Well, today is starting mainly sunny and a pleasant 73°F, but it is supposed to turn to rain this afternoon and become much cooler by late evening. I was out in my Green Space for a moment with my coffee to do my morning meditation. I remarked on how nice it was, maybe the last vestige of a mild summer day until April, au revoir l'été! I noted that there was a lot of yellow and gold among the green in the trees now. It felt nice in the silence of the morning, and the warmth of the sun soon had me drifting on the aromas of this early fall day.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

Vision of Suffering

I suddenly felt so sad. I lowered my head into my hands as an image vividly manifested itself in my mind. I could see many children all around me, all suffering from some affliction or another, some from horrible injuries, missing limbs, etc. A lot of starvation, everywhere! Rubble, destruction, like something out of Hell, except that in my vision, there was no doubt as to where these children were. We see them every other night on the nightly news. I woke up, kind of like coming, actually more like swimming my way out of a thick fog or smog.

I was relieved as well as humbled. I know what physical and soul-deep suffering feels like, but this image went deeper; it was soul-deep to the extent it felt like a knife stuck in the back of the Great Spirit Universe herself.

SUFFERING:

And those cockroaches, the leaders who choose to fight instead of negotiating, with no regard to human lives, and behaving like toddlers, fighting in a playpen, whacking each other with their soiled diapers. They send their people to do the boom booms, bang bangs, and fighting 💥⚔️ for them. We're expendable; these self-proclaimed tin can gods of the universe are not worth a fleet of trucks loaded with pig 🐷💩 The little people? They see us as bugs; we are just numbers. 1,2,3,...

Here is one theory: Maybe there are too many numbers 1,2,3,...; let's get rid of some to make it easier to handle the survivors. Is that what it is? Some people in white coats, a think tank in an underground command center somewhere, are planning to execute Operation Depopulation 2026. This is only one checker among the many checkers on the checkerboard. There may be other checkers on that board just as sinister, and they will CARRY OUT THEIR INSANE PLANS with NO OPPOSITION because, We, the People, are allowing the sinister people to run the effing show without even showing some serious resistance and opposition until yesterday, October 18, 2025.

Millions rally against Trump at ‘No Kings’ protests across the US. Here’s why protesters say they attended

To celebrate her 70th birthday, retired government worker Peggy Cole says she and a friend drove nearly 10 hours from her hometown of Flint, Michigan, to join a protest in Washington, DC, on Saturday.

Cole said she felt compelled to mark the milestone at the large demonstration because it’s a “scary time” for Americans and democracy is at stake. “It seems to me, (Trump is) taking our government, our democracy, and dismantling it piece by piece, slowly, but surely, if we sit by and don’t do anything about it,” Cole said.

The event was one of more than 2,700 “No Kings” rallies held across the country on Saturday, protesting what organizers describe as President Donald Trump’s “authoritarian” agenda. That’s hundreds more events than were planned for the first go-round in June, when about 5 million people across the country took to the streets to protest Trump’s administration as he held a military parade in Washington.

Nearly 7 million people showed up for Saturday’s rallies – including more than 100,000 people in New York, organizers and officials said. Along with larger events in major cities, small pockets of “No Kings” protesters cropped up along busy thoroughfares, in small town squares and at municipal parks in red and blue states alike...

Israel strikes Gaza after accusing Hamas of ‘blatant’ violation of ceasefire in first major test of US-brokered truce

Israel carried out several strikes on Gaza Sunday after saying its troops came under fire from militants in a “blatant” violation of the ceasefire, the first major test of the US-brokered truce.

An Israeli military official said Hamas attacked Israeli forces in Rafah with rocket-propelled grenades and sniper fire, prompting Israel to carry out strikes in the area.

Hamas fired towards Israeli forces beyond the Yellow Line - the line behind which Israeli troops have withdrawn according to the ceasefire deal - in three separate incidents Sunday, according to another military official.

One source familiar with the incident in Rafah said Israeli forces had suffered casualties. The incident occurred behind the Yellow Line...

Denmark's mail volume has declined 90 per cent over the past two decades

By the end of 2025, Denmark's postal service will have delivered its last letter. The state-owned PostNord is getting out of the letter delivery business and will focus solely on parcels. It's a move, the Danish postal service said, that was precipitated by the significant decline in letter volumes over the past 20 years, a development due in large part to the digitization of its society.

Canada's postal service, too, has encountered major mail volume decreases — a situation that has prompted the government to propose significant changes, including ending home delivery. But could Canada go even further, and follow Denmark's path of eliminating letter delivery?...

Canadian snowbirds fingerprinted and photographed at U.S. border as part of new requirement

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says travelers who register at the border will be subjected to such measures

Several Canadian snowbirds reported they were fingerprinted and photographed at the U.S. border this month when registering for their winter stay, which U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) told CBC News is now standard procedure. Jacquie and Steve Ree of Ladysmith, B.C., arrived at the Peace Arch Border Crossing between Surrey, B.C., and Blaine, Wash., on Oct 9.

The snowbirds knew tthey'dhave to comply with a new registration requirement for travelers staying in the United States longer than 29 days. So when a CBP officer said they could complete the process at the border, the couple agreed, unaware of what lay ahead. I think of ragheads as in the cartoons, long pointy mustach with a rag tied around their heads, eyes like a ravaged rat sneaking through your window at half past midnight with a scimitar held in their teeth.
