TREE HOUSE NEWS🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

I wonder how things are a-doin' in the Kink Orange Pus Bag's land of the drips and cockroaches this mornin'. I wonder whose sandwich those worms are trying to worm their way into this mornin'. That's Okay, they warsh it down with orange Kool-Aid.

I wonder what happens when one of his Gestapo-lets gets socked in the nose with a boxing glove with rock in it and goes home a cryin' to mama. Or, they have no ID and are carryin' arms? Any armed civilian not authorized to carry a weapon by law enforcement gets arrested for acts of terrorism. You've got to RESIST! Using the democratic law under the Constitution of America. Man! None of this shoddy, shady, manipulative, thieving, lying, sadistic sack of useless monkey sh-t.

Got that off my chest, God Save our Queen Elizabeth, she was an angel compared to this sack of monkey sh-t. Now that I have the last kick at the can, I can take my kicking boots off and go on with my day.

As for the weather! I was not impressed. It was cloudy and cool, so I wore my sweater and only sat long enough to have a couple of sips of coffee, listening to the birds as I enjoyed a little of the herb to loosen up for the day. The only other news from the Newsroom is that I am now here at the keyboard and ready to continue the discussion of the day. Forget the Russians, blame the weather on Trump; he and his minions are sure good at starting sh-t storms.*_

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

RESIST TRUMP

HOW WE RESIST TRUMP AND HIS EXTREME AGENDA

By Congressman..

Since Election Day, many people have asked me what they might do to support those of us in Congress who are ready and willing to stand up and fight the Trump agenda.

My answer starts with a fundamental belief that the 240-year-old institutions of our government, in particular, our systems of checks and balances, were, in part, created with the precise goal of averting tyranny. These institutions can only function properly, however, when our country’s leaders work vigorously to ensure that they do, and when citizens remain fully engaged in the process.

Now more than ever, with a President-elect who threatens to undermine and even delegitimize those institutions—and in doing so, to damage the very soul of our liberal democracy—I implore everyone to help our country help itself.

We cannot wait four years to vote Mr. Trump out of office, as members of the GOP Senate and House Majorities have already stated that they will facilitate the Trump agenda, even if they weren’t supporters of his during the campaign.

So we must do everything we can to stop Trump and his extreme agenda now. We do this by:

1. Holding him accountable for the tenor and tactics of his campaign, as well as his

past and ongoing deplorable personal, professional and political conduct;

2. Waging fierce battles against every regressive action he takes—from personnel

appointments to his legislative program—in order to thwart or at least slow them

down;

3. Exposing his Republican enablers in Congress, and voting them out of office in 2018, with the goal of taking back either the House or the Senate for Democratic control.

To achieve this, we must keep our eyes on two important goals: depressing Trump’s public support and dividing the Congressional GOP from him and from each other. To understand how the public might help those of us in Congress achieve this, it is first necessary to explain what procedural tools we have at our disposal to resist him

legislatively.

The House of Representatives is set up to facilitate majority rule. This can’t be sugarcoated: we have very few parliamentary tools available to us if the GOP Majority seeks to minimize the Minority’s influence – and they will.

We have a few minor floor procedures like “discharge petitions,” and, usually, one floor amendment (the “Motion to Recommit”), but even these require some Republican support, which will be very hard to cultivate in this environment.

We will, of course, make the most of these and any other...

BREAKING NEWS:

Trump’s ‘big, beautiful bill’ might be unloved and a mess – but it will still probably pass

President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” – which he on Thursday dubbed the “ultimate codification” of the MAGA agenda – is a paradox that shows how power works in a broken political system in which he’s the single greatest force.

As it stumbles through the Senate, the bill – which extends vast tax cuts, hikes border security funding and includes historic cuts to Medicaid – is perpetually on life support as chunks keep getting culled to fit the chamber’s budgetary rules.

As it stumbles through the Senate, the bill – which extends vast tax cuts, hikes border security funding and includes historic cuts to Medicaid – is perpetually on life support as chunks keep getting culled to fit the chamber’s budgetary rules.

