TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡
Land of Whispering Pines 🌲
Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏
Well, the weather forecast was supposed to be sunny.
My observation is that if it remains cool and cloudy, I fear that the short summer spell we had is coming to an end sooner than it should; the past few cool, overcast days are a good indication of that. Feels more like early fall, like October—about a month and a half sooner than usual. Other than that, there is not much more to report from the Newsroom this morning, except for a minor conflict, which was not intentional, but just happened, and I thought I would share it with you all this morning as a topic for discussion. It hurts when people don't understand.
With fall just around the corner, the trend will be more cloudy than sunny. If that's the case, we are going to have a bugger of a winter, longer than usual. The rebound effect is one that few, even environmentalists, would think about. An instinct, if you may. I am beginning to believe that La Niña and El Niño are fighting each other for the last throne in the environmental kingdom of Nature. I wish more people in this world could simply feel things, you know, just know something by feeling what they are observing. Reading a book and feeling the emotions of the character as if you were experiencing the story through their eyes. Or not only observe the flower but feel what it feels.
I'm just like anyone else; I have a short fuse, and I get angry. I feel all the emotions that others feel, and then some. However, not many people in the general population understand me too well. When I'm upset, I have no intention of dumping it on anyone else; my only purpose is to vent. Then, most people get upset or nonplussed because they don't get the drift.
I sometimes entertain the idea of carrying a boxing glove with a brick in it, but I would not hurt a fly, literally. 🪰 I am nonviolent and nonconfrontational.
I have a short-term memory for the mundane, but for the building blocks that got me to where I am, nothing is forgotten. Some of the data that is stored in my memory can be recalled vividly in detail. However, I have a slightly heightened awareness of details, the energy emitted by every living thing, and I sense the emotions and feelings in that environment as if they were my own.
The entire reason for this small inventory of my own experiences with emotions and feelings of an Empath is to share my belief that THIS COULD BE A WAY TO END ALL WARS. And it's not that hard to learn to be in harmony.
Consider this and strive to live a little more harmoniously each day.
Take a Moment for Prayer And Meditation 🙏🙇♀️

BREAKING NEWS:
Russia carries out its biggest attack in more than a month while accusing Ukraine of not being interested in peace
Russia launched its largest drone and missile salvo on Ukraine in more than a month, Ukrainian authorities said Thursday, as Moscow accused Kyiv of not being interested in a “sustainable, fair and long-term settlement.”
Nine civilians were killed in the strikes as well as in shelling in eastern Ukraine, officials said. The attacks come just days after US President Donald Trump held a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska, followed by a White House summit with Zelensky and European leaders, in pursuit of an end to the conflict.
But since then, there have been few signs of tangible progress. Russia’s foreign minister poured cold water on the idea of a leaders’ summit and security guarantees for Kyiv, saying that the Kremlin won’t accept the placement of any foreign troops in Ukraine. In its overnight attack, Russia launched a total of 574 strike drones and 40 missiles on Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Thursday, hitting as far west as the city of Lviv...
Kremlin pours cold water on bilateral meeting
Moscow’s comments, meanwhile, have openly contradicted the White House narrative that plans for a bilateral meeting between Putin and Zelensky are “underway.”...

Rip currents are still a risk for the East Coast today. Here's what to watch for
Rip currents are strong channels of water that flow away from the shore, often forming at breaks in sandbars and close to structures like piers. Tropical systems also cause them as they stir up the ocean. There’s a high risk of rip currents along much of the East Coast today and tomorrow thanks to Erin. Here’s what to watch for, according to the United States Lifesaving Association:
- a narrow gap of darker, seemingly calmer water between areas of breaking waves and whitewater:
- a difference in water color:
- a line of foam, seaweed or debris moving seaward:
- a channel of churning, choppy water:

Yes, self-defence is allowed in Canada. 'Misinformation' abounds as man charged in assault of intruder: lawyer
Police in Lindsay, Ont., have faced criticism for charging man after alleged home intruder injured
After a decision to charge a man for allegedly assaulting an intruder in his home in Lindsay, Ont., sparked widespread reaction this week, one criminal lawyer has a reminder for the public: self-defence is legal in Canada, but within reason.
The Kawartha Lakes Police Service has faced criticism for charging a 44-year-old man after an altercation that left the alleged intruder with life-threatening injuries Monday morning in the small town northeast of Toronto. Police have provided few details but say the resident is facing charges for aggravated assault and assault with a weapon, and the intruder, who is also facing charges, was airlifted to hospital afterward...

No Mi'kmaw ownership in gas plant yet, despite company claims
Indigenous investment stake in project will depend on outcome of rights-impact assessment, group says
Mi'kmaw communities have not made a financial investment in a proposed natural gas plant and may never own a stake in the project, despite company claims to the contrary. ProEnergy, the U.S. company hired by N.B. Power to build the plant in Tantramar, has promoted an Indigenous ownership stake in the project, a claim repeated by Premier Susan Holt.
"North Shore Mi'kmaq Tribal Council is a minority equity holder in the project," Landon Tessner, ProEnergy's vice-president commercial, said during a public meeting in July organized by the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada...
