TREE HOUSE NEWS🏡

Land of The Whispering Pines🌲

Good morning! I pray that you all be well, at peace, provided for, and blessed🙏🌅

Well, what do you know? It's a sunny☀️ morning with normal seasonal temperatures out there. I do pray that the great scrotum-sagging, (jetstream-sagging) time is over. "Someone hand me a couple of tent poles, please!"⛺️ Looking so forward to going out in my green space and listening to the lazy hum and buzz of insects, crickets, grasshoppers, katydids, and the May Flies, which should be out as soon as it's warm at night. Then you get the moths and other night-flying insects, and so on.🦋🦗🐝🐞🐜

Many times through the winter months, especially on cloudy days, lots of those this year, I turn all the LED lights in the house on for a semblance of bright sun, and I now and again visit YouTube nature videos to break the monotony. That is also the reason I greened up the balcony with artificial plants.

I can look out from the kitchen table through the sliding glass doors on a bright sunny day, and it looks inviting, like a penthouse terrace somewhere in the Mediterranean. Won't be going south of the border for a while. Peaceful and safe places in the tropics seem to be getting scarcer these days. So I brought the tropics to us.

In the summer, I get the bonus of a green background of trees across the driveway. Thus, The Tree House,🌞 like I said yesterday. Back in the day, we used to shoot off our mouths🫦 and tend to our beeswax, but now they shoot off their guns and dynamite💣 at everyone else's beeswax. 😢 DO YOU KNOW HOW SILLY THAT LOOKS? If you stand outside the human race, let's say from orbit somewhere where you can observe the entire human race as a whole, and see all the STUPIDITY of being HELL BENT ON GENOCIDE? What kind of butt hole dumb, dumb,🗿 donkey sh-t💩 is that? And we say we are in a civilised society? If what's going on out there is sanity, then I'm the Pope's sister. Hi ROB!👼

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

SILLY HUMANS

Would that not be a lot easier to put a patch on than?

"YES, we are on The Eve Of Destruction!" The only thing holding back the big bang is that Putin is too busy smirking in his beer, watching Lady Liberty disrobe herself like a cheap prostitute and the Orange Menace as her pimp. My apologies if that may hurt anyone, I know that hurt, it hurts me deeply as well. America was my second home.

Back then, there was no border for Metis. Now, they probably would send me to El Salvador for being French, but I look more Hispanic and injun mixture in color, without disrespect meant to my Native Amarican brothers and sisters, But help us all, G-d, IT IS THE TRUTH.

BREAKING NEWS:

Trump, in a major concession, says the tariff on China should be 80% — but will leave it up to Bessent

President Donald Trump on Friday set negotiating terms for his administration’s first discussions with China, which are set to take place in Geneva this weekend.

In a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump appeared to lay out his demands — and concessions — for the meeting between US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and their Chinese counterparts. Trump said China must import more US goods, and in return, he believes the United States should lower its 145% tariff on most Chinese goods to 80%.

“CHINA SHOULD OPEN UP ITS MARKET TO USA — WOULD BE SO GOOD FOR THEM!!! CLOSED MARKETS DON’T WORK ANYMORE!!!,” Trump posted.

  • The president made a major concession to Beijing ahead of trade talks between the two countries this weekend
  • Analysis Trump’s first trade ‘deal’ doesn’t bode well for the rest of the world
  • Analysis The UK trade agreement was the easy part. China will be exponentially harder

Internal FAA report downplayed risks of data outage affecting Newark air traffic controllers

Planes are parked at Newark Liberty International Airport on Tuesday, as flight delays and cancellations continued at the airport.

Before the FAA moved air traffic controllers who oversee the Newark Liberty International Airport airspace to a new site in Philadelphia last year, the agency’s experts concluded the odds of a dangerous communications breakdown were extremely unlikely: 1 in 11 million, according to an internal report obtained by CNN.

In reality, the safety concerns officials downplayed appear to have occurred multiple times since the new system went into place last summer, according to multiple controllers.

Data outages – including a failure of about 90 seconds of radar and radio service last week – have repeatedly left controllers without the ability to see the locations of planes they were tracking. The problems led to several controllers taking trauma leave from work and sparked the massive flight delays and cancellations roiled Newark over the last week.