Who can really say what is left in the bill after days of Senate wrangling? It’s barely recognizable from the one the House passed. That’s trouble for Speaker Mike Johnson, who is under great pressure to get whatever the Senate produces back through the House before Trump’s July Fourth deadline. As Republicans race to pass the bill, those in swing seats may be casting a vote that they can’t avoid but that could cost them their jobs.

It’s possible the measure could become one of those presidential vanity projects that lose the House majority, if Democrats flip the chamber in next year’s midterm elections.

The MAGA agenda measure has become imperative to Trump’s prestige. It’s too big and beautiful to fail. Trump is even more sensitive to such markers of success than most presidents. And recent history suggests his hold over the GOP base may cause most holdouts to cave in the end.

  • The bill is the key to enshrining MAGA in American life...

‘We are not safe in America today:’ These American citizens say they were detained by ICE

Elzon Lemus is always on the road for work, traveling from one place to another.

But ever since federal immigration officers pulled the electrician over as he was driving to his first job of the day earlier this month in Nassau County, New York, Lemus has been on high alert, limiting his travel around town out of fear, he said — despite being a US citizen. On June 3, Lemus says he was briefly detained during a traffic stop by federal agents because he resembled someone the agents were looking for, they told him and video from the encounter shows.

Lemus’ arrest, and other reports of American citizens being detained by immigration officials, highlights growing concerns over racial profiling and constitutional rights — for both the documented and undocumented — as the Trump administration’s broad mass deportation crackdown takes aim at people of all ages from children and families to suspected criminals by detaining people outside courtroom hearings, during traffic stops and in workplace sweeps...

CANADIAN NEWS:

St. Clare's internal medicine doctors give mass resignation notice, warn of 'impending crisis'

Physicians say situation has become 'unsafe' for patient care

Five doctors at a St. John's hospital have tendered a joint notice of resignation, saying their work environment has become "unsafe for both patient care and provider well-being," CBC Investigates has learned.

The doctors make up the internal medicine department at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital — responsible for a wide range of critical services provided for both emergency patients and those admitted to the hospital. The letter says the doctors will not be performing any duties outside their contractual obligations — no evenings or weekends — starting on July 1, until their resignation takes effect on Oct. 1.

"It has become increasingly clear to them that continuing under the current model would further compromise patient safety and the already fragile well-being of the team," reads the letter, written by lawyer Kyle Rees of O'Dea Earle and sent to the provincial health authority's executive on Monday...

Canada's energy minister on pipelines, Bill C-5 controversy

Canada's energy and natural resources minister Tim Hodgson is in charge of an extremely important file for the federal government.

That's because Prime Minister Carney campaigned on getting big energy and resources projects done, boosting Canada's economy and extracting us from our close relationship with the U.S. He talks to host Jayme Poisson about the controversial piece of legislation, Bill C-5, that would allow the government to fast track projects

IN BIRTHRIGHT CASE, SUPREME COURT LIMITS POWER OF JUDGES TO BLOCK TRUMP POLICIES

    - The ruling clears a major hurdle to President Trump’s agenda and could reshape American citizenship, at least temporarily, as lower court challenges proceed. -

The Supreme Court agreed on Friday to allow President Trump to end birthright citizenship in some parts of the country, even as legal challenges to the constitutionality of the move proceed in other regions.

The 6-to-3 decision, which was written by Justice Amy Coney Barrett and split along ideological lines, is a major victory for Mr. Trump, and may allow how citizenship is granted in the United States to be reshaped, even temporarily.

The order will not go into effect for 30 days, the justices said in their opinion, allowing its legality to be contested further. The justices also did not address the underlying constitutionality of the president’s order to curtail birthright citizenship, potentially leaving that issue for another day.

The court’s ruling also appeared to upend the ability of single federal judges to freeze policies across the country, a powerful tool that has been used frequently in recent years to block policies instituted by Democratic and Republican administrations.

