🌅🙏Good morning, everyone! I pray that you all be well, at peace, provided for, and be blessed🙏 🌅

At least it is a beautiful morning here at the Tree House Newsroom.🏡📰 It's bright and sunny, and the air is a bit cool. But it was still nice enough to sit for a while and just enjoy the sun on my face and the birds singing.

Then I heard something very distinctive, something I haven't heard for a very long time. But I had never heard it before in this part of Ontario. A loon? Yes, it was!

Wow! Did that bring back memories of home, where we had a lake for a backyard? I do so miss those days by the lake. Either there or up on top of the hill behind the house, overlooking a good part of the lake, just sitting there watching the sunset and listening to the birds coming to roost. All is coming to silence, then suddenly, in the silence of dusk, I hear the distant, lonely call of the loon.

The loon was usually right at dusk, the twilight zone,🌌😉, like, just before the choir of the frogs among the lily pads on the shoreline of the lake began their chorus. *Triggers:* could be a sound, a smell, a sense, a feeling, a specific color, a knowing, a spontaneous introspective thought, a reminder, a premonition, or déjà vu, etc. A tiny little speck of dust that triggers a massive avalanche. I love that kind of avalanche. Unfortunately, when I avalanche, it seems like the audience gets lost in the avalanche. Party poopers.😆😒

I was under the table, I was the bookie, and I was talking to the cat while taking bets from the rats and the bats that the Maple Leafs will take the Stanley Cup home, and all old bats🏏or🦇 are off. This year, we are Canucks and proud of it! We are winners and masters of our own destiny! Not just another victim of a sadistic monster, another trumpeter enslaved person for the work camps. WE ARE NOT subservient to the Orange Kink Twaddler of Bizarromarica.🥴🙃

I didn't have a particular discussion planned for today, but we can certainly pick something I mentioned in the introduction to the day above, like my memories of the lake back home.

Pope wishes ‘Happy Easter’ to delighted crowds at Vatican after briefly meeting Vance

Pope Francis gave the traditional Easter blessing on Sunday, appearing from the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica in front of delighted crowds after a brief meeting with Vice President JD Vance in what marks his highest-profile appearance yet since being discharged from hospital.

The 88-year-old pontiff has not led the main Holy Week and Easter services but has made brief appearances over the Easter weekend, including spending 30 minutes at a prison in Rome on Thursday and a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica on Saturday evening.

Francis, who spent 38 days in hospital with double pneumonia where he came close to death, is unable to speak for long periods due to his respiratory difficulties and is undergoing physiotherapy to help regain his voice. The pope also has difficulty raising his arms.

The Liberal Party of Canada is promising nearly $130 billion in new measures over the next four years that, when combined with existing spending, will add $225 billion to the federal debt.

In the fall economic statement, the Liberal government of former prime minister Justin Trudeau projected the deficit over the next four years to be $131.4 billion.

"Let's be absolutely clear, this is not a normal fall update, budget lockup," Liberal Leader Mark Carney said during a campaign stop in Whitby, Ont., on Saturday. "We are in the middle of the biggest crisis of our lifetimes.

Al menos es una hermosa mañana aquí en la Sala de Prensa de la Casa del Árbol.🏡📰 Está brillante y soleado, y el aire es un poco fresco. Pero aun así era agradable para sentarme un rato y simplemente disfrutar del sol en la cara y el canto de los pájaros.

Entonces escuché algo muy distintivo, algo que no había escuchado en mucho tiempo. Pero nunca lo había escuchado antes en esta parte de Ontario. ¿Un colimbo? ¡Sí, lo era!

¡Guau! ¿Les trajo recuerdos de casa, cuando teníamos un lago como patio trasero? Extraño muchísimo esos días junto al lago. Ya sea allí o en la cima de la colina detrás de la casa, con vistas a buena parte del lago, simplemente sentado viendo la puesta de sol y escuchando a los pájaros llegar a posarse. Todo se vuelve silencioso, y de repente, en el silencio del crepúsculo, oigo el lejano y solitario canto del colimbo.
