Great Spirit bless π
Good morning, another cloudy day and much cooler. I pray that this is not all of summer we're going to have π«️ π€’ I am so fed up with wet, clammy, cold, rainy, grey clouds from a limp dick effect, which I call a low jetstream that stays stuck over top of us like it has a bad case of constipation, sitting there and does nothing but throw penguin π§π© weather at us in July.
May we pause here for a moment and especially pray and/or meditate π for those in the storms south of the border, especially those struck by what appear to be destructive forces of nature of Biblical proportions? May we also send prayers and meditation for those in the West fighting wildfires? And also for the folks in Venezuela, and also including the wars in Gaza, genocide, Ukraine war dead and homeless, AS WILL BE MOST OF AMERICA BY THIS TIME NEXT YEAR. without any aid and/or support. AMEN!

Question: CHANGE OF GUARD
The phrase "change of guard" (or "changing of the guard") refers to a formal military ceremony where sentries on duty are replaced by a new batch.
Figuratively, it describes any major shift in leadership, staff, or administration within an organization or system.
The Literal Meaning (Military Ceremony)
Originally, this term refers to the precise, choreographed ritual where an outgoing group of soldiers (the "Old Guard") hands over the responsibility of protecting a major state institution to an incoming group (the "New Guard")...

All of the aftermath of what again appears to be catastrophes of Biblical Proportion. No Destruction on this scale before. Effective Population Reduction, whether planned or not?
Or is it just a cycle in nature, a change of guard on the evolutionary march of the species and their world, so to speak? I do pray the last guard, the orange one they kicked out, is sportin' a nice outline of a size 10 boot print on the backside of his pants when he gets to the precipice of yesterday's volcano π on his bicycle π² If he falls in... Well! One less bee π on a horse's π΄ π

I know! I was there, I was talkin' to the cat. I'm a bookie from the way from Moosenee, Ontario, to Tallahatchie County, USA, and that ain't no moose or gator crap either.
Crap! ya have to sometimes look at life like watching sarcastic cartoons π§♀️ππππ€‘ on TV πΊ Let it tickle your satirical funny bone. Believe me, it's a lot more fun than looking at it seriously all the time; that would drive me buggy πͺ². I wouldn't want to do that in a fifth-floor apartment π’. That could make for a mess at ground level π« ππ€£ Anyway, the Fairy Lady likes to take flight now and again.
That will be about it from me for the introduction and the topic of the day. Thank you for visiting and reading the Tree House News π‘

BREAKING NEWS RECAP:
America has been deeply divided before. Here's why today's divisions are different
At 250 years, America's (fault) lines are showing. Partisan and regional divisions now rival the most intense internal conflicts apart from the Civil War. The escalating tension between the red and blue political coalitions is permeating almost every aspect of American life, particularly under the pile-driver pressure of Donald Trump's polarizing and norm-breaking presidency. Even the commemoration of this momentous anniversary has split the country into the familiar antagonistic camps.
Conflict within a nation is a difficult concept to quantify, but many measures — the widening policy differences among the states; Trump's relentless confrontations with Democratic political leaders; the virtual disappearance of bipartisan cooperation in Congress; an uptick in political violence — suggest the US is operating at the high end of the scale.
The US has faced periods of heightened friction before and — except for the Civil War — has always found ways to manage, if not necessarily resolve, its differences. But several unique aspects now point toward intensifying and unpredictable division...

Washington, D.C., is not just a backdrop for Trump’s spectacles
The president is hoping to break a world record. The capital will pay the price.
Washington, D.C., makes a great movie set: the imposing Lincoln Memorial, the instantly recognizable White House, the obligatory cutaway shot of the Potomac River. That may be why President Donald Trump is so interested in using it as a backdrop to his increasingly grandiose spectacles.
So far in his second term, he’s staged a military parade through its streets, hosted a UFC fight on the White House South Lawn, driven his motorcade across the drained Reflecting Pool, delivered a political speech at a Freedom 250 celebration on the National Mall and increased the frequency of military flyovers.
- His latest stunt is an unprecedented 40-minute pyrotechnics show that aims to break the Guinness World Record.:
More than 850,000 fireworks — compared to the 7,000 at the 2025 show.

Ambassador Hoekstra wants American booze back on Canadian shelves next year
Gordie Howe bridge, fighter jets part of Independence Day remarks with political message
U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra's speech at his Fourth of July party in Ottawa included a political nudge aimed at Canada, with American F-35 fighter jets flying over the crowd and a comment about some provinces' bans on American booze. Hoekstra set a goal on stage outside his official residence to get American liquor back on Canadian shelves by his next Independence Day party.
"Next year, hopefully we can all take a toast of American bourbon legally in the province of Ontario," Hoekstra said. "And toast the friendship and the relationship between the United States and Canada."...

Several Ottawa city councillors and MPPs have signed an open letter calling on the province to make disaster relief funding available for residents facing financial burdens after last week’s storm.
On Canada Day, torrential rain in Ottawa forced groups all over the city to cancel activities as highways flooded and trees fell on roads. More than 3,200 basements flooded because of the storm, according to the City of Ottawa, and Jennifer Johnston's was one of them.