Justices across the ideological spectrum had been critical of these so-called nationwide injunctions, arguing that they encouraged judge-shopping and improperly circumvented the political process by allowing one judge to halt a policy nationwide.

The surprise decision means that an executive order signed by Mr. Trump ending the practice of extending citizenship to the children of undocumented immigrants born in the United States would be set to take effect in 30 days in the 28 states that have not challenged the measure.

  2. Comment, Paula Koval:

Good afternoon, Everyone! Thank you for visiting.

It’s another Friday, and the master of chaos, discord, and unnecessary fights among allies is up to his usual stuff. I don’t recall seeing anyone thrive on evil, sadism, misery, and malevolence like America’s answer to Jabba the Hutt does.

Someday, I will no longer be among the living. All of us die. Perhaps his reign of misery will come to an end sooner. Let us pray…
On June 22, 2025, forces of the United States Navy and Air Force attacked the facilities in Iran known to produce or support the production of uranium of sufficient purity for use in nuclear weapons. At the strong urging of President Netanyahu of Israel, and the fact that the nation of Iran has taken many oaths to wipe Israel off the map, and after consultation with America’s military leaders, Trump gave the go-ahead to do the bombing.

I won’t take a position on whether this attack was right or wrong. I am most concerned about Iran’s response and how it will come to America. Israelis take vengeance when attacked. Iranians take vengeance when attacked. American forces have attacked Iran. Iran’s hate for America goes back to 1953 when the CIA helped return Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi to the throne as ruler of Iran.

To that, they add the humbling experience of Trump offering them an unconditional surrender or annihilation. They stood their ground and had their military facilities and cities bombed by Israeli forces, their physicists and others in charge of making an atom bomb killed by rockets hitting their homes, innocent civilians killed and injured; they will seek revenge on America an the time, place, and in the way of their choosing.

Many North Americans feel uneasy when they see someone wearing a burqa, an outfit that covers the entire body from head to the ground and has a small opening for the eyes. They don’t know who is inside the burqa and if they have a bomb or other weapons. People fear what they can’t see, especially if they know it has a history of violence or death, including suicide bombings.

America also has a great number of armed men in many cities who wear gaiters around their necks; they keep them pulled up over their faces so you can’t see who they are. They wear sunglasses or other eyeshields and may wear another mask. They don’t wear a uniform, just jeans and long-sleeved shirts with surgical gloves. They carry sidearms and automatic weapons, batons, flash/bang grenades, tear gas, pepper spray, and so on.'

    Sleep well, kids.

    1. Earlier today, I learned that the European Union intends to tax all American providers of digital services whose services enter the EU. The financial genius in the Offal Office is unhappy about that.

Today, Canada announced that it was also imposing a 3% sales tax on digital services sold by American companies in Canada. Being the cool, analytical businessman he fooled so many Americans into thinking he is, he got pissy and broke off tariff talks with Canada.

Bear in mind that the master of disaster had but one problem with Canada as a trading partner. It wasn’t dumping their goods in American markets. It wasn’t government subsidies to manufacturers (that’s China). And it wasn’t manipulation of the value of the Canadian dollar. It was the balance of trade between the U.S. and Canada. Canada sold more to American businesses than it bought from them.

Whose fault is that? The solution: Start a trade war with Canada, wreck a close relationship with a good, dependable, close neighbor, and keep making it worse.

“Big Beautiful Bill,” as he calls it, in whatever form it gets through Congress, will hurt millions of Americans, many of whom have voted Republican for generations. I wonder how they will fare without Medicare, Medicaid, Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program, a minimum wage stuck at $7.25 an hour, no more programs to help coal miners’ health and safety, no more free COVID or flu shots to those who can’t afford them, and the list goes on.

You get what you vote for. I chuckle when I think of the names some folks called Kamala Harris. Maybe she wasn’t the best candidate, but I doubt she took delight in inflicting pain like the Republican Party, Musk, and DOGE do. And the Supreme Court is biased more than me.
      Thank you for reading.
      Have a pleasant weekend!
