WHAT IS LOVE?

Plato said, "The madness of love is the greatest of heaven's blessings."

But there are times when one must be more conscious and aware of those innermost feelings. Your deepest inner feelings can deceive you.

You first need to know what your true feelings are. Is it just wishful thinking, love at first sight, or are they genuine feelings? Your first true knowing is the wisdom to realise you are treading in an area you are not yet familiar with, so it is easy to become impulsive out of fear. Love is as vast and deep as the stars in the cosmos above.

It can make you or destroy you, and whoever else is involved in your affair. It can cause a personality clash with those around you. Some friends and family may have already made up their minds, but they will go along with you so as not to hurt your feelings, and they will agree with you. However, they will not change their minds once it has been set—judge, jury, and prosecutor.

Sometimes, actually a lot of the time, these people turn out to be right, but you can not see it if you are blinded by your estimation of the one you love.

I have learned in this: That love, the right kind, a love with no alternative reasons except that it's true love, there is no questioning or argument to be had. You become as one in judgment, thoughts, feelings, and misunderstandings, but not to the level of aggressive argument.

¿QUÉ ES EL AMOR?

Platón dijo: «La locura del amor es la mayor bendición del cielo».

Pero hay momentos en los que uno debe ser más consciente de esos sentimientos más íntimos. Tus sentimientos más profundos pueden engañarte.

Primero necesitas saber cuáles son tus verdaderos sentimientos. ¿Son solo ilusiones, amor a primera vista, o son sentimientos genuinos? Tu primer conocimiento verdadero es la sabiduría para darte cuenta de que te estás adentrando en un terreno que aún no conoces, por lo que es fácil volverse impulsivo por miedo. El amor es tan vasto y profundo como las estrellas del cosmos.

Puede ayudarte o destruirte, y a quienquiera que esté involucrado en tu aventura. Puede causar un choque de personalidades con quienes te rodean. Algunos amigos y familiares pueden ya haber tomado una decisión, pero te seguirán la corriente para no herir tus sentimientos y estarán de acuerdo contigo. Sin embargo, no cambiarán de opinión una vez tomada: juez, jurado y fiscal.

A veces, de hecho muchas veces, estas personas tienen razón, pero no puedes verlo si estás cegado por tu propia estimación de la persona que amas.

He aprendido en esto: que el amor, el verdadero, un amor sin más razones que el amor verdadero, no hay cuestionamientos ni discusiones. Se vuelven uno en juicios, pensamientos, sentimientos y malentendidos, pero sin llegar al nivel de una discusión agresiva.

Dos mentes que piensan igual, almas gemelas; dos corazones que aman sin límites, llamas gemelas.
