TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May Great Spirit bless 🙏

Well, it is supposed to rain today, and the weatherman appears to be holding to his promise. It's not raining yet, but it's cloudy, grey, cool - not cold, just plain yucky, dull, gloomy, grey day, which I will feel like until after New Year's. I celebrate New Year's more for the fact that daylight is beginning its journey back towards spring than I do the celebration of the New Year. At my age, it only reminds me that I'm one year older than I was at this time last year. 🥳

For me, it's psychologically a relief once I become conscious of the promise and compensation of spring returning, by way of one minute at a time of more daylight each day.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

Encouragement:

- Google Search -

Making you feel more confident or hopeful:

There was a lot of positive feedback, which was very encouraging. It's very encouraging that Andrew is in favour of the project. The sales figures are very encouraging. Their performance on Saturday was very encouraging.

My Opinion: Encouragement is much like the promise of spring, the rebirth of Love, Empathy, and Equality, and the growth of new enlightenment in our lives.

For me, my longing for spring within me is eased, for as long as I hold onto the hope of spring in my heart, then psychologically, spring begins.

Of course, with the help of the two bright LED lights in the kitchen and dining room, and the two LED floor lamps on full bright in the living room, along with the lights for my Click and Grow garden along the far wall, it helps to repel some of the greyness. Additionally, my Green Space, featuring Astroturf and artificial plants, remains green year-round, which also helps. 😉 Like my own personal cabana on a postage stamp, South Sea Island,

BREAKING NEWS:

Democrats are more enthusiastic about the midterms as Trump’s approval hits a second-term low, CNN poll finds

One year out from the midterm elections, the Democratic Party holds a sizable enthusiasm advantage as views of President Donald Trump dip further into negative territory, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

The fall of 2025 is not a replay of 2017, the year before the Democrats captured control of the US House in Trump’s first term. The Democrats’ 5-point advantage among registered voters in the generic congressional ballot falls short of the 11-point edge they held in CNN polling a year before the 2018 midterms. And favorable views of the party still stand near all-time lows as they have throughout this year, 8 points below where they were in the fall of Trump’s first year in office.

In a midterm election year, though, views of the president can outweigh perceptions of the opposition party. Trump’s approval rating in the poll stands at 37%, the worst of his second term in CNN polling and roughly equivalent to his 36% approval rating at this point in his first term. And his disapproval rating, at 63%, is numerically the highest of either term, one point above the previous high of 62% as he was leaving office in January 2021...

Trump spent 90 minutes with ‘60 Minutes’ here’s what happened

President Trump appeared on “60 Minutes” Sunday night, one year after suing the CBS show over the editing of a Kamala Harris interview and he was well aware that his answers would similarly be trimmed for time.

“You don’t have to use that one,” Trump remarked after an awkward exchange with interviewer Norah O’Donnell about crime in Washington, D.C. “You don’t have to put this on, because I don’t wanna embarrass you,” Trump said at another point while praising the new owners of CBS.

The newsmagazine’s producers evidently agreed that those moments weren’t the most newsworthy. CBS News aired about a third of O’Donnell’s sit-down with Trump on TV, and posted most of the rest on YouTube. The network also published the complete transcript of the 90-minute interview online...

Trump's tariffs face biggest test yet in U.S. Supreme Court

Case hinges on U.S. president's use of emergency powers to hit Canada, Mexico, others with tariffs

U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff regime faces its biggest legal test yet this week. The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments Wednesday on Trump's unprecedented use of an emergency powers law to slap broad-based tariffs on imports from Canada and other major trading partners.

On social media Trump has called it “THE MOST IMPORTANT CASE EVER" and repeatedly claimed that the Ontario government's anti-tariff ad campaign featuring an address by the late Ronald Reagan was an attempt to interfere with the case...

Carney says renegotiating CUSMA likely won't resolve all trade issues with U.S.

Vast majority of Canadian trade with U.S. is currently exempt from tariffs

Prime Minister Mark Carney says it's clear the U.S. will keep targeting certain sectors with tariffs even after the renegotiation of the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement on trade. Canada-U.S. Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc returned from Washington on Friday after a week of high-level talks about trade and tariffs with nothing more than a pledge to keep talking.

LeBlanc was at the White House on Tuesday with Carney for a working visit with U.S. President Donald Trump...

YOU CAN'T NEGOTIATE WITH A CRAZY PERSON, THAT IN ITSELF IS A USELESS ACT. IT IS ALSO A SIGN OF INSANITY.

It's still the same thumb 👍 holding the same nail 📌 the same way again. You're going to keep hitting the thumb 👍 💥 🔨 unless you strategically place the thumb out of direct repeated strikes. EH??????? Don't just stand there and twitch in your clothes, get off the tracks 🚉 Jack!, eh!.

As for ONTARIO HIRING AMERICAN DOCTORS. What a bad joke that was. They ironed out the red tape, then insulted Professional, medical-licensed, well-educated English-speaking Doctors from America, requiring them to spend two years in high school to qualify to practice medicine in Ontario. And here we are shutting down hospitals during a critical shortage of doctors. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? And recently, I have heard that some Doctors are not being paid for their services.

Additionally, new doctors arriving in Ontario often have to live in tents due to the housing shortage. I would say it's time Prime Minister Carney talked with our leader in the government, Ford. SIGN THE Fn, BILL FOR G-Ds SAKE! Don't expect any new American Doctors hired by the province of Ontario because the people running it are a bunch of cheap, greedy little wannabe Dunces or Ford's weasels weaseling away our OHIP funding, PERIOD ⚫️<- THAT'S IT!
