Great Spirit bless πŸ™

Hi there πŸ‘‹ well, for now it's sunny and mild out 🌞 For the first time this year, I was able to sit out in my Green Space πŸƒ in my favorite patio chair πŸͺ‘ and enjoy the rising sun. Then I relaxed, listening to the spring birds 🦜 in the trees 🌳 across the way. Now this is what I call spring 🌸🌺 I pray that the town πŸ•πŸͺ never decides to remove that parkland behind our apartment building 🏒 My balcony Green Space and the greenspace I view from it are my Tree House 🏑 I can sit here in that chair and allow my imagination to drift, taking me anywhere in the world 🌏 without the benefit of an aircraft πŸ›©️ " Get your ticket here! What would this world be like without humor, imagination, magic, comedians, and comic books? - πŸ˜‚

And what's the difference between magic, science, and imagination? How far up are we on the evolutionary scale, from the onset of the Big Bang, as compared to now and the end of this cycle of this universe, on a universal scale? How far is infinity? And how many potentialities are there in just one bag of infinity? If you could bag a chunk of the fabric of space-time, you might get enough to sew a patch in your jeans. "I hope you get the genes right this time, boss!" πŸ“£πŸ‘‚πŸ˜Ά‍🌫️ There are a few smiles inside of today's opening. Have fun at whatever you do today, and thank you for reading the Tree House News.

Question: The difference between piracy and the Mafia

AI Overview

Piracy and the Mafia are both organized criminal enterprises, but they differ primarily in their operating environment, structure, and methods: piracy focuses on transient, violent theft at sea (or on digital networks) as "stateless" outlaws, while the Mafia is a structured, land-based organization that embeds itself into legitimate economies through protection rackets and extortion.

Canada, NATO allies ‘met or went beyond 2% target’ for defence spending

For the first time since the end of the Cold War, Canada is spending roughly two per cent of its GDP on national defence — a key NATO alliance commitment Ottawa previously failed to meet.

NATO accounting estimates released Thursday suggest Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government met the key spending benchmark for 2025 by shelling out just over $63 billion. Canada has come under pressure in recent years from its allies — and especially from the U.S. — to dramatically ramp up its military spending.

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said every alliance member has met the spending target for the first time — all because of U.S. President Donald Trump’s rhetoric about free riders in the alliance. “I don’t believe that without the present American administration the whole of NATO would have been meeting the two per cent at the end of 2025,” Rutte told reporters at a press conference in Brussels Thursday...

Carney’s first federal budget laid out nearly $82 billion in defence spending over the coming years, and added an extra $9 billion to the fiscal tables last summer to achieve the two per cent goal.

Trump officials upped their groveling game as the president’s popularity tanks

As Trump desperately searches for an off-ramp to his failing war of choice with Iran, his administration’s loyalists have leaped into action.

President Donald Trump has never been one to project anything other than total self-confidence in his performance, but in recent weeks it’s been plain to see that he is desperately flailing at his job, that he’s feeling the heat from dwindling options and disastrous poll numbers — and that no one is coming to his rescue. Enter the craven careerists of his administration, who in their dear leader’s time of need have elevated their public displays of adulation into new echelons of sycophancy, with little consideration for their own dignity.

As the president fumbles around looking for a “victory” off-ramp to his illegal and failing war of choice with Iran, as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents dither beside airport security lines that stretch for hours while the Department of Homeland Security remains partially shut down, as the national average for a gallon of gas approaches $4, and as a new Reuters/Ipsos poll shows Trump’s approval rating on handling the economy has fallen to a sub-Biden low of 29% — the lickspittles of the Trump administration have added an extra layer of obsequiousness to their hosannas for the president...

• Ever since Trump started a war with Iran, putting in motion events now far beyond his control, his haplessness has left him looking a little needy.
