Great Spirit bless πŸ™

Morning everyone, and I pray that today is a brighter, more promising day than yesterday, and may tomorrow be better than today. There you go, how's that for a greeting? - πŸ˜„πŸ™ It was supposed to be sunny today and over 100° F - pop goes the thermometer 🌑️πŸ’₯ if it gets sunny! But right now, it's overcast and around 80°F. It's quite likely going to be an air-conditioned day for the second time this year. The first heat wave we had was those two nice days we had back at the beginning of June.

During the last couple of years, we have been shortchanged by about three months of what used to be nice, mild, seasonable weather from April through June. Now, it feels like early April from the first of April to the last day of June. That's not normal.

Still, we should be grateful that all we have is a little messup with the temperatures and wet weather here, when south and west of us, severe droughts and wildfires have plagued the northern half of that area while tornadoes and floods destroyed large portions of the south. Recalling the past 70 years of my life, we had some wildfires and tornadoes, a few hurricanes a year in the Maririme Provinces, the seasonal flooding of the Red River, possibly a few more localized floods, droughts on the Prairies, but nothing like it is today.

It seems there is a pattern of wildfires and drought in one state or province, and flooding in the next, year after year. The same pattern? The earthquake in Venezuela, climatological calamities of Biblical proportions? How about the *Hunga Tonga–Hunga* eruption being the most powerful volcanic eruption globally in the 21st century? Consider all the new strains of viruses rearing their ugly heads, threatening to put the human race out of existence.

Are these some of the prophecies of the Apocalypse? To me, these would certainly match some of the occurrences foretold in the Book of Revelation. Biblical proportions compared to the past years that I recollect. So what's next? Natural or human catastrophe? Take it or leave it, these are the observations of an 80-year-old who's still got all her beens.

Question: What is the Apocalypse in the Bible?

AI Overview

Four horsemen of the apocalypse | Bible, Meaning, Revelation ...In the Bible, "apocalypse" does not mean a sudden, destructive end of the world. It comes from the Greek word apokalypsis, which literally translates to "revelation," "uncovering," or "pulling back the curtain"

Biblically, it refers to a genre of literature (such as the Book of Revelation) where God gives a prophet a divine, heavenly perspective on human history so they can understand the ultimate triumph of good over evil...

Birthright citizenship upheld: In a big loss for President Donald Trump, the Supreme Court upheld birthright citizenship, striking down his executive order. Ruling on trans sports: The Supreme Court is letting states ban transgender athletes from playing on girls sports teams. The ruling comes amid a political and legal backlash against trans Americans in conservative states.

Campaign finance: The court also lifted a Watergate-era cap on how much money political parties may spend in coordination with candidates.

Supreme Court approves state sports bans for transgender women and girls

More than half the states in the country have restricted transgender women and girls from playing women’s and girls’ sports.

The Supreme Court approved state bans on transgender women and girls in sports, siding with Idaho and West Virginia in cases that affect bans in more than half the states around the country.

Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote for the court that under federal law and the Constitution, schools can “maintain women’s and girls’ sports for biological females.” The Trump appointee wrote that schools can “determine eligibility for women’s and girls’ sports

based on biological sex.”

Kavanaugh noted the court wasn’t deciding the separate question of whether schools can allow “biological males who identify as female to participate on girls’ and women’s sports teams.” He said that question is currently being litigated in the lower courts. So that issue could be addressed by the court in the future...

  • Trump’s fight against transgender women in sports lurks in Supreme Court appeal:
  • Trans female athletes’ best real hope could be that SCOTUS doesn’t decide the issue at all:

Thousands are now Canadians under new citizenship law. Half of them are Americans

Sharp increase in applications after court required Ottawa to change rules

Thousands of people around the world have received Canadian citizenship certificates as a result of a change late last year to federal law.

Half of them Americans, CBC News has learned.

In the first three months since the change, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued proof of citizenship certificates to 4,075 people under citizenship by descent provisions in Bill C-3.

The law allows people living in other countries who can trace their lineage from Canadian ancestors to qualify for Canadian citizenship...
