Morning, folks! Wow, late morning! I had more things to chase around before I could even get around to making the coffee. I finally got a few moments outside in my Green Space to sit and sip my coffee while contemplating things; for me, that's like praying or meditating.
Contemplating the different potentialities, negative or positive, in any given proposition. Will this idea make the curve or go over the precipice type of stuff? A lot of the time, I end up being correct; they choose the wrong button, and everything falls apart. And that's only because money robs greedy people of brains, and I'll leave that topic right there along with that pile of π©π©π©

Question: What is an Earth Angel?
AI Overview
An earth angel is a spiritual concept describing a person who is deeply empathetic, highly evolved, and feels a strong calling to help humanity. In everyday language, it also describes an exceptionally kind, selfless person who brings comfort to others. I have been in the business of helping others ever since I sobered up at 47; that was when I found the spiritual and scientific aspects of this material world. I have been doing social work, volunteering or paid, one way or another, since then. It is much like an obsessive-compulsive disorder, but it's one that comes from the heart, from truly caring for someone else rather than just yourself. Just a thought, at least I trust St Peter is keeping score correctly.

Spirituality and science can be two sides of the same coin
How studying neuroscience has guided my journey into secular spirituality
By Mashiyat Ahmed — Published February 5, 2024
The first time I was bullied was at religious school. Sitting meekly in the back of the classroom with my legs crossed and my mind disinterested in the piece of Arabic text on my lap, I spotted two girls glancing at me and sheepishly whispering something between themselves. Every other student had someone else to sit with; every other student seemed to grasp the scripture better than me.
I had been attending this class for months now, managing to achieve superficial progress and growing ever more skeptical with each religious history class. Even with my makeshift hijab and improvised Qur’anic accent, I felt foreign among my peers and distant from my teachers...

My Story: About discovering why I was different than most, I was mostly a loner because I didn't like what I felt from others at to close quarters. Annoying humanoids are to close around me.
Or I would get the whys, and would I cry over falling leaves in the fall or finding a dead mouse? And taking strays home—sometimes a humanoid, sometimes a dog or cat—I also had a pet raven.
And then there was the light side of things, so bright and cheery, like dancing among the stars, doing a sun dance, as a ballerina, or butterflies flying all around in the sunlight. Shrinks called it M
manic depression or bipolar disorder. I loved and still enjoy the highs. Sometimes I got them months ago, while I was so sick that I thought I was going to die. What would I have done without my sense of humor? That would be really boring.
Well, folks, that will be about it for today. Thank you for visiting and reading the Tree House News π‘
BREAKING NEWS RECAP:
JD Vance and the Trump team keep moving the goalposts on Iran
One of the Trump administration’s biggest problems in extracting itself from the Iran war is the list of very absolutist goals that President Donald Trump and his team laid out. The goals have included complete Iranian surrender, regime change, Iran never getting a nuclear weapon and ending Tehran’s support for its Middle East proxy groups like Hezbollah.
As the war — now in its sixth month — has dragged on, this list of goals has conspicuously shifted and been pared back. And Vice President JD Vance appears to have pared it back recently in a remarkable way, offering the latest indication that the administration might be preparing to settle for less — maybe even a lot less...
The president even claimed that Iran was already denuclearized.
In other words, Trump sounded a lot like a guy who knew he might not be able to cow Iran into accepting a really restrictive nuclear deal.

Trump is undermining his biggest accomplishment
The president’s executive order on vaccines is a desperate bid for conspiracy-minded voters.
It’s a remarkable reversal for a president who once treated vaccine development as one of the signature achievements of his first term.
President Donald Trump’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic was riddled with misinformation and chaos. But amid that dysfunction, his administration launched Operation Warp Speed, the public-private partnership that accelerated the development and distribution of Covid vaccines.
Trump called it a “monumental national achievement.” Even Joe Biden, who was running against him at the time, credited the administration when he got the shot. Six years later, Trump is trashing that legacy as he courts the most conspiracy-minded factions of the coalition that put him back in office.
Earlier this week, the president signed an executive order that recommended a reduction in childhood immunizations, down to 11 diseases from 18 previously recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention...
- It’s a desperate pitch to conspiracy theorists:
He turns idle chatter on the internet into official government records and undermines the serious work of historians, scientists, and prosecutors.

How Iowans feel about Trump's tariffs, Canada's treatment as Republicans vie for support
Trump dominated Iowa in 2024, but Canada is state's largest export market
This weekend, hundreds of thousands of people are attending the Iowa State Fair — a major attraction featuring several days of entertainment, a rodeo and even a life-size butter cow that's been carved every year since 1911.
Much like the Calgary Stampede in Canada, the Iowa State Fair is a crucial stop for politicians to meet voters, making it a hotbed for political debates — especially when U.S. midterms are coming up.
And this year, one of the topics on Iowans' minds is U.S. President Donald Trump's trade war. "This policy has been very chaotic, and our farmers have struggled to figure out what's going on," said Aaron Lehman, a fifth-generation family farmer and president of the Iowa Farmers Union...

UPDATE ON: Latest on how Carney is doing about equal trade among provinces?
AI Overview
Prime Minister Mark Carney has pushed to reduce internal trade barriers to build one unified Canadian economy, but progress has largely stalled past federal legislative steps. While Ottawa cleared federal hurdles, provincial cooperation remains uneven due to varying local political wills and regional exceptions.
