Good morning. So I do pray π for all. Thank you, Great Spirit π. It's grey, cloudy, and cool out there, so sad to say I didn't spend as much time in my Green Space as I usually would, ruminating and meditating on things. That's when I sit and sip my coffee; I get inspired and fired up, so I already know which heck to go after before getting behind the laptop to write up the Tree House News.

I think that a crude oil pipeline between Hardisty, Alberta, and Sarnia, Ontario, is a sensible idea that will help Canada move closer to energy independence. Still, the project must bring all stakeholders to the table from the start. I saw no mention of the Indigenous Peoples affected by the construction of that pipeline through their land, nor a word about how they might benefit from its presence on an ongoing basis.
I don't know who felt compelled to announce this project. Their exclusion of Native stakeholders is a blunder and looks dishonest, with the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation being observed on September 30.
The news that the healthcare provider, Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS), is cutting 413 jobs, including 143 nurses, to help offset a projected $150 million budget deficit for 2026-27, which reflects a refined estimate of its financial position, needs investigation. If you owed a business or the tax collectors a huge sum of money and sought relief from your debt by cutting your spending, don't you think your creditors would look further into your plan to stay out of bankruptcy? You've received a portion of the hundreds of billions of dollars given by the federal and provincial governments for healthcare FOR THE PEOPLE OF ONTARIO!
