Well, what do you know? It's sunny out, and the temps are still a little cool, but there is nothing a sweater can't handle. I made coffee, then had breakfast and went to sit out in my green space.
Still, for some reason, I didn't feel right. I had an overwhelming feeling of melancholy and foreboding, so I went back inside, snuggled in the corner of the couch like a scared child, and began to cry. I have no idea why, except I felt like I was a very small bug under a giant-sized Bizarro human boot. Pain. So I did a little meditating and said a prayer, and then the melancholy drifted away as it came.
I get premonitions that feel like that, but I usually know what the premonition is. But unfortunately, I don't always know where.
This one was different; there was no premonition, just the feeling of foreboding, pain, and sadness. All I could do was surrender, meditate, and pray. G-d bless. I am grateful to have the privilege of being here behind the keyboard, typing out the Tree House News.
Awake nightmares I don't need. At least in my sleep, I can just wake up if I don't like the shenanigans going on in the dream. Literally let yourself fall to the side, and then you wake up.
I believe this would also be a good time to discuss this narrative of premonitions. It is not uncommon; it is just not yet 100% scientifically proven.

I learned much of what I know from Psychology Today during my years as a Social Worker. I am more of a feeler than an analyst of moods and emotions, but one can come up with a pretty accurate analysis through feelings. Those kinds of feelings, like tendrils, can reach much more profound depths than those of the physical senses.

They said no, over and over again.
Career officials at the Internal Revenue Service were pressed by Trump officials and DOGE staffers to hand over access to sensitive taxpayer data to immigration agencies, but repeatedly refused, telling their new overseers that doing so would be illegal.
The chief privacy officer told the agency’s acting commissioner in late February that “there is no clear legal authority right now for this,” according to a source with knowledge of the conversation. Another senior IRS career official told colleagues, “This doesn’t sound quite kosher to me,” according to the source.

Honda considering moving some auto production out of Canada: Japanese report
Auto giant hasn’t officially commented, but move would be major blow to Ontario
A Japanese news outlet is reporting that Honda is considering moving some of its production out of Canada amid the ongoing tariff threats from U.S. President Donald Trump — though automotive experts in Ontario said early Tuesday this may be contingency planning.
Honda is considering switching some car production from Mexico and Canada to the United States, aiming for 90 per cent of cars sold in the country to be made locally in response to new U.S. auto tariffs, the Nikkei newspaper reported on Tuesday.
Such a move would be a major blow to Ontario, which has a large Honda plant in Alliston that was in line to see a massive expansion.

Bueno, ¿sabes? Hace sol y la temperatura sigue un poco fresca, pero no hay nada que un suéter no pueda soportar. Preparé café, desayuné y fui a sentarme en mi espacio verde.
Aun así, por alguna razón, no me sentía bien. Sentía una abrumadora melancolía y un mal presentimiento, así que volví adentro, me acurruqué en un rincón del sofá como un niño asustado y empecé a llorar. No tengo ni idea de por qué, solo que me sentía como un bicho muy pequeño bajo una bota humana gigantesca de Bizarro. Dolor. Así que medité un poco y recé una oración, y luego la melancolía se fue como vino.
Tengo premoniciones que se sienten así, pero normalmente sé qué es. Pero, por desgracia, no siempre sé dónde.
Esta fue diferente; no hubo premonición, solo una sensación de aprensión, dolor y tristeza. Todo lo que pude hacer fue rendirme, meditar y orar. Que Dios me bendiga. Agradezco el privilegio de estar aquí, detrás del teclado, escribiendo las Noticias de la Casa del Árbol.

Awake nightmares are what happens if you're an empath and you dwell on
something like, for example, the people in Gaza being torn and ripped apart heartlessly like so much garbage by their nemesis and executioners, simply for being human. Too much of that in the world.
To much pain, suffering, and hate.
And someone not long ago dared say too many empaths, eh? Wait until the creepy crawlers get your miserable meat suit and no empaths around to help. It's hard to swim through a swamp full of alligators. Can you trust an alligator?

We always live in interesting times, but our current affairs demand more attention than I have seen. The majority of the House of Representatives in America is Republican. This majority has given all of its constitutional powers and duties to the occupant of the Offal Office. The majority Republican Senate is equally useless. Both legislative bodies silently collect their pay while Trump obviates their existence and runs a dictatorship by executive orders.
Executive orders do not have the effect of law, but who can stop government agencies from following them after they have been abused by the DOGE brownshirts and their indiscriminate firings of employees, unfettered access to sensitive information, including taxpayer data and Social Security files, and the gutting of agencies, especially those in HHS and Social Security, making their failure inevitable.
Where will Americans be after this elimination of government services?
Today's discussion of premonitions and precognition is lively. Strong beliefs exist on both sides of the question of their existence. Foreknowledge of events takes place. I don't believe anyone can cause it to happen at will.
In 2000, I lived in a tower apartment building with a view of Washington, DC. One night, I had a dream. I saw a brilliant red glow over Washington. I got the radio news, and they said that the Smithsonian Castle building was on fire. No cause had been suspected; it was on fire, that was it.
This event did not happen, but the Pentagon burned on 9/11, a year or more later. I cannot connect these events, but the dream was odd. I haven't had such a dream before or since.
I've looked into clairvoyance, mediums, seers, predictors, premonitions, precognition, and deja vu. None of these phenomena has a precise definition, and none can pass the first bar of the scientific method of investigation by doing the same thing more than once and getting the same results every time. Even the renowned Nostradamus made vague predictions.
Some religious groups predicted the end of the world and were wrong three times in the Twentieth Century. Edgar Cayce, a famous American seer, predicted two earthquakes wiping out Los Angeles and San Diego, and the destruction of New York City by a natural disaster, none of which happened.
Conclusion: I have no reason not to believe anyone who says they had a dream or other event that allowed them to see a future occurrence. Anyone saying they can do it on demand, especially for a price, is a fake.

This comes after a Japanese news outlet reported Tuesday that Honda is working on plans to switch some car production from Mexico and Canada to the U.S. amid the ongoing trade war. I lifted this from CBC.
America's federal government has been gutted. Entire agencies have been left unable to perform their prime missions. The Social Security Administration has been torn to pieces by the stormtroopers of DOGE and has barely enough staff to keep the lights on. Confidential information about beneficiaries has been stolen by DOGE. No one knows if they will continue receiving the benefits they paid for all their working lives. At Health and Human Services, we cannot depend on them to keep our food supply, drug supply, sanitation at food and meat processing facilities, and virus safety on cruise ships going because either the experts in those areas have been fired or those functions cut. Even the National Weather Service is a thing of the past. It's up to each American to spot and track tornadoes and hurricanes.
How long will Americans put up with their economy in a mess and their government unable to provide their Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits? That depends on how much they're willing to take because Trump and Musk said it's alright.
