TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

Well, I'm alive and well, but not yet ready to dance. 💃 But each day, as the toxins slowly leave my body, I am gradually getting back to full functionality. I actually sipped some coffee this morning without any ill effect. I am not pushing anything, though. What's the point if it causes me to spray lunch?

It's overcast and 38° F, which is a little closer to normal than the last couple of days. Yesterday was beautiful, even if it was cold. With the sun shining brightly and no wind, it was nice enough for me to sit in my Green Space for a while, just wearing a jacket.

A lot of snow, and down to as low as 15° F north of Toronto, and south of the border; it seems the weather was harsher there, just as cold. More snow, actually: some places, like Buffalo, New York State, and Ohio, were even colder with lots more snow, while here on the Niagara Peninsula we got zilch, and the coldest morning we got was about 20° F. You can't really depend on more than a 75% accuracy rate in the weather forecast during the winter up here, and that's the fortcast for the bad weather.

For as long as I can remember, from October to April, when forecasting the weather, you don't need to watch it on TV. One could simply wet their thumb, stick it in the air, and say, "It's going to be cloudy with sunny showers, and a sprinkling of snow," and they would be right 99% of the time 🌥️ 🌨️ 🌫️

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

Before we begin the discussion for the day

MAY WE PAUSE FOR A MOMENT TO PRAY FOR THE ILL, THE DISABLED, THE HOMELESS, AND THE SUFFERING?

I learned what that is like. In the past 25 years. *Speaking of REDEMPTION!

I nearly died from illness, 4 TIMES! AND BEING ILL IS NOT FUN!

I was lucky, or I was lucky G-d was looking after me; there certainly was nothing or nobody else around to do it, and certainly not me. I wanted out of the shit show.

I'm lucky, or blessed, I managed to get enough income to survive.

NOW, I have a pension; nobody is GOING TO STEAL IT FROM ME.

I have HEALTH INSURANCE, a roof over my head, and food on the table. Many in the UNITED STATES will not even have that come by this time next year. LET US PRAY FOR ALL THE DISABLED, THE HOMELESS, and the ILL

"AMEN!"

Cindy takes the preacher's collar off and hangs it on the hook on the way down from the podium, turns to the congregation, salutes, then says, STAGE LEFT! as she leaves in a cloud of dust for the local bar across the street. *JOKE!* and fibbing a little too, I ain't drunk in goin' on ta thirty years now. A bit of weed, *rumatiz medicin*. Occasionally, for the rumatiz, ya know, and I certainly got me a good lot of rumatiz!

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

THE GREAT FALL

WHAT WILL AMARICA BE LIKE IN Dec. 6, 2026

- Google Search -

The U.S. isn't expected to "fall" by next year. Still, rather face continued economic shifts (AI boost, potential slowing) and political polarization, with some envisioning a more authoritarian turn under specific leadership, increased nativism, and growing social tensions, while longer-term issues like climate impacts and debt loom, creating a volatile period of potential transformation, not collapse, according to expert analyses and projections.

Me Question: The fall of the American Empire in 2026

The "fall of the American empire in 2026" isn't a single event but a narrative within broader discussions about American decline, citing factors like political polarization, national debt, economic shifts (rise of China), and institutional dysfunction as signs of waning power, though many sources suggest a gradual, slow process rather than a sudden collapse, with some commentators predicting critical junctures around the mid-2020s (2025-2030) for significant changes.

HOW CAN A COUNTRY GOVERN IF IT HAS NO GOVERNMENT outside of a bunch of DUNCE CADETS running around in circles like loose cannons on deck trying to please Trumpo The Typo? But that is the outlook I found in a - Google Search - I think the report is as full of 💩 as a Christmas 🦃

I believe that;

THE GREATEST CHANGE AND DAMAGE WILL BE FELT AT HOME, FIRST!

I would be more inclined to believe the statistics shared to us by Tom Bilyeu

~ IMPACT THEORY ~

The signs are everywhere economic decay, social division, political chaos.

The loadbearing walls of the American system are cracking.

BREAKING NEWS:

The ‘war on drugs’ felt over. Donald Trump restarted it

The Trump administration’s undeclared war on what it calls “narco-terrorists” in Latin America opens an aggressive new chapter in US history and reignites the war on drugs.

Declared by President Richard Nixon in the 1970s, the war on drugs is a decades-long campaign, woven into American foreign, justice and public health policy, to forcefully stop the flow of drugs into the US and harshly punish traffickers, dealers and even users. It has also recently been regarded — by academics, activists and policymakers — as a failure. Drugs remain a major problem. Their flow into the US has not stopped. The recent trend was away from harsh penalties that predominantly impacted Black and Brown people and toward treatment and education...

  • A new front in the war on drugs:
  • Nixon’s ‘all-out offensive’:
  • Trump seeks justice outside the justice system:
  • The US considered this type of offensive before, but not without allies:
  • The war actually started long before Nixon:
  • A wink and a nod here; regime change there:
  • The war on drugs had been on the decline:

FDA in turmoil after exit of veteran cancer researcher

Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Marty Makary is under renewed scrutiny by Trump officials amid continued turmoil at the agency, including a series of high-profile departures that have raised questions in the administration about Makary’s ability to lead, according to two people familiar with conversations.

The pending exit of Dr. Richard Pazdur, a veteran researcher who pioneered the FDA’s approach to cancer treatments, has caused the most concern, sources say. Pazdur plans to retire this month just weeks after accepting a role heading the FDA’s largest division overseeing prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines and pharmacy staples. Pazdur’s departure comes amid wider clashes with FDA top brass over who should lead the agency’s key departments, and how to balance sped-up drug reviews with quality control, according to three people familiar with the dynamics within the agency...

Netflix has a big unanswered question. That may kill its Warner Bros. deal

Netflix’s shocking $72 billion bid to buy Warner Bros. and HBO is the rare corporate mega-merger that can shift the tectonic plates of an entire industry and permanently change the way all of its participants do business. In other words: It’s the kind of deal that could force antitrust regulators to put away their rubber stamps and take out their magnifying glasses.

Hollywood is at a precarious moment, upset by rapidly changing consumer behavior fueled by significant growth of tech rivals, including YouTube, TikTok and, well, Netflix. That has created massive uncertainty for legacy movie and television businesses. Hollywood acknowledges that its industry is in crisis and needs to adapt – perhaps through consolidation...

Why Danielle Smith's government is not withstanding many court challenges

UCP stepping in on legal files, from transgender policies to referendums to 'conservative' party names

It’s been hard to keep track of how many legal challenges and active court proceedings the United Conservative government has tried to quash or pre-emptively block in the last six weeks, but let’s try to tally:

  • The notwithstanding clause to thwart separate constitutional challenges by the Canadian Medical Association (1) and 2SLGBTQ+ advocacy groups (2) against Alberta’s ban on some transgender youth health care.

  • Notwithstanding clause against those advocacy groups’ challenge against the school pronouns law (3).
  • Notwithstanding clause against any potential challenges against the ban on transgender women in women’s sports (4).
  • Notwithstanding clause against teachers’ potential challenge to the strike-ending and imposed contract (5).
  • Bill 12’s provision to block public sector pensions from suing over the Alberta wealth management fund’s past trading losses (6).
  • And then the measure in this week’s Bill 14 designed to discontinue the court hearing about the constitutionality of a citizen’s initiative petition for Alberta separation from Canada (7).

One could argue there’s an eighth case the UCP government’s legislation would nullify if passed — one filed by the United Conservative Party itself...
