TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

I was up at the crack of dawn, although I didn't feel too perky, but then I don't remember any time in my life where I was very perky any mornings when I was younger, primarily after waking up in a nice warm comfortable bed, like a chick in mother hen's feathers. Through the dreary, grey, cold months, my first thought on waking was "Are you kiddin' me? Get out of this bed? NYA!" 👅

Well, by the time I got around to resuming my intro and discussion for the day, the sun had arisen to bring a beautiful, bright, mild morning to my green space. Now I am beginning to perk up a little after absorbing my first cup of coffee. WOW, my cactus at the back of my throat was getting dry, it NEEDED COFFEEING, not watering!

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

How about a bit of psychology for this morning's discussion time?

SELF IDENTITY

- Google Search -

Self Identity:

In Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Identity refers to a person's self-awareness, including their unique qualities, beliefs, values, and how they perceive themselves in relation to others and the world. A healthy sense of Identity provides confidence, influences how individuals interact with their environment, and is essential for positive emotional and academic outcomes. Developing a strong identity is a core component of SEL, allowing individuals to manage emotions, build relationships, and make responsible choices.

Now For The Opposite

"No self-identity":

Low to no sense of Identity can indicate low self-esteem, poor self-concept, or a weak sense of Identity. It manifests as constant self-criticism, feeling inadequate or unlovable, focusing on negative attributes, and struggling with confidence in daily tasks. Causes can include past negative experiences like bullying, abuse, or neglect, as well as current stressors like job loss, relationship problems, or pressure from social media. If you're experiencing this, consider practicing self-compassion, challenging negative thoughts, focusing on positive aspects of yourself, and seeking support from a psychologist.

My own Diagnosis:

I felt isolated, in a crowd. Because I was different, I thought everyone else was superior to me; I knew nothing, excuse my French, Enfant dans la lune - English = Child in the moon. From my mom, that was a compliment.

Because I was on a different homing beacon than the others, I was the Dans la Lune child. I lived in a different world because this one lacked what I was yearning for: To know what Everything Around Me is about!

When I sobered up at the age of 47, that was when I began to learn what a self-identity was, and that there really was a power greater than me through The Program and any spiritual advisors or books I could get my hands on. I certainly made my amends and paid my debt in full for this cheap room in this HEARTBREAK HOTEL.

I know that psychology is like ten observers studying one object, and all ten will come out with a slightly different concept of what they observed about the specimen under study. 🙃🤨

- Google Search -

Different observers conceptualize the same object differently:

Different observers conceptualize the same object differently due to differences in their personal experiences, perspectives, and frames of reference. This can be explained by two main factors: first, observers are limited by their individual perceptual abilities and may focus on different aspects of the object or interpret the sensory information in unique ways. Second, in the physical realm, relative motion between observers affects their measurements of space and time, leading to different interpretations of an object's position, speed, and duration of events related to it.

Florida’s surgeon general said he didn’t calculate the costs of ending vaccine mandates in the state. But scientists have.

Florida’s surgeon general said Sunday that he had not weighed the cost – in terms of infections, hospitalizations or deaths – of ending vaccine mandates in the state. But scientists who have done those calculations say those costs may be high.

“Absolutely not,” Dr. Joseph Ladapo told CNN’s Jake Tapper when asked whether he had done any data analysis or projections of how many new cases of vaccine-preventable disease there would be if the mandates were lifted for everyone in Florida, including schoolchildren, as he proposed last week. “Do I need to analyze whether it’s appropriate for parents to be able to decide what goes into their children’s bodies? I don’t need an analysis on that,” he said...

  • Threats to vaccination rates:
  • Do mandates matter?:
  • Containment is difficult:

“The rhetoric and the dismantling of institutions or policies that promote vaccination will have a predictable effect,” he said. “And we’re seeing the results of that right now.” ...

Russian aerial bomb kills at least 24 civilians in rural Ukrainian village, government says

Kyiv, Ukraine

A Russian aerial bomb attack has killed at least 24 people and wounded 19 more in the rural Ukrainian village of Yarova in the eastern Donetsk region, Ukrainian officials said Tuesday.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky described the airstrike as “brutally savage” and “directly on people. Ordinary civilians.” He added that “such Russian strikes must not be left without an appropriate response from the world.” A video from the scene shared by Zelensky shows the horrific aftermath, with a number of lifeless bodies – wearing civilian clothing – lying on the ground. Some of the people in the footage appear to be older adults, and many look like they have suffered catastrophic injuries.

Zelensky said the victims were struck as pensions were being handed out in the village, which is only a few miles from the front lines. Pension payments are distributed, among others, by Ukraine’s postal service..

Carney and Smith want a new pipeline. So far, no company has stepped up to build it

None of the major pipeline companies have announced new projects in Western Canada

For all the talk of whether Canada needs a new oil pipeline, there's one thing missing: a company wanting to build it. In June, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said there was "no proponent" and no proposal on the table by any company, but pledged, "There will be soon."

So far, that has yet to materialize.

CMON CANADA, 🍁 PULL THE RAG OUT!

This is not the time to gaggle around chewing the rag, or you will get run over by the steamroller! So shove the money where it needs to be, worry about the F'n Debt later. It can be paid in dividends from the investments in our own country. Geeez, I do pray we don't make this a country of Dunce Cadets, too.
