Great Spirit bless 🙏
Good mawnin', eh! It's me in the Newsroom back at you again. Well, I did take five to go out in my Green Space with a fresh cup of coffee to enjoy the sun and much milder air. I know the other winter stuff isn't done with us yet, but at least whatever we get now won't last long once March rolls around. I can't complain much about February.
February was typical, with dry, cold, and bright, sunny days; we did get a few of those. So here on the Niagara Peninsula, the microclimate didn't fluctuate much, except for being colder than usual, about the usual for snow; the most we got was 16 inches in one night near the end of January, about 20 inches altogether. Now, February 28, 2026, it's green grass.
Hey there, "Billy! Better put the snow shovel ❄️ away and get the lawn mower 🛵 out!" Not quite yet, but closer. I do remember the rider mower back home, with a twelve-pack of cold beer 🍺 in a cooler tied to the back, in 90°F, the sun beating on my back. I enjoyed being outdoors, and I still do. That will be enough weather report for today. Thank you for reading the Tree House News 🏡
"Stick around, there's more to come!"

Question: Organised crime stealing from the federal government
🔹AI Overview
CANADIAN Gov.
- .Organized crime groups in Canada steal from the federal government and exploit government systems through various financial crimes, fraud schemes, and infiltration attempts. A key example was the exploitation of COVID-19 pandemic relief programs.
- CBC -
Methods of Theft and Exploitation:
Pandemic Relief Fraud:
Organized crime groups "knowingly and actively" exploited federal pandemic benefit programs like the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB). The Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) received over 30,000 suspicious transaction reports referencing COVID-related benefits, many of which also involved human trafficking and drug offences.
- Infiltration of Government and Law Enforcement:
- Financial Crimes:
- Money laundering:
- Corporate, investment, and mass marketing fraud.
- Identity theft.
- Scam compounds, such as "pig butchering" cryptocurrency scams that target individuals but involve large-scale illicit financial flows.
- Trade-based Money Laundering and Smuggling:
Government Response and Recent MEASURES
- New Financial Crimes Agency:
- Increased Funding and Personnel:
- Stricter Laws and Penalties:
- Enhanced Information Sharing:
- National Action Plan on Auto Theft:

In My Opinion:
Corporate Greed is just another way to say Organised Crime. It comes complete with a guidebook on manipulating the government and the people's personal bank accounts, as well as possibly billions of dollars annually from the feds. Then they're actually stealing the people's money. G.T.P.M. = Grand Theft People's Money. "Good Going, P.M. Carney, on catching some of these corporate thieves lately! I give thanks where thanks is due." *_

NASA abruptly changes its roadmap to putting boots back on the moon
NASA on Friday announced an abrupt change to its pathway to getting astronauts back on the lunar surface, opting to add in an additional crewed test flight before attempting to land.
Space agency officials said that “Artemis III” — the mission name that had previously been used to refer to a moon landing slated to happen no earlier than 2028 — will now be a different mission entirely, one that involves launching a crewed NASA capsule to Earth orbit to dock with at least one prototype lunar lander vehicle made by SpaceX or Blue Origin. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said he hopes the mission will get off the ground in 2027.
The moon landing mission, still slated for 2028, will now be referred to as “Artemis IV.” Isaacman said the agency is in fact pursuing up to two moon landings in 2028...

Tracking the firings, resignations and other impacts from the Epstein files
The US government’s release of its Epstein files has set off tremors among the world’s elite. A former prince was stripped of his title and arrested. Ambassadors have been sacked and also arrested. One of America’s most prominent lawyers plans to resign; another stepped down as the head of a major New York law firm. At least one CEO resigned as a result of his long friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted on Florida state charges of soliciting prostitution of a minor in a controversial 2008 plea deal.
Even after his conviction, Epstein maintained relationships with some of the world’s elite in business, government, academia and entertainment — until his arrest in July 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges...

Block lays off 4,000 workers citing AI. But how much does AI actually have to do with it?
Tech experts say pandemic overhiring and overly-ambitious AI claims may have role in industry layoffs
Tech company Block, the parent company of payment services Square and Cash App, said it would lay off some 40 per cent of its employees, citing gains in artificial intelligence as the reason. But some in the tech industry aren’t convinced. In a letter posted to the social media platform X on Thursday, Block CEO Jack Dorsey said the decision wasn’t coming because the company is in any kind of trouble, but because AI tools are capable of doing more.
“We're already seeing that the intelligence tools we’re creating and using, paired with smaller and flatter teams, are enabling a new way of working which fundamentally changes what it means to build and run a company,” the CEO, who also founded Twitter, wrote. Dorsey added he could have cut jobs slowly or do it at once and be “honest about where we are and act on it now.” ...
