🧚‍♀️TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

NEWS AGGREGATOR & COMMENTS

May Great Spirit bless 🙏

OK, I finally got done answering all the posts I got since last night. Now it's time to begin the real work for the day: doing the news. Thank goodness I got all the housework done yesterday, it's so lovely to see the place sparkly clean and dust-free and smelling nice. I Roomba'd all the rooms and gave the kitchen and living room a good mopping with Pinesol. I cleaned all the countertops, sink, stove, dishwasher, and water cooler; dusted all the furniture in the living room and bedroom; and reorganised and dusted the NEWSROOM.

Everything is sparkly clean and in its place this morning. I've been so sick for so long, I haven't had the energy to do a thorough cleaning like that since probably the spring of 2024. I suppose I could call yesterday my spring cleaning day. Speaking of spring cleaning, I need to reorganise my clothes closet, like get rid of old clothes I'm no longer wearing, make more room for some new stuff once I figure out what I need.

I believe that taking out the tariffs between provinces was a good idea. I didn't even know the provinces were imposing tariffs on each other. That was nothing but greed, Effing theft. Yes, we have that here too. I call them freeloading federal tittie suckers or corporate thieves. They are the Achilles heel of any government.

FREE TRADE BETWEEN PROVINCES will greatly reduce commodity prices as it becomes cheaper to transport goods from province to province. Another thing Trumpo The Typo didn't count on is that we can survive without the U.S. if we make our country more self-sufficient. We have all of the building materials right here—wood, oil, metals, and Rare Earth Minerals. And we have a whole mess of rivers across the northern region of our great country where they can build hydroelectric dams. Then there is the pursuit of other trade for our commodities in exchange with other countries, without being tariffed out of business.

So Pits on you, Mr. Trumpo The Typo. 👅 All this stuff, the information I mentioned above, can be verified through AI Google Search. If you have the patience to ask and rephrase the same question a dozen different ways, you will come up with the correct answer. If not certain, it can be affirmed with Snopes.

As to what's new for today's weather, what do you think? The same old stuff. It seems to be clouding over and preparing for another dumping of the white 💩. At least I got one afternoon and one morning to see that my Green Space is actually green, not white.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

WHAT ARE TARIFFS

- Google Search -

Tariffs are taxes imposed by a government on imported goods and services, serving as trade barriers that make foreign products more expensive and favor domestic industries. Collected by customs authorities, the importing business pays these fees, not the foreign country, and often leads to higher prices for consumers.

I BET THAT'S A GOOD PART OF THE MONEY TRUMPO THE TYPO MANAGES TO STEAL, ALONG WITH ALL THE PAY CHECKS HE COLLECTED FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES THAT ELON MUSK FIRED. ALL TRUMPO THE TYPO DID WAS USE THIS TARIFF MONEY TO PAY FOR HIS RECRUITMENT OF DUNCE CADETS. GET THE PICTURE YET?

Rep. Omar attacked in Minnesota as Trump says he wants to de-escalate state tensions

A bomb cyclone is more likely to impact parts of the East Coast this weekend. Here are the updated scenarios

A powerful winter storm will form off the East Coast this weekend amid a bout of deadly cold, but predicting its track, intensity and who could see snow will take another day or so to become clear.

As of Wednesday, forecast models agree a storm will form off the coast of the Carolinas early Saturday and then intensify rapidly enough to be classified as a bomb cyclone. They’re also zeroing in on at least some impact to parts of the East Coast.

But models diverge on the exact track of this storm through the weekend, which will determine who sees snow and strong winds. Even a change of just 100 or 200 miles in the storm’s eventual track could be the difference in an epic snowfall for major East Coast cities or just a cold, breezy weekend.

  • The takeaway on Wednesday:
  • Weather Map Winter Storm Activity This Weekend INCLUDED:
  • Here are the scenarios that are in play:

Scenario 1: Coastal storm, Northeast largely spared

Scenario 2: Widespread snow event

Scenario 3: A whole lot of nothing

Alberta chief justices from all three levels of the court system have issued a rare public message underlining the importance of judicial independence.

Meet the Ontario snowbirds ditching the U.S. and wintering in Mexico

Political uncertainty, affordability and safety motivating factors for the move, snowbirds say

Some Ontario residents who typically spend their winters in the U.S. say they’ve recently opted to buy property in Mexico instead.

The shift comes as some snowbirds grow uneasy about the political climate under U.S. President Donald Trump. John Kawiuk and Sharron MacKay, from Mississauga, told CBC Toronto they started feeling apprehensive after years of wintering in Florida. “There was situations where we weren't welcome,” MacKay said. “Even from a security standpoint, as Canadians, we just didn't feel comfortable anymore.”
