Great Spirit bless π
Since I didn't get much attention with yesterday's Code Red π΄
Today I would like to share my thoughts on a brighter topic than yesterday.
The BIG RED BUTTON in the briefcase? π΄πΌ
Good morning, the forecast for the Niagara Peninsula is warmer today, 50° F, and partly sunny π€️ I have a dentist's appointment at 2:00 PM, which will not get in the way of anything, except that I would much rather spend more time in my Green Space. The rest of the week is crap weather, rain, and cool until the weekend. The temperatures are going to hover around the freezing mark Thursday and Friday, then turn milder again. You know how that goes. You get a promise of nice spring weather only to get that one last puke of snow.
I feel a little frazzled this morning. Still, I hope I get through it without getting ill again, as I did yesterday morning. I've been feeling OK for the last couple of months. Why is this shit coming back? I guess misery likes me; it just doesn't want to leave me be. What's scary is, every time I get Ill, when I recover, I feel weaker. It takes longer to regain my strength. Faculty-wise, it hasn't bothered me in the least, except for slowing me down or bogging down my stream of thoughts. Sometimes, composition feels like swimming through molasses when I am ill.
When I am not ill, just pick any topic and try me. Absent-mindedness, yes, forget the little stuff, yes, like the nickel and dime stuff, like, "don't forget to get some bread!" I forgot the bread, or like losing or misplacing car keys, wallets, credit cards, cell phones, purses, pills, and oh, a lot of "where did I put that?"
Mental Accuity:
But there wasn't anything wrong with my mental processes; if anything, I am above average for perception. Feeling and seeing it in my mind like I was there, sometimes in a flashback. For example, I remember when I was very young, I took a Timex wristwatch apart, put it back together, and watched the mainspring expand and retract; it still worked. I also liked playing around in the tool room, inventing stuff that would help my mom with the kitchen chores, or fix the car with makeshift parts; stuff like that, I didn't forget. I still like tinkering, inventing little items for use around the house. I would have loved working in a research lab. I worked in an electronics R&D lab for a while, and I loved it, but then the company folded. Sorry about this, I hadn't meant to go on for this long with my comments from the Newsroom.
TODAY'S DISCUSSION:
The God Particle:

Search: The God Particle
The "God particle" is the popular nickname for the Higgs boson, an elementary particle discovered in 2012 that explains how other particles gain mass. It is vital to the Standard Model of physics because, without the underlying Higgs field giving mass, matter as we know it would not exist.
This video explains the origin of the nickname "God Particle":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CufRfgjDusg
• Discovery: The particle was confirmed on July 4, 2012, by ATLAS and CMS collaborations at CERN's Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
• What it does: It acts as a wave or excitation in the Higgs field, which permeates all of space and imparts mass to fundamental particles like quarks and electrons.

My Thoughts:
The racing mind can glimpse the infinite possibilities of the universe, so much information, and for a split second, you see it with clarity, and you yell, "EUREKA!" I found it, and a second later, the image begins to fade, growing foggier and harder to put together in the temporal three-dimensional world.
Physicists labeled it the "God particle," which is the popular nickname for the Higgs boson, an elementary particle that emanates all of space, allowing mass to fundamental particles such as quarks and electrons, as best I can remember.
Is the universe only one Big Bang out of many other Big Bangs? Is it like raindrops in a pond, with gravitational waves forever expanding outward, overlapping one another across the Fabric of Time and Space? How big is infinity? Is infinity empty or full?
Try to describe that with an equation. See, my body may be burned out today, but the light bulb in the attic is still shining brightly, thank you π♀️
Have a pleasant day, stay safe, and be blessed. AMEN!

US expected to deploy paratroopers to the Middle East, as Iran taunts White House
Here's The Latest:
• US troop deployment: Around 1,000 US soldiers with the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division are expected to deploy in coming days to the Middle East, sources told CNN.
• Talks to end war: Iran has taunted the White House by suggesting it may be negotiating with itself after US President Donald Trump expressed optimism about an end to the war. It is still unclear whether Tehran has agreed to any of the terms in a 15-point proposal from the US that sources said was shared with Iran via Pakistan.
• Strikes persist: A residential area in Tehran was hit by an airstrike, according to the Iranian Red Crescent said. Drones struck a fuel tank at Kuwait International Airport, the country’s civil aviation authority said.

Democrat Emily Gregory flips deep-red Florida House district that includes Mar-a-Lago
Democrat Emily Gregory has won a special state House election in a Palm Beach district that includes President Donald Trump’s Florida home of Mar-a-Lago, adding another special election win to a recent string of victories around the country for Democrats.
Tuesday’s election was a prime opportunity for Democrats in the ruby-red Sunshine State to notch a win in a state where the party is often short of them, in a district with political resonance.
Gregory, a business owner and military spouse running for office for the first time, defeats Republican Jon Maples, a former council-member of nearby Lake Shores who first received Trump’s “Complete and Total Endorsement” in January.

This Texas city has just a few months’ worth of water left — and insatiable industry demand
The rapidly receding shoreline of Lake Corpus Christi in Texas has revealed swaths of newly exposed lakebed, left boat docks jutting out into nothingness and uncovered previously submerged remnants of history, from bridges to boathouses.
On a recent visit, local resident Isabel Araiza found parts of the lake so transformed, she could scarcely believe there was ever water there. “It’s just a lawn,” said the college professor and co-founder of For the Greater Good, a local grassroots group focused on water issues.
Lake Corpus Christi is a key water source for the city of Corpus Christi, a petrochemical and oil refining hub nestled on the Gulf coastline, but it has shrunk to historic lows as the region grapples with a five-year drought. It now stands at just over 9% of its capacity. A similar story is unfolding at other lakes the city depends on: Nearby Choke Canyon Reservoir is less than 8% full, and farther northeast, Lake Texana is roughly 50% full...

Province planning to remove HST on new homes for 1 year
Eligible buyers could receive a maximum rebate of $130K for new homes valued up to $1 million for one year
The province is planning to temporarily remove Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) for buyers of new homes. Premier Doug Ford announced the plan Wednesday at a news conference in Mississauga, saying the full 13 per cent tax will be removed for new homes valued up to $1 million from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027.
"For too many families, the dream of home ownership is being pulled out of reach by high costs and economic uncertainty," said Ford. Taxes, development fees and other costs add hundreds of thousands of dollars to the cost of a new home, said Ford...

Canada is pitching its energy ambitions in Texas — can the oil and gas industry be convinced?
Oil and gas execs encouraged by policy changes, still want to see action to support energy sector expansion
In Texas this week for a global energy conference, the federal natural resources minister is proclaiming "Canada is back" and ready to bolster its energy sector and grow exports. The message by Tim Hodgson comes at a time when the world is confronting an energy crisis caused by the U.S.-Israel war against Iran, which is raising fears of a spike in inflation and a possible global recession.
Though industry executives welcomed Hodgson’s enthusiasm at the CERAWeek conference in Houston and the overall direction of the government under Prime Minister Mark Carney, they still say they want to see considerable action before they'll be convinced the federal government is serious — both about becoming an energy superpower and changing the country’s reputation as being reluctant to expand energy supply and exports, especially oil and natural gas...
