Great Spirit bless π
Morning π everyone π©π¦³π©π±π»♀️π©π»π¦°π©π»π§π½πΆπ§ It's another beautiful sunrise here at the Tree House Newsroom π°πͺ My prayer π today goes to everyone who needs and deserves something good or better to happen in their lives. Amen! π♀️
To have a purpose in life; live for a goal; live for incentives, accomplishments, advancement, and the satisfaction of doing what you can do to advance or change things for the better for yourself as well as others around you.
Pick a position and don't procrastinate, or you may never get another crack at it, and you'll never know how it could have turned out. Go for it, man! Do what you feel in your heart. Get ahead by making a decision, maybe something different, but something that feels right within you.
What others can do to help: show appreciation, like the proverbial pat on the back from the boss, maybe even a small bonus now and again, and recognition for your diligent work, or at least to be thanked and appreciated for your well-rendered services, and paid fairly for your work as it should be; that was all I needed to keep me going for 25 years of social work.
I've written a description of an ideal career progression. Things don't always work this way. There are fewer small or medium-sized employers, and recognition has tended to become rarer. Earning seniority is harder in today's employment climate. If I were planning my career this morning, I would set a clear goal for personal advancement, decide where to start, and identify other employers where my skills and personal assets would be valued. Above all, you need guts and confidence: the guts to go after a job and the confidence that you're the best person to do it.*_

*ME* Question: Corporate theft in Canada epidemic proportion
*AI* Did you mean: Corporate theft in Canada epidemic proportion
πΉAI Overview
Corporate and retail theft in Canada has escalated to what business leaders and law enforcement call "epidemic" or "national crisis" proportions. Driven by sophisticated organized retail crime (ORC) networks, cyber-enabled scams, and internal employee misconduct, financial losses have surged dramatically over the last few years. Total losses across the retail sector alone now sit between $9 billion and $10 billion annually, nearly doubling since 2018.
Organized Retail Crime (ORC)
• Massive Financial Toll: The Retail Council of Canada (RCC) reports that retail inventory "shrink" costs businesses roughly $9.1 billion to $10 billion per year. *- Retail Council of Canada -*
• The Black Market Loop: Unlike petty shoplifting, professional crime rings systematically clear shelves of electronics, cosmetics, and perishable items (like meat and cheese) to buffer black-market warehouses and online resale platforms. *- Globe and Mail -*
• Rising Workplace Violence: Roughly 45% of retail theft incidents now involve threats or direct violence against grocery and retail staff, severely compromising worker safety. *- Globe and Mail -*

Faced with what many call a "high-profit, low-penalty" judicial system, organizations are implementing rigid defensive steps:
• Allocating up to 1.5% of total sales strictly to loss prevention and dedicated security personnel.
• Mandating multi-factor authentication (MFA) and digital identity verification to block synthetic corporate identity fraud.
• Partnering with regional police units (such as Ontario's BEAR unit) to crack down on recurring, high-volume retail fence rings.

And the CORPORATE THIEVES HAVE what they want in AMERICA: a bunch of PIRATES robbing the POOR aboard THE GOOD SHIP AMERICA, A SHIP FILLED WITH HOPE AND DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS; NOW THE REST OF ITS RICHES ARE SLOWLY SINKING BELOW THE WATERS OF THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ.
Question: NOW, *AI*, HOW ABOUT: HOW CORPORATIONS ARE STEALING FROM THE PUBLIC?
πΉAI Overview
Public and regulatory scrutiny over how major tech corporations build and monetize artificial intelligence has intensified. Critics, content creators, and legal experts increasingly argue that the AI boom relies on forms of structural exploitation.
Based on current legal battles and public advocacy reports, artificial intelligence corporations are accused of taking value from the public in several distinct ways:
1. The "Mass Theft" of Creative and Intellectual Property
The core architecture of generative AI relies on large language models (LLMs) that require massive datasets to function. Major tech companies have scraped billions of pages of human-generated content from across the internet without seeking explicit consent, offering attribution, or providing financial compensation.
- YouTube -
Journalism and Media Strip-Mining: Publishers like The New York Times and News Corp have filed lawsuits alleging that AI firms "strip-mine" their original reporting. Critics point out that after training on this data, AI search overviews directly compete with publishers, destroying traffic to original websites and hollowing out public interest journalism.
- The Media Copilot -
The Creative Economy: Authors, musicians, and artists argue that tech companies are engaging in an unauthorized, large-scale appropriation of copyrighted work. On public forums like Reddit, a general consensus has emerged among critics that using unconsented intellectual property to train a tool that generates billions in corporate profit is fundamentally a form of corporate theft.

2. Disappearing Public Knowledge and "Book Hoarding"
3. Extraction of Labor and Data Without Compensation
4. Weaponization of Public Data via Fraud:

BREAKING NEWS RECAP:
Where Trump sees a deal, Putin sees a win for Russia
NEWS VIDEO | Included:
Moscow — If only Donald Trump were President of Russia, he would surely agree a quick and easy deal to end the brutal Ukraine war, even – he might suggest – in as little as 24 hours.
It is, from Trump’s point of view, a no-brainer.
Not only would a resolution to the grinding conflict, now in its fifth year, halt the killing of what Trump refers to as the thousands of “young, beautiful kids” being slaughtered every month on the front lines, but it would – crucially – also be immensely profitable.
Sanctions on Moscow could be swept away while lucrative trade deals would inevitably ensue. Peace and prosperity, in other words, would prevail...

Fists fly in S.C. as Trump tries to rally unenthusiastic voters behind Darline Graham
President Trump traveled to South Carolina to boost Sen. Darline Graham — the second time in as many months — but some of his supporters remain unenthusiastic or undecided about her candidacy.
PENDLETON, S.C. — Sparks, and even a few punches, flew at President Donald Trump’s rally in South Carolina Wednesday night, as he tried to mobilize voters behind Sen. Darline Graham in the Palmetto State’s unexpectedly competitive Senate race.
The effort was an uphill battle from the start, and it didn’t get easier. Trump arrived in Pendleton to a crowd of supporters excited about his presence but unenthused about Graham’s candidacy, with voters still unsure who the novice senator is and what she stands for.
Almost immediately, the protests started.
Roughly five minutes into Trump’s speech, security escorted at least four protesters out of the event...

Minister giving Stelco owner 15 days to reverse layoffs before turning to the courts
Ohio-based Cleveland-Cliffs says up to 500 temporary layoffs are due to U.S. tariffs
Industry Minister MΓ©lanie Joly is giving the American parent company of Hamilton-based Stelco 15 days to reverse layoffs before turning to the courts.
In a "demand letter" sent to Ohio-based Cleveland-Cliffs on Thursday, Joly says the company is violating its commitments under the Investment Canada Act.
"In the event Cliffs fails to comply with this demand, the Minister may, pursuant to section 40 of the Act, make an application to a superior court," the letter, obtained by Radio-Canada, reads.
Joly indicates that if the government proceeds with legal action, it would be asking the courts to issue monetary penalties against Cleveland-Cliffs...
Industry Minister MΓ©lanie Joly answers questions from reporters in Ottawa on Oct. 14.
