TREE HOUSE NEWS🏡

Land of Whispering Pines

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

Yesterday was another sunny but cool day, with only a light breeze in my green space, bathed in the early morning sunlight that still retains warmth despite the cool air. It was still pleasant enough to sit out here with my coffee, just wearing a sweater. Today is supposed to be a carbon copy of yesterday. I have been here for seven years now in the Niagara Peninsula, and I do think this is about the best place in all of Canada to retire. Eh, me retire? The only thing that retired on me was the physical part, which mostly seems to be enjoying squashing couch cushions lately; the mental and spiritual aspects are still doing quite well, playing tag while waiting for the body to catch up.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION

psychogenic Pain

- Google Search -

Is psychogenic pain serious?

Even when pain isn't severe, it can still be a serious problem. Over time, chronic pain can seriously impact your health and well-being. In addition to how pain changes the way your nervous system functions, it can take a toll on your mental health in other ways. Anxiety and depression are common complications of chronic pain. All these factors combined mean that chronic pain is ultimately serious over time and needs diagnosis and treatment.

It's not really that bad, though. I believe that once my bad teeth are gone, I will be more relaxed from all this pain I've been through for the past three years. Maybe get some respite from feeling like the quivering, in-pain piece of meat I have been on and off for the last four years.

I love and appreciate it so much, and I feel tears of gratitude for those times when I have no discomfort. It feels like HEAVEN.

Yesterday, if it wasn't my stomach acting up, I was experiencing discomfort in my teeth, like a couple of gremlins playing Whack-a-Mole inside of me. So, when I feel pain in that way, my mood tends to sink to the bottom of my boots.

SO! If I got carried away a little incoherently in yesterday's news, forgive me. So far, I have been at the mercy of all this pain; now I will have to learn to be the master over it. I have to fight, or I will succumb. There is only so much a body can take. I wish I could eat a lot of beans and simply fart it all out of my Butt hole and get it over with. It's 1:26 AM. The soreness in my teeth has subsided, although it's intermittent, like a traffic light. Now I have 💩 stomachache syndrome.

BREAKING NEWS:

October 8, 2025 - Israel and Hamas ceasefire agreement

What We Covered Here

Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of a US-brokered ceasefire framework that will allow for the swift release of all hostages held in Gaza, Israeli withdrawal to an agreed point, and the release of some Palestinian prisoners.

President Donald Trump said the hostages are likely to be released on Monday. His announcement of the agreement did not address some sticking points in the proposal, including Hamas disarmament and the future governance of Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the agreement was a "diplomatic success and a national and moral victory" for his country. Hamas thanked Trump and all mediators involved: Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey.

Families of Israeli hostages held in Gaza and hostages previously released by Hamas celebrated the news. Palestinians in Gaza celebrated the agreement, cautiously hoping it would bring an end to Israel's war...

'Everyone's just getting destroyed': MTG calls on Johnson to bring House back to DC and rails on GOP handling of health care

GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene broke sharply with her party leaders on Wednesday as they tried to project a united front in the deepening standoff with Democrats over health care and the government shutdown, calling on Speaker Mike Johnson to bring the House back into session and warning that Americans would be hammered by higher costs if her party doesn't help right the ship.

Greene, a staunchly conservative Georgia Republican, warned that her party would face backlash from voters if rising health care costs are not addressed, underscoring the growing rift between the prominent Trump ally and GOP leaders.

"Everyone's just getting destroyed," Greene told CNN in an exclusive, wide-ranging interview from her House office. "Look, Democrats, you created this mess. Republicans, you have no solutions. You haven't come up with a new plan in place, and we're not even talking about it, and it is hurting so many people."...

National Guard troops have started their mission in Chicago area, official says, as court showdowns over deployments loom

Members of the Texas National Guard have deployed into the greater Chicago area, an official said Wednesday night, as lawyers prepare for critical court hearings on federalized troops 2,000 miles away from each other amid an ongoing battle between President Donald Trump and Democratic-led cities.

The Trump administration is tying planned deployments in Chicago and Portland, Oregon, to increasingly tense protests outside Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities, as well as citing the shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas. Two ICE detainees were killed there. Trump has called it an attack on law enforcement.

The Texas guardsmen are now deployed on their official mission of protecting US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other US Government personnel in the Chicago area, a US Northern Command spokesperson told CNN Wednesday night. The spokesperson was unable to share any additional detail on where exactly the troops were...

James Comey’s long, strange trip into the jaws of Donald Trump’s campaign of retribution

Former FBI Director James Comey wasn’t always atop President Donald Trump’s enemies list.

“You’ve had one heck of a year,” Trump, then the president-elect, said to Comey in January 2017, the first time they met face-to-face privately at Trump Tower in New York. Trump told Comey he had a “great reputation” and handled the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server “honorably,” according to Comey’s re-telling of their meeting in his 2018 memoir.

That might have been the high point of their relationship.

Moments later, the FBI director told Trump for the first time about the infamous “Steele dossier,” which alleged that Trump and his campaign colluded with the Russians to win the 2016 election. It was a conversation that would ultimately send Comey spiraling down the path to becoming one of Trump’s chief villains...

'We will get an even better deal,' Carney says after Oval Office meeting with Trump

Carney says Canada-U.S. officials are currently 'negotiating terms' of a deal on tariffs

Prime Minister Mark Carney said Wednesday Canadian and American officials are currently "negotiating terms" of a deal on tariffs a day after he met with the U.S. president to try and bring the trade war to a close — and Canada will come out ahead when the two sides come to an agreement.

Speaking in question period while facing pointed questions from the Opposition about what he accomplished out of his Oval Office sit-down with U.S. President Donald Trump, Carney said Canada already "has the best deal with the Americans" — most products are still being sold into the U.S. tariff-free despite Trump's trade action — and "we will get an even better deal." "We are still negotiating further gains in major sectors," Carney said, after he and the president had what he described as a "meeting of the minds."

"As we speak, our team is negotiating. This is not just words. We will get a deal."
