Trump previews ‘amazing’ autism announcement Monday that’s expected to focus on pain reliever, vitamin deficiency

President Donald Trump’s speech at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service on Sunday took a detour into previewing an announcement he plans to make from the Oval Office on Monday about autism.

“I think you’re going to find it to be amazing,” he said. “I think we found an answer to autism.” Although he didn’t offer any details on what he planned to say about autism, Trump said his administration “won’t let it happen anymore.” “I think it’s going to be one of the most important news conferences I’ll ever have, and I look so forward to it,” he said, adding he believed Kirk would have also looked forward to the event

Monday’s announcement is expected to link the development of autism in children with use of the pain reliever Tylenol during pregnancy, along with low levels of folate, a vitamin that is important for proper development of a baby’s brain and spine, the Wall Street Journal reported earlier this month. It will also name folinic acid, a form of folate also known as leucovorin, as a way to decrease symptoms of autism.

Folate supplements are already recommended during pregnancy to prevent neural tube defects, such as spina bifida, in infants...

When the mayor of Colwood, B.C., went for an appointment with his family doctor in 2022, he was in for a rude surprise The doctor was moving away.

"I was absolutely stunned," Doug Kobayashi said.

Kobayashi, who's been mayor of the city near Victoria since 2022, could have waited for the B.C government to step in with a plan to attract doctors eventually, but he didn't. Instead, he stepped up with a solution of his own that could create a blueprint for other communities across the country struggling to attract and retain family doctors...

Well, the last plan to attract US doctors to come to Canada didn't even draw a fly! You know why? Remember, they were going to allow the doctors to work at their profession provisionally with whatever papers they had from their homes. They had six months to obtain certification from the provinces where they intended to practice. That never happened; Ford never changed the rules. They have a Dunce Brigade in the US, and we have a platoon of oldtimers with moron's syndrome in charge here.

The news today simply is too dense and heavy with disappointment and discouragement to even allow the tiniest light of hope in. Like a black hole, eh?

Transport Canada scaled back its summertime surveillance of the Arctic this year for pollution, endangered whale protection and marine safety, CBC News has learned.
