TREE HOUSE NEWS ๐ก
Land of Whispering Pines ๐ฒ
Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you ๐
Another cloudy, rainy morning, damp and cool, but that's okay. I'm going nowhere. I can sit in this lovely, warm room and look outside at the gloom, sticking my tongue out at it.
I feel much better than I did yesterday. I don't know what that was. Maybe I was picking up on all the negativity after the disappointment of the Democrats "caving" to the Republican Dunce Cadets. What appeared to be a capitulation by eight Democrats turned out to be something far less damaging. I might write about that soon.
Also, I forgot to do some math. It's a little over eight weeks until Congress must vote to fund government operations. If there is no agreement on funding, another shutdown may occur. I heard on MSNBC TV that the Dems could carry over the problem with the Obamacare tax credits to reduce the pain of the premium increases on its subscribers and reintroduce it in the next funding bill, which is on Jan 30, 2026
So it's not dead, for now, it is only lying dormant. The Dems now have a sleeping lion or a dead lion, depending on what they decide to do with this sleeping lion.
IF DEMS ARE NOT ASLEEP for the next eight weeks, they will have time to do something other than boost their image; it's already busted. For the Democrats, it should be like playing chess, studying the opponent, in this case, the opponent is none other than the Fat Orange Kink of Bizarromerica, the Land of the Slaves. The real trick is not just to cage. They must checkmate the Kink of Bizarromerica and identify the mastermind or minds, the engineers, and the puppeteers behind this crooked cross held by white men with crooked tongues, and see this crooked cross pandemic thing blow over.
Even then, which I doubt will happen that quickly, with the foot-dragging judges who will purposely go with the flow of the momentum to carry them over to the end of the statute of limitations, which will in turn carry us over the line, where everyone will feel the power of the crooked cross to varying degrees, not to mention some of who became victims of the epidemic of people falling off balconies. Don't forget that it was by your own choice,

"WE, THE PEOPLE CHOSE THIS ORANGE COCROACH FOR OUR LEADER, THEN WE *CHOSE TO ALLOW* THIS MESS!"
THEN JUST CHOSE TO SIT ON OUR HANDS AND MUMBLE OUR DISATISFACTION.
ALL I CAN SAY IS: GET OFF YOUR HANDS AND TAKE THE MASKING TAPE OFF YOUR MOUTH, and stick the tape where the sun doesn't shine, where whiteman is always white.* And you don't need Colgate! Maybe you need the Colgate after you took too much Milk of Magnesia
Me Not Whiteman, Not Injun, nor aboriginal, nor Enuit, nor Chinamen either, Newfoundlander, Not even of the species of Australopithecus which was ancestral to Homosapian, etc. Me MARTIAN! ๐ ๐ฝ I believe we are ancestral to the species, the Sandworms of Tatooine. -Star Wars- ๐ช ๐ ๐

Epstein mentioned Trump multiple times in private emails, new release shows
Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender whose death by suicide has spawned intense scrutiny of the high-profile people he knew, mentioned Donald Trump by name multiple times in private correspondence over the last 15 years with an associate and an author in Trump’s orbit, according to newly released emails from Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.
The emails to longtime Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of sex trafficking after Epstein’s death, and the author Michael Wolff include conversations in which Epstein asserts Trump spent significant time with a woman whom Oversight Democrats describe as a victim of Epstein’s sex trafficking.
The emails also include a message in which Epstein asserts Trump “knew about the girls” — seemingly in reference to Trump’s claim that he kicked Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago club for poaching young women who worked there, according to the newly released emails.
The emails were released Wednesday by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, who obtained them after subpoenaing Epstein’s estate earlier this year. Trump did not receive or send any of the messages, which largely predated his time as president, and he has not been accused of any criminal wrongdoing in connection with Epstein or Maxwell.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt criticized Democrats on the House Oversight Committee for releasing the messages, claiming the members “selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump.” ...

Ukrainian university students who fled war get a tuition break in Sask. That could soon change
A funding deal keeping universities affordable for Ukrainian students is scheduled to expire in 2026
When Ivan Teteria walked across the University of Saskatchewan campus for his first week of classes this fall, it felt like proof that everything he’d worked for was finally paying off. Three years earlier, as the war in Ukraine escalated, he left home and arrived in Regina as a 15-year-old, unsure of the life ahead of him.
In a new city, he tried to rebuild a sense of normalcy with school, friends, and a future he could plan for. That future proved to be within reach with the help of a Saskatchewan program allowing Ukrainian students who fled the war to pay the same tuition as Canadians. ...
