 TREE HOUSE NEWS🌳

Land of The Whispering Pines

🌞~GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!~🌞

And what a beautiful sunny Thursday morning it is! The golden orange light of the early sun is coming over the treetops, and the early spring birds are singing their merry little melodies in the trees across the street.🐦 I am hoping and looking forward to spending some time in my green space today. I would like to put up the rest of my fake Spanish moss and clean the windows, the sliding glass door, and the living room window so I have access to my green space. I don't know about the bedroom windows, though. Does anyone have Batman's phone number?

I pray I don't get any galloping pains in the arse today. It would be nice to have ONE DAY! One day at a time, thank you, Great Spirit, without the galloping pains in the arse.

Today, I am pleased to discuss something other than the man-child playing pretend king of the universe; it's it's boring. Nobody is going to win in that game, but the US stands to lose a lot more than the rest of the world. What's a country without ethics, honor, pride, and freedom? It would be good to revisit Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to measure our regression in the past 53 days.

THE END

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

I would like to dedicate today's discussion to the science of Archeology instead of wasting a page on that man-child.

There have been some exciting and magnificent finds in the past week or so, including the results of deeper excavation into the ruins of Pompeii. I didn't know that in ancient Rome, some women were hunters, warriors, and leaders, as depicted in recently found frescoes. Double wow! I would so love to be with that excavating team of archeologists!

Archeologists make discoveries in Pompeii ruins

Mount Vesuvius still towers above the ruins of Pompeii, and scientists say the most important dig in a century is taking place. NBC News. Hunter explores the buried city and shares an exclusive look at fascinating finds.

ARCHEOLOGY:

Archaeology is the study of the societies and peoples of the past by examining the remains of their buildings, tools, and other objects. Synonyms: prehistory, protohistory
- Google Search -
ARHSEOGEOPHYSICS:
This science involves using geophysical techniques, such as seismic surveys, to locate and map buried archaeological features.
I have a reason to mention this one as well. They used the same method to see tunnels under the ground at the Giza Plateau, the Egyptian pyramids.

Another Item of interest is:

XUNANTUNICH, BELIZE - CENTRAL AMERICA

People haven't inhabited this site in western Belize for a thousand years, but something else is said to roam the ruins. The name Xunantunich (Stone Woman or Maiden of the Rock) was given to this Mayan archaeological complex in the 19th century – based on alleged sightings of a ghostly woman who disappears as one gets nearer to her. More than 25 palaces and temples are preserved within about three square kilometers here, high on a plateau above the Mopan River. Our image is of the pyramid of El Castillo – BelizBelize'snd-tallest structure.
This is the part that genuinely excites my interest.
Xunantunich, a Mayan ruins site in Belize, features intricate stone carvings and hieroglyphs adorning various structures, including El Castillo, which provide valuable historical records about Maya rulers, events, and mythology.
There is so much to learn. What a waste and a shame that there is the man-child who wishes to deprive us of this knowledge.

White House withdraws nomination of Dr. Dave Weldon to lead CDC

Then they wonder why people hate them, and the hate list grows each day like the five pounds of sh-t is about to find its way out of the one-pound bag.
The White House has withdrawn its nomination of Dr. Dave Weldon to serve as the director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, two Trump administration officials familiar with the decision told -CNN-.
The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee cancelled Weldon’s nomination hearing on Thursday, following the withdrawal. In the past, the CDC director has been appointed to lead the office. This was to be the first time the Senate has had a chance to vote on the nomination to lead the agency.
Trump officials had privately voiced concerns with Weldon’s recent comments expressing skepticism about vaccines. Even US Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has a long history of questioning vaccines, had concerns, the sources said.

Trump threatens 200% tariff on European alcohol as trade war escalates

President Donald Trump on Thursday threatened to impose a massive tariff on European alcohol in response to the European Union’s retaliation against his steel and aluminum tariffs – a tit-for-tat escalation of a trade war that could easily get out of hand.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said his administration would impose a 200% tariff on alcoholic beverages from the EU unless it rescinds the 50% tariff the European government imposed Wednesday on US spirits.
β€œIf this Tariff is not removed immediately, the U.S. will shortly place a 200% Tariff on all WINES, CHAMPAGNES, & ALCOHOLIC PRODUCTS COMING OUT OF FRANCE AND OTHER E.U. REPRESENTED COUNTRIES,” Trump said. β€œThis will be great for the Wine and Champagne businesses in the U.S.”

ArqueologΓa

  1. Comment by: Paula Koval

    Good afternoon, Everyone!

This afternoon is filled with brilliant sunshine and a light breeze to get your attention, and it feels milder than the temperature of 3C. I don't hear any springtime birdsong, but the song of the circular saw nearby cutting wood to build something is a sure sound of spring.

It seems that Trumpkins and Muskrat are a matched pair of narcissistic, transactional, megalomanic toddlers playing with high explosives, knowing that they can't get hurt. They can't get hurt, but millions of others have been, and will be, hurt. If the mass firings of federal civil servants without cause aren't enough, the mass layoffs of working people caused by a contrived trade war are closer to intolerable. Except for Trumpkins and his court fool, Howard, "Tariffs are fun!" Lutnick.

They will cruise on the Ship of Delusion.

Trumpkins placed a 200% tariff on wines and spirits exported by European Union nations, saying it would be good for the American wine and champagne business. What do you substitute for Dom Perrignon, Piper Heidsick, or Moet et Chandon? Burgundy, Pinot Grigio, Chianti, and many European wines have no equal because of the region where their grapes are grown and they're pressed and aged.

    Good luck with that!

Credit where it's due: withdrawing Dr. Weldon's nomination was wise. Even a screaming know-nothing like Robert Kennedy, Jr., his prospective boss, found Dr. Weldon to be too radical in his medical beliefs about vaccination.
Even the blind hog finds an acorn.
    Have a pleasant weekend!

There are no winners in a trade war.

I am baffled about why Trumpkins, Muskrat, Stephen Miller, Lutnick, Russell Vought, and so many in the Trumpkins Cohort are healthy. After screwing so many people in so many countries they should have an STD! Every Republican Congressional Representative and Senator should be looking for an antibiotic for the same reason.

Cindy found some unexpected news from the world of archeology.
The deeper dig in Pompeii was full of surprises, revealing architecture, art, and historical information about daily life in Pompeii. Some women did not take the traditional roles of home and family. I had not heard of this.

The Belize Pyramid shows that the construction of pyramids was closer to universal than we might think. The structure there resembles a step pyramid and a ziggurat, two buildings in the Middle East and Africa.

How did the knowledge to erect them arrive in so many places?

    Reply: The Fairy Lady

Paula Koval: That's an excellent question.

They left all these monuments, which appeared to be made by giants or someone with very advanced technology. It is postulated that they used stone hammers, and maybe they had bronze back then for chisels.

Ever wondered how long it would take to chisel out one of those large stone blocks? It would take a thousand years to cut those stones and then move them on rollers across the desert or even by way of the Nyle on barges towed by a flock of sailboats. How long would that take?

They would have had to have some kind of mechanism to lift the stones, but there's not a trace of how they worked and lifted those stones. It appears like it was built by a child building a pyramid with toy building blocks.

And yes, the idea of building these stone monuments appears to be pretty universal. Thank you for your comment.
