TREE HOUSE NEWS 🏡

Land of Whispering Pines 🌲

Good morning! May the Great Spirit bless you 🙏

I'm a little late getting started this morning. I got up with abdominal problems, just lay around for a while, then finally got myself to the kitchen to eat my cereal and sip on a coffee. I still feel like I got a critter moving around in there, but otherwise I'm OK. Darn spell check wants a password I be damned if I remember passwords or rememebr where to look for them! Paula is my chief editor and password rememberer. Well, I just shut the darn thing off and reopened it, and now it does what it's supposed to do: 'spell check!'

Well, there is not much more to report here from the Newsroom except that it is actually seasonal temperatures out there, cloudy, and I do pray these clouds make themselves useful and like, do what all good clouds are supposed to do, " have a wee wee! Then get off the pot!" Have as positive a day as is possible on this warm day of June 18, 2025.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION:

ASSERTION & DEDICATION

- Google Search -

In communication, assertion refers to expressing one's thoughts, feelings, or beliefs in a clear and direct manner, often without being aggressive or passive. Dedication, on the other hand, implies a strong commitment or devotion to something, such as a cause, a task, or a person. While both involve a sense of conviction, assertion focuses on expressing oneself, while dedication focuses on commitment and perseverance.

Assertion can be understood as a speech act where the speaker puts forward a claim as true. It's about being clear and direct in expressing one's opinions or needs, while respecting the rights of others.

Assertiveness is a skill that can be learned and practiced, allowing individuals to communicate their needs and boundaries effectively.

Dedication, in contrast, is about a sustained commitment and devotion to a particular goal or purpose. It involves perseverance, hard work, and a willingness to put in the effort required to achieve a desired outcome. Dedication can be seen as a driving force that motivates individuals to overcome obstacles and stay focused on their objectives.

In essence, assertion is about expressing oneself with clarity and directness, while dedication is about committing oneself to a cause or goal with perseverance. Both qualities are important for personal and professional success, but they serve different purposes.

My Opinion: There is a significant difference between dedication and obsession. Obsessed to the point of being convinced you are "There isn't anyone holier than their brave leader - god. Like that of a cult nature. ' The Trumpeters. Followers of the Great Taco Jesus of Bizarromarica'

Dedication is those who uphold and respect the law and uphold the constitution and the freedom, and safety of We, the People.

Assertion:

To assert what is right and what is wrong. It's obvious enough to see without any political paintbrush to paint these politicians into two separate colors. One negative minus one negative equals a fat zero. 1 - 1= 0

ANYONE, just sitting on their arses, like stuffed dolls, with loose appendages, on both sides of the aisle, doing nothing that resembles a humane reaction, except only to breathe and fart, take up a chair when it's safe, and collect a paycheck for doing nothing = 0.

*"Wake the F up and smell the coffee!"*

How much do you miss walking down Main Street, chewin' gum, smilin', noddin' to all passersby, and a bee-bopin' to the music. Dance in the street just because you feel like it. Go into the local pub, have a great meal, shoot pool, drink some beer with your friends, tell stories, and make all the political jokes you want without worrying about getting arrested. Arse picking Orange Pus Bag! 300lbs of sh-t in a five pound ziplock bag. "Ya better pray the ziplock holds out or you will have orange sh-t all over town!"

Supreme Court upholds Tennessee's ban on gender-affirming care for trans youth

Supreme Court upholds Tennessee's ban on gender-affirming care for trans youth

The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld Tennessee's ban on gender-affirming care for trans minors in a blockbuster ruling that will bolster efforts by conservative state lawmakers to pass and preserve other divisive laws targeting transgender Americans.

The 6-3 decision by a conservative majority is a major blow to the transgender community and its advocates at a critical time. Since 2020, Republican-led states around the country have passed a wave of laws regulating the lives of trans Americans, with a particular focus on minors. And President Donald Trump, who ran for reelection in part on ending the "transgender lunacy," has taken several steps intended to roll back gains made by that community. Roughly half of the nation's states have bans similar to Tennessee's.

BIZAROMARICA WHERE DREAMS GO TO DIE.

Happy F'n 4th of July.

I am so disheartened that I will not go any further with the politics from across the border unless it is a near-catastrophic failure or some other event of a catastrophic nature. I just had enough of the cruelty for one day. My only request is that YOU DO what you need to do to throw whatever sticks you have in the spokes of the wheels of Kink Taco Jesus's bicycle. Let us take time to pray and meditate.-

In Kananaskis, the G7 held together, but showed signs of strain

At the end of the 50th summit, Carney makes the case for continued dialogue

After Prime Minister Mark Carney and President Donald Trump met one-on-one for 30 minutes on Monday morning, but before their respective teams joined to continue the discussion, the two leaders invited reporters and television cameras into a meeting room in Kananaskis, Alta. to witness them exchanging formal pleasantries.

Carney opened by wishing the president a belated happy birthday and then noted the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army (the reason for Trump's military parade in Washington this past weekend). The prime minister then segued to the fact this was the 50th anniversary of these meetings of the leaders of the world's most powerful democracies.

"And the G7 is nothing without U.S. leadership, your personal leadership, leadership of the U.S.," Carney said.

In fairness, Carney also told German Chancellor Friedrich Merz that "we'd be nowhere without Germany and without you personally" and he said that French President Emmanuel Macron, the current dean of the G7 leaders, offered "essential" leadership. But perhaps, given the context, this suggestion to Trump resonates differently.
