover bid for Warner Bros. Discovery, announcing Monday that Larry Ellison will personally guarantee the tens of billions of dollars he is putting up to bankroll the transaction. The Ellisons will also let shareholders peer into the finances of their family trust.
The Warner Bros. board of directors has rejected Paramount’s bid multiple times, opting instead to go with an offer from Netflix, which WBD says is more valuable. The board also said Paramount has misrepresented itself to WBD shareholders, calling into question the legitimacy of the deal’s “illusory” proposed financing.
To counteract that critique, Paramount said Oracle founder Larry Ellison – the father of Paramount CEO David Ellison – will guarantee all $40.4 billion of the equity he’s putting up to finance the $78 billion deal.
That’s a big guarantee, putting Larry Ellison on the hook for about a sixth of his roughly $250 billion net worth if something falls through.
Larry Ellison also agreed not to revoke his family trust, which could have complicated the potential financing of the deal, and Paramount is publishing records that confirm the trust owns 1.16 billion Oracle shares, which the WBD board called into question...

Gaza’s ceasefire has stalled as both sides drag their feet, leaving few countries willing to step up and help
U.S. President Donald Trump and negotiators will spend the Christmas break trying to salvage the process
Both sides of the miserable war in Gaza are dragging their feet on moving on to the next crucial phase of the ceasefire, leaving Palestinians in the territory to deal with the muck and sometimes deadly cold of winter with few reasons to hope that meaningful progress will come soon.
“Isreal needs to let us live,” said Mohamed Hassouna, 44, who has moved all of his belongings into a tent amid the pulverized concrete of what was once his neighbourhood near Gaza City. “They can be a country and we can be a country,” he told a videographer working for CBC News...

As cost of living climbs, a Vancouver shelter adapts to a rise in unhoused seniors
Specialized support workers are providing care to the elderly at Union Gospel Mission
Every year hundreds of seniors pass through the doors of Vancouver’s Union Gospel Mission (UGM) in the Downtown Eastside.
But since the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of seniors accessing the shelter’s services has been steadily increasing. Pre-pandemic, roughly one-quarter of people staying at the shelter were over the age of 55, according to UGM. Post-pandemic, that’s grown to one-third.
And as the population ages, their needs become more complex.

Canadian among fired workers from Grand Theft Auto studio says they just want their jobs back
Rockstar Games accused of union-busting after firing 34 in Canada and U.K. in October
The firing of several employees at the makers of the Grand Theft Auto video games came as a complete surprise, according to one of the Canadian workers who was let go this past fall.
"I had no idea what was going on. I was shell-shocked," said one of three game developers fired from Rockstar Toronto (actually in Oakville, Ont.). CBC News is not naming the developer out of fear of retaliation, including being blacklisted from future employment in the games industry. Thirty-one Rockstar employees working in the U.K. were fired the same day. Rockstar Games, which has multiple studios, primarily in the U.S., and U.K., alleges they were fired for "gross misconduct," and leaking company secrets.
