Great Spirit bless 🙏
Good Morning all!' Grey clouds 🌫️, but the boids are 🎵🎶 🐥🦜🐦⬛🐦🔥🐦, and it's nice and mild out. I even went out into my Green Space, dressed only in my nightgown, and sat in a patio chair 🌳🪑🪴 for a couple of minutes to relax and contemplate the day ahead. It was raining, a soft, gentle, peaceful rain that was so relaxing. I was kept dry by the balcony platform of the apartment above, which protrudes over us and serves like a shed roof that works well under less than gale-force winds and torrential rains 💦😱☂️ Don't mind the Wayward wind 💨 though. I tried to follow that wind when I was younger, my learnin' years.

I lived the waywardwind, and it brought me to where I am today. I wouldn't give up where it got me today, for all the gold I could steal from all the crooks in the world. Justice will be restored soon.
I'm a little late getting started today. Reorganizing, changing, and regrouping some of my emoticons that I have personally collected for my groups was an excursion down the rabbit hole! Maybe I'm a bit slow today, too. I believe and hope the Icons may help those who are not fluent in English. I noticed that many social networks don't have translators, unless you download your own.

Thank you, dear followers, for visiting and reading the news. Now it is time to get on with the news.
I may be MUCH LATER POSTING THE NEWS today due to a medical appointment I have at 12:00 noon, and having doddled around may mean I have to finish the news when I get back this afternoon. I AM NOT IMPRESSED.

Question: Finding Peace in Turmoil
AI Overview
Finding peace in turmoil involves intentionally anchoring yourself through self-care, controlling your focus, and limiting external noise. Key strategies include limiting news/social media, practicing gratitude, exercising, maintaining supportive relationships, and accepting what you cannot control. Grounding techniques, such as meditation, deep breathing, and purposeful action, can help calm inner turbulence...
Finding Peace Within
I know from experience, this is not easy. I still have problems with it at times. Letting go of something I couldn't control was hard. I learned to accept when there is nothing further physically I can do, then send the intent through prayer and meditation, and "BELIEVE!" Truly believe in your heart. Because without the belief, the prayer doesn't mean much more than a dust mote floating in the air currents at sea.

US eyes potential second round of in-person talks with Iran as blockade takes hold
Marathon talks that failed to produce a breakthrough between the United States and Iran were not the final word in negotiations, officials in the US and the region said Monday, as the contours of the two sides’ disagreement — primarily over Tehran’s nuclear ambitions — came into sharper focus.
In Islamabad on Saturday, American negotiators proposed a 20-year pause on Iran enriching uranium, a source familiar with the discussions said. Iran responded with a proposal for a five-year suspension, which the US has rejected, according to a US official. The gap, for now, remains unresolved. But the detail illustrates the challenges ahead in the negotiations.
President Donald Trump remains open to resuming in-person negotiations soon if he believes Tehran is ready to submit to his demands, according to people familiar with the matter...

Was he kidding?’ Trump reacts to FEMA official’s claim he teleported to Waffle House
For years, Gregg Phillips — now a senior FEMA official — has told stories that blur the boundary between the ordinary and the supernatural.
A dead girlfriend once lifted his car off the road to avoid a crash. Satan once spoke to him while he walked across Spain. After collapsing inside an Indianapolis Lowe’s, he came to in a McDonald’s parking lot across the street with 15,000 steps logged on his health app, a Big Mac in his lap, and little understanding of what had just happened.
In telling these stories across various right-wing podcasts, Phillips has said many of the experiences occurred while he was in and out of treatment for metastatic bone cancer. Rather than undergo chemotherapy, Phillips says he chose instead to rely on a self-directed regimen of ivermectin and fenbendazole, antiparasitic drugs commonly used to deworm animals...

Carney temporarily suspending federal fuel excise tax on gas, diesel and aviation fuel
Measure will see 10 cents on a litre of gas, 4 cents on litre of diesel removed starting Monday
A day after sweeping three byelections in Ontario and Quebec that gave him a majority in the House of Commons, Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced that he is temporarily removing the federal excise tax on gas and diesel. The move means that the cost of gas will drop by ten cents on a litre of gasoline and four cents per litre of diesel starting Monday and lasting until Labour Day.
The fuel tax holiday, which Carney said would also see the four cent per litre excise tax removed on aviation fuel, is expected to cost an estimated $2.4 billion. "We all know that because of the war with Iran fuel prices have increased sharply around the world including right here in Canada," Carney said in Ottawa Tuesday...

CBC investigation finds grocers Loblaw, Sobeys overcharging for underweight meat — again
Findings come 1 year after similar CBC probe found grocers selling underweight meat
A CBC News secret shopping investigation has uncovered — once again — several Loblaw-owned and Sobeys-affiliated stores overcharging for underweight meat, despite claims last year the grocery giants had taken steps to rectify the problem.
"People are getting ripped off," said Terri Lee, a former inspector with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Lee, who spent 24 years with the federal food regulator before retiring in 2021, estimates misweighed meat costs Canadian shoppers millions of dollars annually.
"Obviously, these retail stores are not to be trusted that the weight on the package is accurate," she said. Over the past two months, CBC visited 17 Loblaw-owned or Sobeys-affiliated stores in the Toronto, Vancouver and Halifax areas, targeting packaged fresh meat sold by weight...

Raskin offers bill setting up 25th Amendment process to remove Trump from office
Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., wants to set up a new commission to determine whether Trump is mentally fit for office.
Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, introduced a bill on Tuesday that seeks to kick-start the removal of President Donald Trump through the 25th Amendment — a long-shot effort that, while unlikely to succeed, aims to put renewed focus on the president’s mental fitness and recent rhetoric.
The legislation, which was offered with 50 Democratic co-sponsors, would establish a Commission on Presidential Capacity to Discharge the Powers and Duties of Office. That body would be composed of 17 members tasked with determining whether the president is incapacitated — “either mentally or physically” — and unable to discharge the powers and duties of office, as called for in Section 4 of the 25th Amendment. In introducing the bill, Raskin pointed to Trump’s recent rhetoric on the war in Iran, his actions in the Middle East and the photo he posted on social media depicting himself as Jesus. (Trump later claimed he was portraying himself as a doctor.)...
