"Good Mawnin' all!" π§π¦― I pray everyone is safe, happy, and may the Higher Power of your understanding be with you. Well, no Green Space to go hang out this morning, it's warm enough, just too wet π§ so here I am in the Newsroom with a fresh cup of coffee ☕️
You may find out more about me, my strengths, and my weaknesses. It is all documented, like a diary, like I am discussing my experience with another person, I call her my imaginary friend, she's even got a name, Meet Bobbie Magee. Yep, right here in my News Blog in My Cindy's Open House Blog.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:
My DIARY
I am attempting here to tie all the strings together that make up the three different aspects and brand names for my groups. The Fairy Lady and Welcome to The Tree House were the original names. I branched out a couple of times but never found the time to unify them again.
The blog is: https://cindyopenhouse.blogspot.com/
You are welcome to visit my diary of dreams, reality, and its good, bad, and indifference, and its lessons, in other words, THE SCHOOL OF HARD KNOCKS. The scientific, the fantasy, and the spiritual, I don't mind anyone looking through them; they are only the rambling of one person, one individual who once took up space here, and breathed the same air you do, drank the same water on this planet. It's one tiny conscious life experience among many.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if our story were saved on one of those AI Super Data Centers... It's August 13, 2326. Michel hands me the portfolio report with instructions on the inner workings of a brontosaurus. Michel then turns on a switch, and on comes the AI Supercomputer, housed in the ancient monstrocity, a massive concrete crypt filled with endless rows of computing devices. Then begins a flow of data, and out pops my Life's story, Cindy's Open House Blog & the Tree House News. One tiny pixel among a galactic sea of pixels. That blog is not just news; it is also my online diary.
I've dabbled in lots of things, but retired as a social worker serving mental health consumers, alcoholics, and addicts. Or should I say, I SERVED THE PEOPLE, IN THAT CAPACITY - I SERVED MY COUNTRY π IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY I COULD, I AM A FREE SOUL, AND I INTEND TO DIE THAT WAY, FREE, I am also an old Flower Child, Baby Boomer, and I am also a survivalist and I'll whap you with my slipper π©΄ if ya don't listen upπ
I did the necessary work when required, and more diligently as I got older. Fewer stubbed toes along the way π

US gas hits $4 as Trump tells other nations to 'go get your own oil'
Trump again criticized European allies for not getting involved in the war, saying they should "just take" the Strait of Hormuz themselves for fuel.
Here's The Latest:
• Energy costs: The average US gas price has hit $4 a gallon, the highest since 2022. Average prices at the pump are now higher than at any point during President Donald Trump's two terms.
• Trump decries allies: Trump again criticized European allies for not getting more involved in the war, demanding the UK and other countries in need of jet fuel go to the Strait of Hormuz and "just TAKE IT."
• US troops: As speculation mounts over a possible US ground operation in Iran, the USS Tripoli, believed to be carrying Marines, is in the Indian Ocean, said US Central Command. The Pentagon is currently holding a press briefing about the war.
• Latest strikes: A desalination plant on Iran's Qeshm Island has been taken out of service in an airstrike, semi-official state media reported, as cities across Iran were hit by fresh airstrikes. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti tanker was attacked by Iran, and cars in central Israel caught fire due to falling missile fragments.

Behind the scenes and in front of cameras, Hegseth serving as top cheerleader for military power in Iran war
In the immediate lead-up to the first bombs being dropped on Iran last month, President Donald Trump met with a small group of advisers to discuss options.
He made it clear that he wanted to launch a military campaign alongside Israel, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CNN.
It was at that moment, before an operation, that prior defense secretaries would typically stress to the president that there were potential downsides to such a move. In the case of Iran strikes, those would include the likely economic fallout should Tehran retaliate by closing the Strait of Hormuz and the limits of a military air campaign when it comes to destroying the country’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium or in fomenting regime change.
But Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth not only validated the president’s idea to move forward, he also downplayed the inherent risks of the conflict spiraling out of control, according to three sources familiar with the matter. Nobody in the room during that critical meeting emphasized the potential risks of starting the war Sources insisted that Hegseth didn’t push the war on Trump, but once it was clear what the president was going to decide, Hegseth served as one of the biggest cheerleaders....

Brendan Carr said the quiet part out loud at CPAC — touting Trump’s Orbanization of America
The FCC chair bragged about the president’s “wins,” including the MAGAfication of wide swaths of media.
Of all the Trump administration’s sycophants, Federal Communications Commission chair Brendan Carr may be the most try-hard — and he proved it Thursday during his comments on stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Grapevine, Texas. In his fervor to tout the successes of President Donald Trump, Carr unwittingly admitted that the administration’s goal is the Orbanization of America, and that he takes pride in trying to make that happen.
Ranting about the “legacy national media” — which he also referred to as “the fake news media” — Carr claimed the president “smashed the facade,” and said, “You don’t get to decide what we say, what we think, how we’re going to vote inside the voting booth.” But because Carr is arguably the most eager-to-please attack poodle in Trump’s kennel, he couldn’t help but reveal what MAGA considers “winning.”
“Look at the results so far. PBS defunded. NPR defunded,” Carr boasted, before rattling off a few names of television journalists who no longer hold their previous high-profile jobs. Then he gave the game away: “[Stephen] Colbert is leaving. CBS is under new ownership. And soon enough, CNN is going to have new ownership as well.”
