TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

Well, I don't have much for the News today. To start, I had a peculiarly weird morning. I felt somewhat disoriented and was literally bouncing off things, so I decided to go back to bed. It was snowing, and the last memory I had was of thinking of saying to Bobbie McGee, my imaginary friend, "Please turn off the day and hang up my hat on the peg on your way out the door. Thank you."

I didn't get up until 9:30 a.m., and was still reluctant to do so, seeing it was still flaking some flakes of snow outside. It felt so alluring to just remain under the Bear, in my nice warm bed. I call my nice furry blanket "The Bear." I am doing OK now, but I'm getting a late start to who knows where?.*_

Now it appears I have somehow lost my topic of the day, so, for now, it's a huntin' we will go.

Well, I guess my manuscript went by-bys. Like my head, fart in a mitt. 💨 🧤 Poof! 🤣 "Kapootskie! Gone with the wind!" 🌬 Eh! Perhaps this is a good day for Old Farts DAY OFF. 👴 (‿ˠ‿) 💨

What is the latest with the*_ *Canadian budget?* So far: An air sandwich. 🪽 🥪

Reopening of the American Government: why bother, the ratfink has three months to kill more of it, another air sandwich, unless the Democrats use those two months to their advantage. Otherwise, it's just another air sandwich. 🪽 🥪 We have enough air sandwiches since the Orange Pus Bag 😡 🫟 🧳 has some half-assed (_1/2_) notion to replace all the aircraft at all airports and go Airsandwich 🪽 🥪 Travel instead. or (‿I

Now, about:

Ontario, Hiring American Doctors.

Is Ontario serious about this, or is this just another air sandwich?

Ontario favourable over 'draconian' new law, despite similar resource pressures, anesthesiologist says

Over 250 Quebec doctors are applying to be able to work in Ontario, according to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The surge of applications is happening in the wake of a controversial bill reforming doctors’ pay, which was passed on Oct. 25 in Quebec.

In just over two weeks, the CPSO saw over 13 times more applicants than the 19 total received from June 1 to Oct. 22 this year, according to data provided in a statement to CBC Toronto. As of Monday morning, 263 Quebec doctors had applied to be licensed in Ontario since Oct. 23, according to the statement. Of those 263 applicants, 35 have been approved for certificates, the CPSO said.

Canadian doctors call on Ontario government to reconsider new residency policy

The Canadian Medical Association and the College of Family Physicians of Canada are adding their voices to the growing number of organizations urging the Ontario Government to re-evaluate the recently announced requirements for international medical graduates (IMGs) seeking residency positions in Ontario. This policy disqualifies IMGs who did not go to high school in Ontario from applying in the first round for residency training.

With the academic year already underway and the application window half-way through, international medical graduates have already initiated the process for this match at significant expense and time-commitment. These applicants are already Canadian citizens or permanent residents residing in Canada and often work in healthcare. At a time when every effort is being made to attract more family physicians, the abrupt policy change for IMGs will destabilize family medicine programs in Ontario. The government is urged to postpone this ill-timed policy.

With this solution mindset, we urge the Ontario government to reassess these restrictive measures until further consultation can be conducted properly and an appropriate evaluation of the unintended consequences can be completed.

Personally, I think one may as well hang a sign that SAYS

"AMERICAN DOCTORS ARE NOT WANTED!

ONTARIO DOESN'T NEED DOCTORS!"
