TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏑

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you πŸ™

Here it is, Monday morning coming down, darn cold out there, 18° F, but little snow. This time, I woke up with a toothache or aching where the teeth had been extracted, not excruciatingly so, just enough to keep me awake. What I fear most about extreme cold and no snow is that it could cause water mains to break. I hope not. But it's always nice to be prepared, like the stunt person needs a soft prop, like a net or airbag, to break their fall after they jump over the precipice.

We're even prepared for a possible water shortage; we have six five-gallon bottles of spring water stored up here at all times for our water cooler. The last time we had a power outage, we got to try out our two solar generators, the big and the little one. With enough south-facing windows to charge the solar panels, it's in the bag. Both worked fine. That's just part of our short-term survival kit.

I figure if we have two months' worth of survival supplies stored, and we have used them up, there ain't nobody out there a' comin' to rescue, our butts. But we are not stranded; we do have a good Jeep, only two years old, which can take us places, too. We just need to figure out which way to point it.

Zelensky to huddle with European leaders in London as Kremlin praises Trump's new security strategy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with European leaders in London on Monday, in a show of solidarity, after US President Donald Trump accused him of not reading the latest peace proposal, and as the Kremlin praised America's new, harder posture towards Europe.

Trump criticized Zelensky on Sunday after talks between US and Ukrainian negotiators over the weekend in Miami ended with unresolved questions over security guarantees, territorial issues, and continued concern that the US proposal tilts in Russia's favor. "We've been speaking to [Russian] President [Vladimir] Putin, and we've been speaking to Ukrainian leaders, including… President Zelensky, and I have to say that I'm a little bit disappointed that President Zelensky hasn't yet read the proposal, which was as of a few hours ago," Trump said...

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

Zelensky & European Leaders

My Opinion Only.

This is what I was talking about yesterday, about the UN and the EU being as useless as a bunch of chicken-livered cowards as far as Putin goes. Trumpo the Typo? Just give him a hero biscuit, THE WHOLE BLOODY WORLD IT SEEMS, wanna hide under a rock when it comes to those two nut cases, πŸ§† πŸ‘#1 🌰 πŸ’Ό#2 Trumpo the Typo and Putin the Puddin', both as crazy as BED BUGS, πŸ›️ πŸͺ² πŸͺ² πŸͺ² both in charge of the big red button πŸ”΄ On one side, you have the clap. On the other side, you have syphilis, and both are dizzier than a couple of shithouse rats πŸ€ πŸ›– They will lob bombs at each other no matter who wins or loses because they're NUTS πŸ§†πŸŒ°πŸ«˜ Psychopaths don't think; they just do, without consequence or consciousness. THEY WILL ATTEMPT TO ANNIHILATE ONE ANOTHER. CAN A THIEF TRUST ANOTHER THIEF IN A DEN OF THIEVES? Whoever is left holding the bag gets the lead pill.

If you can't trust them, maybe a PREEMPTIVE STRIKE IS CALLED FOR. Hit before they do, AND DON'T MISS! But chicken-livered European Leaders, the EU, and NATO won't do it; they all have a bad case of constipation, or is it amnesia when it comes to both Gaza and Ukraine. They would sooner kneel at Trumpo The Typo's feet and give him nonesence medals to appease the Rusty Tin Can god when they should be wrapping their hands around his neck and shaking the bejesus out of him until his insane little brain rattles its way out of his right ear.

European Leaders, THIS SITTING AROUND TWIDDLING THUMBS AIN'T GETTING ANYONE ANYWHERE. But then it appears as though everyone is preparing to kneel at the feet of these CHEEP PSYCHOPATHIC RUSTY TIN CAN gods. Or is that what the world wants to have as their national flag to wave, that ugly, rotten, old Nazi crooked cross! If that's so, please place me on my stomach with a puke bucket in my coffin and kiss my ever-lovin' butt as you walk by.

Trump’s first problem on the economy and health care: admitting he’s got a problem

President Donald Trump has a fresh chance this week to act on a priority voters continually say they want fixed — but over which he’s in denial.

The high and rising prices of health care, groceries and housing are a leading impediment to the lives of millions of Americans. But Trump, not unusually for presidents, seems more interested in his own political goals and obsessions. Americans wracked by economic insecurity can’t wait. Nor can Republican lawmakers, who fear the president’s response — which is largely to blame his predecessor Joe Biden — will doom their reelection chances next year...

  • Why the latest Obamacare fight is so crucial:
  • Trump’s efforts to show he shares economic pain often backfire:

Marjorie Taylor Greene defiant since announcing resignation after falling-out with Trump

GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene stood defiant in her first interview since announcing her resignation from Congress, making clear she’s not afraid to speak out on the issues that made President Donald Trump “furious” with her, including her support for releasing all files related to accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

“He was extremely angry at me that I had signed the discharge petition to release the files,” Greene said in an interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes” that aired Sunday evening. She said her concerns lie with survivors of the convicted sex offender’s abuse, who she said are “asking for all of it to come out.”

“They deserve it. And he was furious with me,” she said. In an announcement last month that shocked many in Washington and in her district, the Georgia Republican said she would resign from her seat early next year amid a feud with her longtime ally...

Trump lauds 'good relationship' with Carney but won't say if they'll restart trade talks

Comments come days after Canada, U.S. and Mexico leaders spoke at World Cup event

U.S. President Donald Trump spoke highly of Canada on Sunday. But when asked if he would restart trade talks with his northern neighbour, he replied with a vague, "We'll see."

While on his way to a gala at the Kennedy Center in Washington, Trump said he had a "very good, very productive" talk on Friday with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum at the sidelines of a World Cup draw event.

A spokesperson for Carney said those talks were "constructive." But on restarting the trade talks with Canada, which were suspended in October after the U.S. president bristled at anti-tariff ads run by the province of Ontario during the World Series, Trump was non-committal, only saying "we'll work it out."...

Majority of Ontario fraud cases tossed since 2020 due to limited resources: Crowns’ association

Fraud still on the rise across Canada, incidents in Ontario more than doubled over last decade

The majority of fraud cases in Ontario have ended with charges being stayed or withdrawn since 2020 because of COVID-19-related backlogs, the growing complexity of frauds, and a lack of resources in the province’s criminal justice system, according to the Ontario Crown Attorneys’ Association.

“When there aren't enough resources, Crowns are put in the unenviable position of having to prioritize,” said Lesley Pasquino, the association’s president. “It's not something that we want to do; every criminal offence has an impact on someone.”...

Paramount Skydance makes $108B hostile bid for Warner Bros. Discovery after Netflix move

U.S. President Donald Trump weighed in on Netflix's planned acquisition on Sunday

Paramount Skydance on Monday launched a hostile bid worth $108.4 billion US for Warner Bros. Discovery, throwing a wrench into the deal with Netflix in a last-ditch effort to create a media powerhouse that would challenge the dominance of the streaming giant.

The streaming giant had emerged victorious on Friday from a weeks-long bidding war with Paramount and Comcast, securing a $72-billion equity deal for Warner Bros. Discovery's TV, film studios and streaming assets. The announcement comes less than a day after U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters that a Netflix-Warner Bros. combination could raise market share concerns for regulators...

Theft is a Destroyer Of Economics

The statement that theft is a destroyer of economies is widely supported by economic and social analysis, as it undermines the foundations of prosperity and a functional society. While some niche economic theories might argue it is merely a wealth transfer, the consensus is that its overall impact is negative due to a variety of damaging effects.
