I went directly to making the coffee, then headed out to my green space, which is lovely in the morning just as the sun comes up. Not a sound except for a couple of birds. Peaceful. I'm thinking. Such beauty, peace, and silence, along with the golden sun rising over the trees, and the misty blue sky. That is when, in my opinion, one truly comes to understand the essence of nature. The perfect harmony until the noise starts. Man made noise. It's like the news, the silence before you turn on the TV, then the horror movie begins. Get the popcorn, Ma! If you know what I mean. Why couldn't it be the golden sunshine and the birds all the time?

Deteriorating Human Values

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, how do you know the tree really fell? The tree would know it, and you don't have to know, unless you're a botanist. Then curiosity prevails, and you just can't resist poking it with a stick. That's Science.

But take away all sanity, and you poke the beast, just to make it a more aggressive creature. Then, if you make the beast appear sane, creating confusion left unchecked, you will have an insane asylum for a government and a nation that has normalized aberrant behavior.

Desensitization, demoralization, sadism, and now even pedophilia are becoming a possible legal requisition, labor camps, not just for immigrants, but for whoever they can grab off the street. And the desperate will sell their soul to the company store. This new bizarro system is not only creeping its way around like a cancer, with no restraints, the dam is bursting. ... Psychologically, dead bodies become only digital figures on the monitor of a video game. Real bodies attract real flies and carry real diseases. With all the AID PROGRAMS being essentially shut down, who's going to collect all the dead bodies in the spring? And who is going to look after the ATOMIC STOCKPILES of missiles? Let them blow up in their silos wherever they sit for lack of maintenance?

If suffering is paying for your sins, then I think my tab at this cheap hotel has been paid in full, and at any other cheap motel along the rest of the way to Saint Peter's Gate.

Just as penance means redeeming oneself for one's wrongs, I have a feeling that it's a rare occasion, and Trumpo and a few of his dunce brigade do not appear to be on that list.

Do you remember just sitting under a tree with your knees tucked under your chin and your hands crossed around your legs, idly looking at the bright colored flowers dotting the tall green grass in the field next to you? The birds are singing their merry melody, you feel the warm sun on your cheek, and your hair ruffling in the cool breeze. You close your eyes and daydream of exotic places as you hear the sound of a nearby gull and hear the waves on the beach at your feet. The crickets are chirping in the grass and the cicadas buzzing in the trees above you, and all is well in the world.
