🧚‍♀️ TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

NEWS AGGREGATOR & COMMENTS

May Great Spirit bless 🙏

Topic: Science and Psychology:

Maybe a good morning, eh? I put the white flag up, and no one threw any rotten tomatoes at it, so I guess all's quiet on the waterfront for now this morning. Good, thank you, Great Spirit. Well, so far, the sun is still peeking through the clouds, and there's a chance of RAIN this afternoon with a balmy temp. of 37 ° F

What's a flashback? When I came into the Newsroom and fired up old Betsy here, my large computer monitor and a real keyboard, the Google image that popped up on my screen just about blew me out of my chair. It was like a snap of the fingers, and I was sitting on the floating dock back at the homestead, looking across the early morning misty lake at the majestic pine trees that crowned the island there.

That island used to be my childhood playground, just me, my collie, a fishing pole, a tomato can, and a leaky rowboat. When I get flashbacks like that, I just don't feel them; they're as real as reality itself.

Well, folks, here I am, ready to begin another day on my pet project, The Tree House News, to inform and, hopefully, shine a light of truth, caring support, and prayers to everyone in need. That's about it for me from the Newsroom for today.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

What Is A Flashback?

Flashbacks: some are good, and some are like symptoms of PTSD; most times I get flashbacks, they are nice memories. I have some of the bad ones, too. I just don't go there, PERIOD. Don't need to go there; they've been dealt with. Why go a rattlin' old skeletons in that closet unless there's a need to? But the bad reactions to those memories can pop up unexpectedly, like a sudden noise, like someone rolled a live grenade under your door.

I prefer to share my concept without getting into the math. I sometimes post the math to better illustrate a concept. If I know what I'm looking for on - Google Search -, I can and do assist with the math. In my daily comments, I would rather continue to explain these scientific terms and theories in plain language for anyone to read. Then, if needed, use Google Search to verify.

I often wondered if flashbacks are exactly that, flashbacks to information stored in time and space. If so, awesome! Imagine if one could flash back all of history from whatever one would call the infinitesimal or quanta. A beginning and an end? Maybe in one cycle in time and space, but what about echoes or gravitational waves? - Google Search - Invisible, fast-moving ripples in the curvature of spacetime, or black holes.

Where does the INFORMATION come from? Would not information require thought processing, with thoughts and consciousness serving as the receiver and analyzer of the information sent, as in *T.H.O.U.G.H.T.* form, which is part of the *process of awareness?* <- big period that's it! Something, someone, a consciousness has to be aware of the universe, for the universe to mean anything. If not, even if it existed, it would be irrelevant; without consciousness, order, there's nothing there that's of relevance, chaos.

P.T.S.D.

(PTSD) is a mental health condition *triggered by experiencing

(the grenade effect as I mentioned above)

or witnessing *terrifying events*, such as *abuse,* accidents, or combat. Symptoms—*including flashbacks, nightmares, severe anxiety, and avoidance of reminders*—must last over a month to be diagnosed. It can severely impact daily life, causing *social withdrawal, emotional numbness*, and difficulty maintaining relationships.

NOTE: Sobriety through AA was where I also found spirituality, and a good shrink, who helped me a lot.

Question: What Is A Flashback?

A flashback is a sudden, vivid, and often involuntary re-experiencing of a past memory, where an individual feels as if they are reliving a previous, usually intense or traumatic, experience. In literature and film, it refers to a scene that interrupts the chronological narrative to show earlier events.

Question: Flashbacks of Good Memories

*Flashbacks of good memories*, or positive involuntary autobiographical memories, are sudden, vivid, and spontaneous recollections of happy, warm, or peaceful past moments, often triggered by sensory cues like scents, sounds, or sights. These involuntary memories can act as mental, comforting "postcards from the past" or as a coping mechanism during periods of stress, low stimulation, or emotional turbulence, providing a sense of comfort.

Question: Quantum Mechanics And Information

Quantum mechanics governs the behavior of matter and light at the subatomic scale, treating information as a fundamental, conserved, and quantum-mechanical quantity (qubits) rather than just classical bits. It uses phenomena such as superposition, entanglement, and nonlocality, enabling exponential processing power in quantum computing while ensuring information is never lost in unitary, time-reversible systems...

Steve Bannon, a former White House adviser to US President Donald Trump, discussed opposition strategies with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein against Pope Francis, with Bannon saying he hoped to “take down” the pontiff, according to newly released files from the US Department of Justice. Messages sent between the pair in 2019, released in the massive document dump last month, reveal Bannon courted the late financier in his attempts to undermine the former pontiff after leaving the first Trump administration.

Bannon had been highly critical of Francis whom he saw as an opponent to his “sovereigntist” vision, a brand of nationalist populism which swept through Europe in 2018 and 2019. The released documents from the DOJ appear to show that Epstein had been helping Bannon to build his movement...

Francis, meanwhile, was a counterweight to the Trumpian worldview, strongly critiquing nationalism and making advocacy for migrants a hallmark of his pontificate.

The recently released DOJ files reveal Bannon messaged Epstein on several occasions in his efforts to undermine the late pope.

A partial government shutdown has hit the Department of Homeland Security. Here’s what that means

The Department of Homeland Security has been ensnared by a partial government shutdown as Congress did not act to fund the agency by the end of Friday. But nearly all DHS workers will remain on the job — even if many won’t get paid until the lapse ends — and the public probably won’t notice much of a change.

DHS is the last federal agency lacking funding for the remainder of fiscal year 2026, which runs through September 30. Since the record-long shutdown ended in mid-November, lawmakers have passed a series of spending bills for the rest of the government. The most recent package, approved at the end of January, only funded DHS for two weeks to give Congress more time to negotiate reforms in the agency’s immigration enforcement operations — a demand by Senate Democrats after federal immigration agents fatally shot two US citizens in Minneapolis in January...

  • What is the debate around funding DHS?:
  • Will this shutdown affect air travel?:
  • What does the shutdown mean for ICE and CBP?:
  • How will the lapse in funding affect other agencies under DHS?:
  • Will the IRS or other government agencies be affected?:

Head of military's space division warns Russia is considering putting nuclear weapons in orbit

Brig.-Gen. Christopher Horner says access to spaceports is a challenge

The head of Canada's military space division says the country "should absolutely be" concerned about Russia's potential capabilities amid global fears the Kremlin is considering putting nuclear weapons in place to target satellites.

"That would be cataclysmic," said Brig.-Gen. Christopher Horner, Commander of 3 Canadian Space Division during an interview with CBC's The House. "Everything that we have come to rely on from a communications platform level or from a GPS level — if [Russia] were to deploy a capability like that and then detonate it — would be wiped out," Horner told host Catherine Cullen.
