TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

I got up this morning, not quite fully charged. 🪫 Only 56.01% charged, my charger must have gone defunct, ya know, like the Flunky Medonti flunking skydiving class. But I'm feeling about as well as I can remember feeling something that resembles normal. Those fleeting moments, I picture in my mind the time I found a baby field mouse with no fur, shivering from the cold. I put it in one of those old wooden-match matchboxes, stuffed with cotton batting, with the lid half-closed to keep it warm. How comfortable, safe, and protected that little mouse 🐭 must have felt, I thought. I felt like I was the mouse. Empathy.

I wish I could feel like that again, instead of seeing the world through a smog-like haze oozing down around me in drooping, ugly colors. It gets to the point where it's hard to stay in the light; that's scary, one would think, but then I sometimes wish I could find a dark, quiet place to hide from the whole world as I used to when I was younger. I would sit where I felt safe in the bush. I do my best to keep the ability to mentally return there well-honed, as it seems to be the only defence and mode of communication I have with the outside world.

HUMOR: My sense of humor seems to work the best for me. That, and sharing my thoughts and feelings about the latest national and local news, breaking down the information as closely as I can into common parlance. I see humor like the decorations you put on the Christmas tree. I purposely manage to drag it through all of the worlds 🐴 💩 only in an attempt to tickle someone's funny bone and share a smile or a laugh, both of which can be hard to find on the Internet. I also think it's important to pray. My defence is my sense of HUMOR, which I keep honed to fend off that little Red Devil. ⚔️ 👹

Anyway, that's enough about me. There are bigger fish to fry, as they say. Why don't we begin with a couple of flappin' mackerels, eh? 🎏

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

Zohran Mamdani says he still believes Trump is a "fascist" and a "despot" after White House meeting

The New York mayor-elect said that while he does believe Trump is a fascist, he still plans on working with the White House on New Yorkers' behalf.

This news nearly knocked me off my chair when I first heard it, then it dawned on me.

Trump seems to have adopted something peculiar since that meeting. Trump is up to something odd, changing his appearance. Yet for some reason, the media doesn't seem to find it peculiar or important enough to publish.

A new fashion advisor? Or trying to change his image because he can see that his freight train with the crooked cross flag won't make it across the gorge to the other side before the bridge collapses? So now is the time to change the mask and put on a different act. Maybe in the form of giving in to the people by removing some of the damage he's done, and probably pointing his finger at someone else, making himself look like a hero more than a villain, like an arsonist who lit the fire, helping to put it out.

As for Zohran Mamdani, I don't feel any bad vibes from him. I believe he's telling the truth in the above article, maybe playing cat and mouse with Trump, or he learned somewhere how to speak Psycopath 😉 👍

BREAKING NEWS:

Federal judge dismisses indictments against Letitia James and James Comey, saying Lindsey Halligan appointment was unlawful

A federal judge dismissed the indictments against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James on Monday.

The judge found that the appointment of interim US Attorney Lindsey Halligan in Alexandria, Virginia, was invalid. Trump handpicked Halligan for the role amid increasing pressure to bring criminal cases against his political enemies, including Comey and James.

“The Attorney General’s attempt to install Ms. Halligan as Interim U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia was invalid,” Judge Cameron McGowan Currie wrote in her Monday order...

Pentagon threatens to recall Sen. Mark Kelly to military service for court martial over illegal orders video

The Pentagon said Monday that it is investigating Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly, a retired US Navy captain, in light of “serious allegations of misconduct” the department has received against him, and could even recall him to active duty to face a court martial or administrative punishment.

The investigation comes as President Donald Trump has been pushing relentlessly for consequences for Kelly and five other Democratic lawmakers over a video they made reminding servicemembers of their duty to disobey illegal orders, calling their actions “seditious” and “treason.”...

Because Kelly was a senior officer who retired from the Navy, he is required to remain available for recall to the military by law. The other five lawmakers, Sen. Elissa Slotkin, Rep. Jason Crow, Rep. Maggie Goodlander, Rep. Chris Deluzio and Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, are not eligible for recall to a military service.

In a statement announcing the review, the Defense Department seemingly alluded to the video...

CANADIAN NEWS:

This rubber duck museum in a U.S. border town has lost business. Now it's moving to B.C.

Museum in Point Roberts features 'culturally significant' rubber ducks, with one more than 100 years old

A rubber duck museum based in Point Roberts, U.S.A., is set to move to B.C.’s Tsawwassen Mills mall next month as owners say business has become unsustainable due to increasing tariffs and decreasing tourism.

The new location will only be about a 15-minute drive away from the current space — not even six kilometres as the crow flies — but an international border will separate the two. Point Roberts, an American exclave of just over 1,000 people, is connected by land to Canada but is separated from the rest of the U.S. by water...

N.L. asks Deloitte to carry out review after 'incorrect' citations found in provincial health plan

Comes on heels of Education Accord having false citations

The Newfoundland and Labrador government says it's been in contact with the private company responsible for a new report meant to guide the province into the future, which was found to contain fake citations.

Online newspaper The Independent reported over the weekend that the province's Department of Health recently released a health human resource plan, conducted by the consulting firm Deloitte, which contains four fake citations. The situation comes months after the province's Education Accord was called into question after Radio-Canada reported it contained at least 15 citations for non-existent journal articles and documents...

NOW IT COMES OUT!!! Thieves, thieves, thieves, probably the same here in Ontario.

- Google Search -

Ford, Trudeau signed $3.1B health-care funding deal that will see Ontario hire more health workers

Agreement comes year after feds promised to boost health transfers to provinces

For the Ontario health care system. If that is so, why are they still closing hospitals and emergency rooms, and why is there a shortage of doctors where there are plenty of them on the other side of the border that would take positions in Ontario if given an opportunity?*_

Will Ontario's nonpartisan, effective Auditor General please look into this charade we're being subjected to by the Ford regime? Please and thank you.