With measles outbreaks growing in Canada, this mother pleads with parents to vaccinate

Measles outbreaks are growing in Ontario, Alberta, and cases rising in Saskatchewan

Rebecca Archer lovingly places a pair of small glasses on a shelf filled with memorabilia like trinkets and photos. They belonged to her 10-year-old daughter, Renae, who suddenly died after a measles infection.

"She was just really intelligent. Just a really happy child, always smiling," she remembers.

Renae was just five months old when she got the measles – too young to be vaccinated, but unable to avoid being exposed during an outbreak in Manchester, England, in 2013.

Maybe you Nonevaxers don't care about your health or your life, at least have respect for those who do value their health and their lives, GET THE DAMNE SHOT! Dumb, dumb! Oil prices are down. It means something different in Canada vs. the U.S

Lower prices due to market concerns of low demand and high supply Pumpjacks draw out oil and gas from well heads near Calgary in April 2023. Canada has the third-largest oil reserves in the world and is the world's fourth-largest oil producer.

A steep drop in oil prices in the first months of the year has undermined any plans for oil companies to "drill, baby drill."

But reaction to the plunging price of crude has played out differently in Canada versus the U.S, with companies south of the border eyeing production cuts while the Canadian sector holds steady.

Since the beginning of the year, the benchmark price of a barrel of oil has tumbled from a high of $80 US a barrel to around $60 US this week.

Greetings, Everyone! Thank you for visiting!
It's Friday, and on the Niagara Peninsula it's sunny with clear skies and a temperature of 15C

degrees Celsius, or about 62°F. That's a bit below normal but nice for a change.
Two nights ago, the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team beat the defending champion Florida Panthers in the second game of the second round of the NHL Playoffs for the Stanley Cup. The Leafs lead the series 2- 0.

What do you think of Cindy's topic, "Silly Humans?" Are we humans silly, or do we look at every situation or decision confronting us and choose a course of action after applying critical thinking and considering which way will do the most good for the most people? If we ought to think more about what is best for us and our families, the nation, or the world when making a single decision, would we do otherwise?

Nobody is isolated from the rest of the world. Whatever we decide about anything affects others we can't see. The people who produce our food, manufacture our medicine, make our electronic devices, drive the delivery trucks, fly the cargo airplanes, or stock the shelves are usually unseen by the consumer. Decisions about consumer goods short of a boycott seldom touch thousands of people. But decisions about being vaccinated against contagious diseases that can make a person seriously ill, or cause death or disability, as is the case with measles or COVID-19, definitely affect anyone in the area of the infected person.

It's our duty to be good citizens and not subject our fellow citizens to measles, COVID-19, or an illness that can be prevented or its effects diminished by inoculation.

Please get your measles shot and consider how to protect your children from this awful illness.

Thank you for hearing me out.
"President Donald Trump on Friday set negotiating terms for his administration's first discussions with China, which are set to take place in Geneva this weekend." Or so the news Cindy posted says.

"Trump, in a major concession, says the tariff on China should be 80% — but will leave it up to Bessent" Really? What kind of terms does Trump think he's setting after he pounds his chest and raises the tariff on Chinese goods coming into America to 145%, then drops it to 80%, without getting anything in return? That's giving China a 44.827% markdown on America's tariff, and America got nothing for it! That's quite an about-face from Trump's remark made to the press earlier this week that every nation is, "...kissing my ass..." to make a trade deal.

  2. What kind of master negotiator and deal maker folds like yesterday's newspaper before he sits at the negotiating table? This is not negotiation or deal-making. It's Tr-mp pissing on his shoes again and groveling before China to enter into negotiations. Who is missing whose ass here?

To deflect any blame for a worse deal from himself, Trump sent Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and the U.S. Trade Representative to Geneva to meet with the Chinese delegation. If no deal is made, or all that the Chinese offer is a deal worse than anything Trump has imagined, Bessent will get the blame.
Trump pissed on his shoes and he will blame Bessent. The wages of a toady are a toss under the bus.
    Who is sick of winning?

    Reply, The Fairy Lady:

I would sooner think they are silly humans that will wake up before they get caught up in the meat grinder greed. Silly humans who have lost their way, and their values, compassion, caring, and empathy for one another. Or are we going back to worshiping golden calves on a pedestal again?

Neuroticism personality trait characterized by a tendency to experience negative emotions and vulnerability to stress, has been linked to an increased risk of developing dementia, particularly Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Studies suggest that individuals with higher neuroticism scores may experience worse cognitive performance, steeper cognitive decline, and a greater likelihood of pre-dementia syndromes.
