Great Spirit bless πŸ™

Wow! Can you believe this, eh? Four days of consecutive sunny weather. I wish I could hold this high-pressure system down with a hammer and pegs πŸ”¨πŸ“Œ like a tent ⛺️ If I could, I would. I love being able to sit outside in my Green Space 🌿🌳🌴🦜🌺🌸πŸͺ΄ while I have my first coffee ☕️ of the morning πŸŒ…. At least here in the Newsroom, all is well and peaceful when I was out in my Green Space. I wonder what they did to that sewer shitsnuffaluffagus. No roaring of the shitsnuffaluffagus today, "Grrreeat!" says Tony the Tiger. 🐯

Actually, they're more like Sahelanthropus than homo sapiens. The shitsnuffaluffagus has no relation to Mr. Snuffleupagus, Snuffy the muppet on TV. After all, no self-respecting Snuffleupagus would want even to get close to... well, maybe it went to find another sewer to suck. "Dum - dum sewer sucking truck!" - 🚚➰

BREAKING NEWS:

Clashes continue in Lebanon despite Israel and Hezbollah accepting US partial ceasefire plan

Clashes have continued in southern Lebanon despite Israel and Hezbollah accepting a US plan for a partial ceasefire.

President Donald Trump said on Monday that he had spoken to both sides and "they agreed that all shooting will stop", after Iran warned Israeli military actions in Lebanon were a threat to the US-Iran ceasefire. Lebanon said Hezbollah had accepted the plan for it to halt attacks on Israel and for Israel not to attack the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the agreement. But he said strikes on Beirut would go ahead "if Hezbollah does not stop attacking our cities and civilians", and that Israeli forces would still operate in south Lebanon. While the ceasefire appears to be largely holding, there was further violence overnight.

Hezbollah said its fighters had targeted Israeli tanks in the southern Lebanese towns of Haddatha and Bayada with missiles and shells...

Strikes continue in southern Lebanon after Trump has heated call with Netanyahu

Here's The Latest:

Lebanon clashes: High-stakes talks between Israel and Lebanon are taking place at the US State Department after Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah and the Israeli military continued to trade strikes overnight. Lebanese Authorities said Hezbollah agreed to a US proposal for a ceasefire with Israel in which strikes on Beirut would stop.

US-Israel tension: US President Donald Trump declared Israeli forces would not move on Beirut after a call with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The call became heated, according to sources, as he pressed Israel to scale back its Lebanon offensive, which threatened to upend negotiations with Iran.

Status of Iran talks: Meanwhile, Trump told ABC News he believes a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and extend the ceasefire with Iran is reachable “over the next week.” Iran’s final draft proposal is under review, Iranian media reported, indicating that negotiations are ongoing a day after reports that Iran suspended them over Israel’s offensive in Lebanon.

Why Trump’s cratering poll numbers are so remarkable

His approval rating is lower than it has been since immediately after leaving office — but you need to look beneath the hood for the real story.

VIDEO | Included:

President Donald Trump’s approval numbers have been in a prolonged slump in a way that we haven’t seen in his second term. According to The New York Times’ national polling average on Monday, 38% of Americans approve and 58% disapprove of his performance. He hasn’t broken a 40% average approval since late April. The overall figures are bad, clearly, and though Trump has had runs of horrific polling before and bounced back, there are reasons to believe he’ll have a harder time recovering this time.

  • Trump’s cratering poll numbers are remarkable in part because they challenge a consensus about how low any politician’s numbers can rise or fall in this political climate:
  • More from MS NOW Daily:
  • It will be difficult for Trump to bounce back from those kinds of numbers when he’s so out of touch on the most important issue to most Americans:

Canada tells U.S., Mexico it wants CUSMA renewed

Formal letter comes as Canada-U.S. trade minister heads to Washington

Canada has given the U.S. and Mexico official notice that it wants the free trade deal between the three countries to be renewed. In a letter to his American and Mexican counterparts, Canada-U.S. Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc said the country is seeking renewal of the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) when it comes up for review on July 1.

LeBlanc is in Washington Tuesday for a meeting with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, a member of U.S. President Donald Trump's cabinet. All the signals from the White House over the past year and a half indicate that the Trump administration does not want a straightforward renewal of CUSMA and instead wants significant changes to its terms, including on automotive exports and access to Canada's dairy market...

In first remarks after Canada enters ‘technical recession,’ Carney acknowledges ‘weakness’ in economy

VIDEO | Included:

OTTAWA - While Prime Minister Mark Carney acknowledged weaknesses in the Canadian economy, he also defended the federal government’s economic agenda on Tuesday and did not use the word “recession.”

“This government’s been in the process of laying the foundations for a stronger, more resilient, more independent Canadian economy,” Carney said Tuesday when asked directly by reporters in Ottawa about whether Canada is in a recession.

“That process is settling in during that time as we make major investments, major changes to how the government operates, how we do major projects, how we have new trade agreements with other countries.”...
